Via Verri Vintage Limited Edition

Wow~this is GORGEOUS!!! I'm currently on a rose bender so have been buying or trying every version that I can get my hands on it seems. Well fate stepped in and gave me a kiss. A darling swap buddy sent me this from The Netherlands and now I'm indebted to her for life. This is pure unadulterated womanly rose veiled by soft, tantalizing spices. The spices never distract from the rose. They enhance her and allow her to become more.....carnal. The spices never entirely go away either. It's as if they are gently holding up these plush, velvety, rose petals that are just starting to wilt. As if her beauty was so irreplaceable that they were called on to extend it just a litle bit longer. I've never smelled anything quite like this one and I cherish my bottle. Those who do not walk comfortably under the visage of woman need not apply. This rose is experianced in the art of love. She is dripping w/a sensuality that will seduce for hours and hours. Sillage is perfect. Very present w/out being too much. Longevity on me is a good 8+ hours. This one is the form in the corner of a dark dinner house/lounge. As you get closer to examine what that dark corner holds you are stunned at the voluptuous beauty that reveals herself to you as you approach. Why have I never seen her before you wonder........

At the beginning enters the bergamot + pure cardamom. Then long open the note of wood as in Majda Bekkali fait un reve, clean , light recent , adds the iris. Afterwards the rose with the jasmine posts freshness and subtlety , cleanness is sparkled , and musk. By the all scent is very very light and subtle. It will not tire. The elegant scent on an everyday basis. We smell the hand ...I feel nothing except the cleanness soapy skin, I move I scent the light flashy feminine scent. <3

An original and unusual as all the other Etro scents. Refreshing, sweet and spicy at the same time. I'm not a citrus lover, but mandarins there are on their place, not nasty and they are framing the spicy beginning. Then comes sweet jasmine with nutmeg. I don't feel woody notes to my disappointment, but may be it's my skin chemistry. I don't feel any rose here, even a hint of a rose. Are there different versions of it?

This is an absolutely lovely fragrance. It smells rich and floral, like you were bathing in hundreds of roses. On top of that it lasts long and you can mix it up with other Etro Fragrances, try it with viccolo fiori.

Still batting a 1000. I sampled another Etro; a nice, light spring floral and I like it. I’m not sure I picked up rose because the spices took over—maybe cardamon?—but it’s quite enjoyable. A little citrus also detected in the opening. Drydown is all about Jasmine, musk and a little pepper. Performance for an ETA is better than average. My scent does not say “vintage limited edition”. My sample dauber is from the Etro Discovery EDT pack of five, so I’m not sure this is the same scent as the one listed above. I won’t go out of my way to acquire Via Verri because I have a large collection, but I wouldn’t turn down a good deal either.

My sample of Via Verri is another one I acquired by chance and wouldn't have picked out for myself. Sometimes these occasions turn out to be serendipitous and I end up with a new favourite that I never would have known about otherwise, so I always give everything that falls into my hands a fair test, but in this case it turned out to be exactly as far from my thing as the note list made me think. It's a good, high quality scent, but it's a genre that does nothing for me: quite spicy, woody, musky, and a little watery or at least very light and transparent. There is a little rose in here, but to my nose it definitely isn't as dominant as voters on this page have indicated - but that might be due to the confusion between the vintage and the contemporary version? So Via Verri left me rather cold, to be honest. It's not just that it's not my genre, but also that it has so little power (as in fact I've noticed with the only other Etro I've ever tested). To exaggerate a little (but only a little), I put it on in the morning, and my only thought about it before I completely forget it's there is "I think I might cook something spicy for dinner tonight"... Not exactly the experience I want from a perfume, and especially not such an expensive one! But as I say, I'm just not into this genre, and I'm sure for those who are this very subtlety will be part of the allure as well.

I expected to find myself in Vía Verri with a fragrance basically with the smell of rose, a fresh and velvety rose, but no, none of that, that is why I recommend to test first before buying any fragrance. Via Verri is a citrus cologne with a spicy touch, the floral notes supposedly should occupy the heart notes, but there is hardly anything floral, no jasmine, let alone detect pink. The only floral and powdery touch that I detect is the agreement of iris with faceted facets that feels subtle and delicate, this is associated with light woody notes with a point of musk that could be cashmeran. The fragrance is soft, light, nothing natural, but with a good balance, it has little projection. I find it suitable for daily use and with a unisex character. For the rest, not much more to say. For my taste, and without being horrendous, it is far from being a good fragrance. Rating: 4

This is not Via Verri. This is Via Verri Vintage, which is a spicy rose scent, fresh, sparkling, still masculine because of its spices. Smells almost like a barber-shop rose. I recommend this even to men. The notes listed above belong to Via Verri (2010). This is a complete different scent, green, spicy. The flower in this scent is jasmin not rose. Melts down to a creamy, aromatic something. Total unisex.

I bought a sample and was expecting something great from this fragrance. Actually first 10 minutes I was impressed and like "I'm gonna buy it, it could be my favorite". It smelled so spicy and fresh and so elegant, White pepper, cardamom, bergamot were perfectly blended as for me. But after those great ten minutes I feel only iris and musk. My two sisters had the same feeling.

My experience with this perfume which I own, and was purchased in Europe , is very similar to that of Kchild and Geri: hundreds of fresh sweet and spicy wonderful roses... Which is so different than the listed notes here... What is going on? Really unusual for a scent to depart that much from what is expected...

Another beautiful cardamom and musk centered frag from etro- feels like Etra Etro mixed with vicolo fiori- spicy and lotiony. Minimal projection is the only thing I have to criticize here.

Via Verri (the new version) reminds me MiN NY Astronomy Domine, event though AD is more complex and niche one.
