Cara Mia

I am in love! If someone had told me that there is a scent out there that combines "old grandma scent" and sensual scent in a perfume bottle I would have not believed them but this right here is the epitome of "yes I am older and still confident in my skin"- to note, I am only 25. Yet I can totally see myself rocking this in every damn age, not for 20 y/o younger tho. It kind of has this mature feel to it that a youthful person would perhaps not like in their fragrances. It is encaptivating, so creamy smooth almost leathery type of way but it so fresh and soapy, I would feel like a rich bish while wearing this. Get a hint of the iris as well even though the cardamom is overpowering but not in a head achingly way. This leans more unisex- this also reminds me of old times for some reason. Has a nostalgic feel to it definitely.

خیلی عطر خوبیه به علاوه‌ی اینکه خیلی زنونه نیست و خانومایی که عطر مردونه دوست دارن می‌تونن این عطر رو امتحان کنن. یک فضایی تند و مایل به تلخ داره که در عطرهای کاملا زنونه کم پیدا میشه. در مجموع عطر متفاوت دوست‌داشتنی محسوب میشه. It is an excellent perfume, plus it's not too much feminine, and a woman who likes masculine perfumes, can try this perfume. It has a spicy atmosphere and a soft bitter scent which can not found much in feminine perfume. finally it is a different and lovely fragrance.

Aigner Cara Mia is a warm, elegant fragrance I really love. It feels sophisticated and comforting at the same time, with a spicy-woody depth that works beautifully both day and night. For me, it gives the same kind of vibe as Bottega Veneta and Rogue by Rihanna — refined, confident, and slightly earthy — but Cara Mia feels a bit softer and more wearable. Definitely a great blind buy if you enjoy warm, classy scents with character.

One of my favorite balsamic scent, at first it's not that captivating but I like that it's warm, not too feminime and the silage is good. If I put it in one word, it would be sensual. It's not that expensive too, nice deal.

Love it! This is definately my second best fragrance ever. I am happy I found it. I hope Aigner will not discontinue it any time soon (I am "lucky" that way).

I truly love this fragrance. I wear it to the gym here in our very warm sultry humid funky climate of Singapore.

First sniff, its SJP lovely! nice perfume, good projection, no headache induce, love it

*English is not my first language.* These warm, spicy, ambery woody patchouli concoctions are not at all common, typical nor popular here in Finland for women to wear - we are more floral, fresh, musky and sugary fruity gals. Cara Mia is not my best perfume to get the job done when I want to stand out, but I still like it. It fits into every season, day and night, lasts forever with moderate silage, and price is great for those short on cash. Starts with a fresh yet warm blast of spices, but no citrus - my nose can never detect any citrus from top notes. In time, that spicines mellows down a bit, turning into a bit more sweet floral-y kinda smell, until patchouli jumps in. It's a bit masculine, but I'd say that it works for its favour. It's not candy-sweet fruitjuice, which seems to appease men as well. "This makes a woman smell like money and sex!" - said one stranger to me, back then don't know when. Nice and comforting in fall/winter, interesting during spring, and sexy, exotic and wild summer surprise. All year around- fragrance. A keeper.

Very fresh on my skin. Bergamot and mandarin. I decided I will use it as my summer of '22 scent. Btw; I reread the reviews and now I am afraid Corona messed up my olfactory system; I really dislike Bottega Veneta, so can't say there's any similarity...and Morticia Adams?! No way, this is far to bright for her! And on me it doesn't smell balsamic (yet). Hope I can still distinguish the smell of an old cupboard....(wouldn't want to smell like one!)

The bergamot-patchouli combo evokes a spontaneus, happy memory of Midnight Poison (though Perles de Lalique is more literal in that sense). The peppery iris steers it in another direction (iris for some reason tends to make me think of Guerlain). Cardamom adds interest. A very pleasing, well-rounded fragrance this. I am positively surprised.

Just Iris on me. Nothing in common with Bottega Veneta. OK, I change my mind a bit. There is similarity in cold weather. But Cara Mia is too sharp and kinda old fashioned.

Light, pleasant, and likeable, not an attention grabber. Sillage and projection are weak making this fragrance feel more lika a body mist than a fragrance. Very office-friendly. Great for someone who doesn't like strong perfume.

Reminds me to the Elixir des Merveilles, but cannot be compared. I would use it in the gym. I really like the comment of "ayken"! You are absolutely right!

