Miss Florale

The fragrance of Miss Florale was the bet of Eudora for the end of the year 2020. The concept approached flowers as a symbol of optimism and the valorization of female self-care. With that in mind, the launch brought not only the perfume but also hand cream, bar soaps, and body lotion. The fragrance of Miss Florale is classified, by the manufacturer, as floral-sweet. It has notes of bergamot, apple, nectarine, and mandarin orange, on the top. Then, the heart brings notes of jasmine, peony, and pink pepper, while the base reveals notes of cedar, musk, tonka bean, patchouli, sandalwood, and praline. For me, Miss Florale is a floral-gourmand perfume, which starts well and ends badly. The output is delicious, fruity, youthful, and guarantees a quick sale in the store. It has a lot of apple and mandarin content, juiciness without much sweetness, in short, everything is good. On my skin, however, this output disappears in about 15 minutes and the floral side tries to emerge. And, usually, notes of jasmine and peony don't usually go wrong. The problem is that the base notes come too early in the process. And that means that the creamy sandalwood combined with the gourmand accord of the praline, run over evolution and bring a vanilla smell, which overshadows the flowers and imparts a synthetic and medicinal aroma, which reminds me of those low-quality machine ice creams (when syrup goes in and ice cream comes out) or pink marshmallows, with a strawberry/raspberry scent. After more than an hour of application, the fragrance of Miss Florale is smooth and smells like a body moisturizer, with a very characteristic scent. At this point, it no longer exudes and that only reinforces my disappointment. Visually speaking, Miss Florale was launched in the same bottle as Velvet Cristal (2016), Divine Lace (2018), Charm Cetim, and Belle Lã (both from 2019). This review ends a period dedicated entirely to Eudora’s fragrances on my blog. And after pleasant surprises, I think my disappointment is due to a common denominator: Eudora's Secret accord. It is already known that such an exclusive accord is always present in the company's compositions (especially for women), as it brings a combination of amber and musk that confers a sensual content and helps to prolong the durability of fragrances. The problem, however, is that I have seen/read comments saying that “all Eudora fragrances are sweet”, “all Eudora fragrances have the same drying”, etc. And this is not a complete lie! Particularly, I am a fan of the brand's fragrances and I think that most of them have an excellent cost-benefit ratio. However, if they do not change the floral-oriental-sweet style and decide to take a chance on fresh, citrus, luminous creations with their own personality, there will come a time when the consumer will have difficulty when choosing.
