Althea

The perfume called Althea was launched in 2011, with a different look than the one shown in the photo above, which came with the repackaging for the line. Only the burgundy color of the bottle was kept as a visual reference for older users. The fragrance of Althea is classified, by Eudora, as floral-woody and mysterious. But it's not all wrong if you believe it's a white floral-musky scent. The olfactory pyramid reveals top notes of apple, bergamot, and mandarin orange, over a body of jasmine, lily, and gardenia, and a base of vanilla, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, and, of course, the Eudora’s Secret accord. In conceptual matters, Althea talks about the sensual woman, who leaves her irresistible trail wherever she goes. In practice, it is the perfume that we usually call, in the popular, “grown woman perfume” or “sexy scent”. And, once again, the power of white florals in terms of sensuality, extravagance, and mystery is proven. On the skin, the fragrance is juicy and, at the same time, velvety. The jasmine brings its fruity facets, but it still gives a bit of powdery content. The gardenia gives elegance and solar aspect, while the musk recalls that of animal origin, here much more sensual and reinforced by the Eudora’s Secret accord. Althea is not a scent of great evolution, but it leaves a trail and lasts very well. For some reason, it is one of those feminine scents that I identify with a lot and that, in a way, tend to keep a number of more loyal users, even when they try new things in their perfumed relationships. Althea shows that a perfume does not have to be golden, black or lacquered to be seductive. Nor does it need to be manufactured abroad to have quality. In fact, this concept has already fallen apart for a long time, since the market is full of variations (flankers) and these do not always convey what they communicate. Have you identified yourself?
