Musk Eau de Parfum

If you don't like minimalist scents, you can skip this one because it's more of an aura than projection. It has an intellectual feeling to it, almost like something a Harvard professor or someone in academia would wear. The woods that they used smell natural and ethereal, and the guaiac is dominant for a while in the heart. It's not one of those "not a perfume" fragrances, and it does have the a clean white Italian silk or cotton textiles vibe, but it doesn't smell like laundry at all. Ive never tried the original so I can't compare it with that, but I've personally never smelled anything similar to this. Nothing like Ambrette 9, Acca Kappa Muscio Bianco, or BLV PH all of which I've tried or owned. Maybe a little bit sliver like Nasomatto Silver Musk and Guaiac 10 but without the smoke. I believe this might be base notes of Gomma, which is a 10/10 fragrance, but discontinued and expensive. A nice and unique scent, but not for everyone. a simple, straightforward musk- very pretty and blends so well with my skin- i honestly forgot I was wearing it. a little too similar to other powdery musks that I already own to consider shelling out for the full size, but if i found it second hand for a deal it would be hard to pass up.

An antique palace of clouds. The veil I sense from a distance when someone else is wearing it has this aldehydic quality, a hairspray note in the best possible way. Up close, there's a woody angle with a som how chewy quality to it: I always mean to say "nutty" but it's nonsense, so I guess it's just guaiac I smell. A woody note that supports the warmth and transparency of the scent without trying too hard to imply its "woodiness", smoke or a darker hue. Sn general, this is a musk in the clouds, with just one foot reaching the tops of the trees maybe. Although it seem simple and easily named, I wouldn't say I've smeled something like it before. The best way to describe it without sounding generic would be that it's in tone with the atmosphere suggested by other Etro scents until then traditional, vintage even, and at the same time created with today's fabrics. Simple but subtly nuanced.

another try from Kata’s testers. i usually like woody musky perfumes, its my preferred kind but this aint it for me. its a bit too ellusive and meek for me but even if it were more assertive theres something a bit vomit-y in it? maybe it just really doesnt match with my skin - this would explain the lacking longevity. i would like it more if it were stronger, but as of now it lacks that zhuzh that makes me go !:0

For anyone wondering - Musk EDP is extremely similar to the EDT. The EDP is slightly creamier, woodier, and perhaps a touch smoky. The EDT is dewier, fresher, and a touch green. Both have a zen, tea like, clean feeling. Both are very lovely.

Standard white musk scent with light powdery-chalk nuances. It's simple and light. A little bit of woods thrown in as well. Doesn't last too long, but it's not something you haven't smelled anyway. It's okay, but forgettable. 6/10