( زنونه های مردونه نما ) عطرهایی که زنونه معرفی شدند ولی آقایون هم به راحتی می‌توانند استفاده کنند . طبق ادعای ایگنر . کارا مایا دقیقا ی عطر مدرن با کاراکتر و روحی کلاسیکه . که واضحا از فضای عطرهای چند دهه قبل اقتباس شده من شخصا طرفدار این سبک عطرسازی هستم ( اصول و شیوه و متریال مدرن در عطرسازی و خروجی با کیفییت و واقع گرا) . کارا مایا تو ژانر بویایی ارینتال اسپایسی خودشو نشون میده شروعی نسبتا کمپلکس از پچولی و اوکموس و حس بوی پوست مرکبات بالاخص پوست پرتقال و حس رزینی تو قلب عطر آکورد اسپایسی مثل حس بوی تند فلفل سیاه و عطر هل همراهی می‌کنه درای داون عطر با حفظ ماهیت فضای شروع به سمت حس و حال فروتی مثل خانواده بری و موسکی پیش می‌ره عطر از نظر ساختار بسیار واقع گرا و زیبا فرمول شده . کیفییت عطر بسیار بالاست پرفورمنس عطر چه در پخش بو چه در ماندگاری بسیار مطلوب پیش می‌ره . اگه از فضای عطرهایی مثل کوکو مادمازل شانل . میس دیور . او سووْ پارفوم دمپایر . و اصولاً از محوریت بوی پچولی و اوکموس و رز و موسک لذت میبرید این عطر ارزنده رو حتما تو لیست تست خودتون قرار بدید . . ایگنر تا امروز ثابت کرده جزو معدود برندهایی هست مثل لالیک . مابوسین که ارزش عطری که بدست مصرف کننده میده در مقابل پولی که میگیره در فضای قیمت گزاری حاکم در مارکت عطر. بسیار بالا و عالی عمل می‌کنه

Got it from Jomashop for a song. Was looking for a replacement for Bottega Veneta that is hard to find anymore and is getting more expensive. What can I say? It is nice, pretty close to BV in the middle, but the opening is a bit screechy and the lasting power is not all that great. Just like with BV, I smell a strong phantom suede note. Yes, I know it's not there, but i smell those unmistakable tall suede boots that my mother had in the 80s and I cleaned now and then like some sort of a boots zealot ( yes, I was a weird child). I suspect that the screechy opening is owed to black pepper, it's almost a culinary note in here, and not in a good way... if it was soup I'd be delighted but it's perfume, so I am just bracing myself from grabbing a spoon for the first 20 minutes after spraying it on myself. If you will get over the soupy interlude, like I did, you will be left with a very pleasant and prim iris/ patchouli/ citrus quiet, almost skin scent.

18. May 2018 Im also surprised there is no leather note in the notes (aigner is known for their leather goods), because it smells a lot like peppery leather with addition of iris and labdanum. Its totally unisex but has a softer sillage. Its totally not über feminine or sweet. A "strict" scent. I do smell oranges along the way. Works better probably in colder weather, also during summer when its chilly. Not bad at all. At least very interesting P.s. after a while it turn medicinal on my skin, so sadly not for me. P.p.s. the day after its still on my wrist and it smells absolutely masculine leathery/peppery. So longevity is good. But i dont like to smell manly, so ill pass.

I just got my Cara Mia online for around $40. Read some reviews that lead me to a blindbuy but I don't disappointed with the oerfume. I can tell you it smells really woodsy, peppery and leathery. It gives me a vintage feeling, I smell like an old cupboard, I like it thou Overall it doesn't heavy at all. It's soft and peppery

Edit: spoke too soon. The cardamom has grown on me. Patchouli, then cardamom, and a suede-like iris. Delicious patchouli opening that segues into a painful sharpness. It feels like cleaning products in my nose. Maybe a whisper of something like Bottega Veneta underneath, but I can't get past the everlasting sharpness.

This turns into an earthy, warm and almost mossy comforting perfume after the initial blast of, I really do hate to say this, but toilet cleaner citrus. I love the Shalimar Bergamot opening and the wonderful powdery aftermath that defines the scent. I would say if you like Shalimar give Cara Mira a chance.

I bought this perfume for my wife due to I like the design of the bottle which is very manly design. Unfortunately or fortunately, my wife did not like it at all. So I wear this perfume occasionally. The smell is nice and the performance (longevity and projection) is very good.

The first thing that i smell was balsamic. the balsamic so strong when my mom wearing it. then 5 mins after that u can smell floral notes. its not spicy only woody and floral tht u can smell so strong with balsamic opening. the sillage super and very long lasting.

This smells nice and elegant, but it lacks femininity and it is very linear. Sillage is close to the skin but longevity is great. 7+ hours and counting. Try it if you like unisex and light powdery scents.

I can't believe leather is not listed as a note. I smell bittega veneta classic 95% The 5 % remaining is musky a bit fresher note.

Aaaaah, The Addams Family! ;) Anybody else got that association? Maybe this is what Morticia smells like?

It's a high class balsamic woody fragrance which suites for both male and female.

As SOON as I saw it I thought Addams Family! Bravo!
