Cuir Blanc

Beguiling, silky-soft, fragrant powdery suede indeed. It is not remotely punchy or macho; while it's definitely unisex, I'd say it leans slightly feminine for that iris/violet accord. It is whisperingly gentle, always, without being weak, and the leatheriness does intensify a little after a few hours. But this is a very well-mannered lady leather indeed, you could wear it anywhere without giving the wrong impression. Sort of evokes Audrey Hepburn in my imagination - impeccably turned out in something elegant but not quite daring, yet oozing class and sophistication. It doesn't hit the heady, darker, swirlier heights of some spicy designer leathers I lust after, but it is a secret weapon if you need something apparently conformist but really a little few notches above the norm. I interchange this and Serge Lutens Daim Blond as the sweeter, more caressing leather I need on a bad day; they are sort of cousins, with Daim Blond's apricots here replaced by the iris and amber. For me, the sillage is discreet, but longevity respectable at up to 6 hours.

I didn't realize how important the description of the idea for this perfume was: that its creator was pregnant. The opening is warm baby powder. Separate the chalky talcum from the fragrance used to perfume baby powder and deepen & sophisticate it with warm amber and gentle florals, this is cuir blanc. It's warm and mildly sweet. Chamomile is not listed as a note here, but it seems present and strong...maybe that's the saffron. There are no contrasting abrasive or sharp notes. This is a lovely fragrance, but it's very niche in it's usage, so i can't justify a full bottle unless I have a positive pregnancy test. I'd say the longevity is pretty good. I just hopped out of the shower, and it still lingers on my skin.

I like it very much. Very soft, not harsh leather in any way. I am addicted to the smell of leather, but I have never found any perfume who would smell leathery enough. The leathery smell in perfumes is formed by iris an violet leaves. Unfortunately my brain cannot be fooled and does not translate this combinations as the "smell of leather". I just smell violet leaves and iris. This perfume is no exeption. I don't smell any real leather, I smell lot of iris, but very soft one. On me it is mildly sweet, soft scent, very gourmand and a little bit milky (nor spoiled milk, but very fresh and cool one). If I haven't see the notes I would think it smells like strawberries in milk with a lot of iris on top.

Very pleasant perfume, warm, almost gourmand, sweet and aromatic. Beautiful, almost fresh and subtly spiced opening, after half an hour transforms into warm, a bit powdery iris and very slowly turns into suede leather. Although there is this very distinct, sweet undertone I think the perfume could be worn by both - male and female, especially those loving luxury and comfort.

Dirty leathery masculine scent that for some reason smells quite clean/fresh. The dominant note is the Russian leather and I have to say that Russian leather is not a bad leather, it is a high class leather. I would love to smell like this when I m going out with friends for a cup of tea/coffee on a cold autumn/winter evening. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 7/10

Very clean leather perfect for sunny days

I usually concur with Originaldeftom's reviews (from memory) but I have to say I had quite a nice experience with this. Now I've tried nearly all of this range in store at some time or another over the past few years and only the amber one stuck in my head. Now I have samples of the main ones I wanted to revisit and although this fragrance is named 'cuir' I take that with a soupcon of sodium chloride these days. The opening to me was sweet and flowery, a kind of raspberry amber and immediately crying niche and feminine. Then a light suede develops and that sweet jammy smell like a mixture of jasmine and rose (although not listed and probably not in here!)or something? The floral I can definitely smell is iris giving a woody powder. Although not prominent I've no doubt saffron is in here too because Cuir blanc has a soft, earthy cream to it. If you take nothing else away from reading this review the main thing I want to say is... CUIR BLANC DOES HAVE A BASE IN LEATHER. IT'S A SOFTER SWEETER AND MORE FEMININE VERSION OF TUSCAN LEATHER. However it doesn't have the lasting power or depth of the Tom Ford, only baring a passing resemblance and does have some lighter top notes. The performance was okay and I actually really liked it, despite being what I perceive as more feminine leaning.

