10019 Wonders

Now hear me out, as I'm not saying they smell the same or even similar BUT This scratches my itch for Britannia. Both offer, powdery, opulent, high quality chocolatey experience but while Britannia feels more ..."classic", 10019 wonders feels a bit more modern; A bit more playful and less buttoned up compared to Britannia. Now don't get me wrong; This can very much be warm formally but could also be worn a lot more casually as well. Performance is lovely but this is a bit of a semi soft fragrance; if you overspray you will get a bit more noticed but you won't fill up a room like the girls down in Greenwich village do when they decide to bathe in BR540 and choke out an entire city block 😒😒😒.

The opening of this is lovely but I’m absolutely obsessed with the drydown. I don't tend to like gourmands but this one is airy and sophisticated. The cinnamon note at the beginning can throw me off a bit but once that fades, the blend of caramel, date and vanilla is really smooth and well-done. When I catch whiffs of it throughout the day from my hair and my sweater, I go straight to heaven. It’s like the most fluffy caramel vanilla cake. Performance is very good. It lasts 18 hours on my skin and I can smell it on my clothes for days after. Very unique too, I haven't smelled anything quite like it. I'm happy I bought a bottle during the Bergdorf beauty sale.

I blind bought this in Nov. 2024. I asked the SA to include a sample; so I could return it if I didn't like it. This is a light, elegant gourmand. The vanilla, dates and caramel all play well together. I like it, but do I love it? It projects well enough, but I wonder what it will smell like on skin in the summer. I have yet to open the box; so it's still in it's cellophane wrapping. I'm waiting until summer to truly determine if this is a must-have perfume.

I usually loathe cocoa note in fragrances but this is stunning. Jordie Fernandez is becoming the Michael Jordan of perfumers. Is there anything this guy touches that doesn't smell phenomenal? I've quickly fallen for this house. Ex nihilo where have you been my whole life!? Guys, get your nose on this one! Projection and sillage is next level & the performance is second to none.

This is the most beautiful perfume I have ever smelled, and became my favorite fall/winter scent so far. It’s so elegant and it just smells like something special. It’s the only gourmand from ex Nihilo but it does not smell edible at all, this is a sophisticated chic warm-sweet scent. Really want to gatekeep this one but I can’t stop talking about it.

Gorgeous fragrance. Sweet, delicious gourmand. Very nutty and slightly spicy. Very opulent, extremely sexy. Cold weather femme fatale stuff. 9/10

I'm usually not into what I call "kitchen fragrances," but this one is masterfully crafted. It's incredibly smooth, effortlessly appealing, and unfolds without a single harsh edge. It gracefully dances between sweet and sour, warm and cool minty nuances, keeping things interesting every step of the way. Then... cumin decides to make an entrance. 😄 It pops up in the drydown like an uninvited guest and, for me, steals the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. If you're not cumin-sensitive, though, you'll probably find this to be a beautifully composed fragrance from start to finish.

I got a bottle of this with the rose oil blended in after smelling a sample of that combination at Bergdorf Goodman. The rose is a key element for me in keeping this from being overly sweet to my nose, but it’s still quite a delectable gourmand! For me the rose strikes a great balance with the “foodie” notes, so if you pure gourmands aren’t for you, but you get a chance to try the combination, I would definitely recommend giving it a sniff!

This is a wonder indeed and it shines best in the coldest of Winter! Quite sugary but in an oriental way if that makes any sense. Dates and almonds are most prominent on my skin and give a middle eastern vibe to this beauty! I would say towards the dry down, it leans more on the masculine side. But still, it is a unisex scent and very beautiful! So glad I got a sample of this and I’ll probably get a full bottle sometime in the future!

This isn't even my type of fragrance but this is incredible- especially when it dries down. Before looking at the notes, I thought of it as a vanilla and slightly fruity fragrance meant for the cooler fall weather and winter. It's somewhere in the middle of being airy, yet rich/complex. It's sophisticated but fun. It does lean feminine a bit, but this one can blur some boundaries.

Delicious but too sweet for me to wear for any length of time.

I get a cumin note in this scent in the dry down that completely ruins the perfume for me. Shares some similarities with Soie Malaquais

This is a gorgeous fragrance, although I’m more fond of the opening than I am the dry down. In the drydown it gets boring to me. The delicious date smell in the opening is what really got me hooked and I wish it stayed around longer. I want that scent the whole life of the fragrance because it’s so beautiful. I found it to have good longevity but poor performance in terms of sillage. I could smell it for 6-8 hours on my skin, putting my nose up close to it but I only got an hour ish of projection sadly and thus my search for the perfect date perfume continues. If the date smell stayed longer I would probably consider a FB even though the performance is so so.

I blind bought this one and my goodness! Gorgeous! It’s SO unique, I don’t have anything like this in my collection. Sexy, delicate, classy but seductive! Dates are prominent in the opening but it fades as the fragrance starts to develop. 40 minutes later the cacao comes to play with the almond - the fragrance becomes sweeter and sweeter as it starts to dry down. The completely dry down is my favorite part: it’s sweet but not sickening sweet, nutty, the dates are very soft, cacao is around and the caramel starts to shine! Performance is amazing, I can still smell it after 8 hours. Definitely 10/10!

My first Ex Nihilo and the only gourmand in their line if I'm correct. Beautiful scent, just purchased a bottle of this after smelling at BG this week. Cinnamon, sandalwood and tonka bean are missing from the list of notes. Lasts long on the skin. Very well blended and I think it will wear nicely in the warmer months which is not common for something with this scent profile!

Dates are a prominent note. I prefer Ramon Monegal Ole' because it's less sweet. This is a high quality unique fragrance. My friend Danielle The Olefactory Therapist owns a complete bottle, and we livestreamed how beautiful and unique this fragrance is. Light and airy when compared to Ole'.