3rd one I have tried so far of the range and so far the most disappointing one. Very soft and very little staying power on my skin but it is probably intended to be a softer, intimate, close to skin scent. Good interpretation of a beige suede smell and again very linear as it does not develop at all. Just not good enough to cut it in my book.

It’s a nice one: fresh suede leather combined with flowers, a green note (violet leaf) and the base. Not too animalistic/sweaty. If other leather fragrances are too much for you, you might want to try this one out, it’s pretty delicate. Not overly sweet. Not very long lasting though, 3hours tops and it sits pretty close to the skin.

A completely feminine flavor(perfume), a good behaviour, a good trail, a highly-rated sound floral intoxicating is portable with difficulty for a man, it is a flavor(perfume) opulant to be carried(worn) by women who can assume(accept) the side great(tall) lady! The leather and the amber puts the flower (violet thus because I does not feel the saffron) in head, heart-shaped and in bottom on the powder center stage A strong more floral floral leather that leather for me for the ONE who looks for a leather without the powerful facet. He(It) carries(wears) well his(its) name this flavor(perfume): white leather but a feminine white leather and not unisex! In french: Un parfum complètement féminin, une bonne tenue, un bon sillage, son coté florale entêtant est difficilement portable pour un homme, c'est un parfum opulant à porter par des femmes qui peuvent assumer le côté grande dame! Le cuir et l'ambre mette la fleur (violette donc car je ne ressent pas le safran) en tête, en coeur et en fond sur le devant de cette scène poudré. Un cuir floral plus floral fort que cuir pour moi pour CELLE qui cherche un cuir sans la facette puissante. Il porte bien son nom ce parfum : cuir blanc mais un cuir blanc féminin et pas unisex!

Aroma is an intellectual. Beautiful from beginning to end! Leather .. white gloves on the graceful hands of a stately woman, who most likely is not a bright beauty, but a Woman of inner nobility, high intelligence and stunning femininity (if the phrase "stunning femininity" is possible at all :-). The fragrance is really very feminine, sophisticated, on my cold skin is very firm and plume, which is very valuable to me. Of course, you need to be sure to test, I know that this fragrance does not sit down perfectly at all, unfortunately, but from me it deserves the highest marks on all perfumery items! Beautiful p.s. about persistence. Maybe you apply the scent with namaz (?) Try to spray, as well as maybe you possess the hot skin, on the cold skin this fragrance is beautiful, persistent and plume.

Cuir Blanc opens with a muted scent of a raw hide and feels almost photorealistic, even though it isn't. For a brief moment it's almost got that tire smell, but not quite. It's never pungent or overbearing, even in the opening. But that only lasts for a while before it's gone. What remains is a transluscent veil that combines a soft leather note with a prominent violet and iris combo. If you can even call either prominent. It is to my nose more soapy than powdery, unlike what the violet would suggest. It's not particularly cold, but I definitely think of it more as a white leather car seat than warm, buttery soft suede.

Sensual, elegant leather. It reminds me a lot of Tom Ford's White Suede. It could be unisex. I'm a male and I wear it. Every time it is a pleasant experience. It transports me to where I bought it, the island of Mykonos. The violet and the iris make it very dry on my skin, there is also a sweetness to it, but not in the vanilla sense, maybe it comes from the musk notes. Overall a comfortable, sophisticated fragrance. Not loud, just perfect.

@spyturtle I also came here because of that video, so I guess it’s not all bad for him since it got him some free advertising - or at least whoever owns this company did. He was just a workplace casualty 🤣 He was even eager to give them free perfume because he thought they smelled so bad.

If you're here from the Hunter Williams video, Evody is a great, frequently overlooked house. I've never heard of a single one of the other brands he visited besides Thomas Kosmala, lol.

Yup here from Hunter! Might have to track down a sample of this to see if I like it for my husband! Sales guy was awesome!
