Jasmin Fauve

I have been wearing this a lot, and I absolutely love it. It’s my confident fragrance for when I’m in an excellent mood and want to feel like I’m on top of the world. Bold white flowers with an almost imperceptible base of ultra clean, smooth black leather and lots of musk. The leather is a bit suede-like too. Just gives you an aura that screams “I’m hot, and I know it!” The first time I applied it, leather was very obvious to me. I guess now I am used to it because I don’t really smell it, but if I were to smell other jasmine perfumes, then come back to this one, it would probably be obvious again. In any case, I reach for it frequently. It just makes me happy! It’s definitely one for the collection. On me it lasts all day.

I have a travel spray bottle from on Ex Nihilo set. I haven't worn it in ages. Since I didn't write a review when I first wore it, I can't recall if the longevity really is as poor as I perceive it to be, or if I'm just asomnic at this time. It poses a dilemma. I saw a decent price for a full bottle from a reputable source, and I'd love to purchase it, but since I don't know if I can actually smell it, I'm not willing to shell our the money. I've had the same issue with Sweet Morpine, only worse, but I've had good performance from both Fleur Narcotique and Iris Porcelana. Does anyone else have the same issue with Jasmine Fauvre, or Ex Nihilo in general? Drop me a PM. I'd love to hear about it!

i absolutely love this scent but there are two problems- 1) immediately after taking the bottle out of the box, the letters printed on the front of the bottle were moving around (as in it was never glued/printed correctly onto the glass) and 2) the scent disappears from my skin after the first hour. really disappointed as i love the scent when first sprayed onto the skin.

A sensual jasmine with depth. Definitely get the animalic/leather effect. I pass on most jasmine scents but this one is for me. It’s fairly linear with low sillage, but, that said, it smells irresistible on my skin. Makes me want to wear it for my special someone ;) Oh lord, someone help me, I want a full bottle...a shame it’s not available in Ex Nihilo’s travel format.

A pure, innocent, delicate perfume... A fresh and intoxicating jasmine begins, then slowly turns into an extraordinarily modern,unique perfume! really beautiful. Sillage: 7/10 Longevity: 7./10 Scent: 9./10 Overall: 9/10

ABSTRACT JASMIN! WILD JASMIN! MALE JASMIN! (almost an oxymoron, perhaps it is?) 'Fauve' would imply a specimen plant, not hybridized or in any way, shape or form unaltered original. But this jasmin is altered and manipulated in more ways than one for better or worse: If you generally dislike the slightly indolic (slightly fecal) note of natural jasmin, you might like this creation, as it borrows some shrieking punch from the tuberose (that I personally can only tolerate in moderation), and the dusty, slightly throat wrenching, choke provoking dryness of the lily. The cinnamon-dry-peppery-spicy note of a good dose of neroli, adds ooomph to this concoction, that really wants to be a male white floral (which let's face it is VERY hard to achieve). N/B My Stephanotis plant is currently in flower, it's a tropical jasmin with a funny "Bazooka" chewing gum note when the bud just burst open but on the following day it smells more peppery like this scent here. I understand what the perfumer/ nose tried to achieve here, is the unachievable: The male white floral. The aforementioned notes get additional manning up with a suede leather note and some amboroxan, that take the scent from a bit of shrieky floral in the beginning to a more sexy leathery skin scent. Sadly for me, this has a very low longevity and I fail to get any "animalic" note that possibly would make it a bit more durable and racey? Perhaps a reformulation with added civet and amberigis would do the trick? I wanted to love this but I can only justifiably "like" it, as it still cannot be the best male white floral that is J.P.G "Fleur du Mal". This one here is a good attempt of offering something new, but for me it has missed the mark. 6.5/10

Clean, sweet, and very "wet" floral. A little bit soapy but mostly just rich with ripe flowers, the jasmin and lily doing most of the heavy lifting. The leather and ambroxan is certainly there, but they aren't distinct and more serve to help melt the scent into your skin.

When it first start it reminded me of Jasmine from Aladdin the cartoon as i felt it was her essence, typically tender and soft with a sort of harshness but hidden somehow. As it calm down in few minutes it changes and goes wild jasmine with white floral, Maybe it's the lily or the gardenia but there is something white like a white sheer sheet covering that wild jasmines. After few minutes the jasmines struggles with the Lilly of the valley's appearance as it shows up with the help of a tiny gardenia and some sort of tuberose maybe but the rancidity of jasmine shows up and also share the struggle and turns the smell into a fight scene. I really wonder wither if you can mix the jasmines and lily of the valley together! both are quite strong and mostly both does ruin each other somehow, like this one in here, when you look at the notes you think it might go soft but unlikely it goes all the way around! I ended up with the rancidity of the jasmines. Edit (13 July 2026) 10 years later... i guess the sweet lily of the valley is the conquered note in here! it forms something like a dirty bubbles soap which makes it dense and grand no! it's like a clean indolic! too contradict. Not what i imagined.

The jasmine note is more noticeable when first spray, but after those first few minutes it is a straight up a clean lily of the valley with a really subtle hint of sweetness drafting by every now and then. I do get gentle leather as well. Like the majority of other scents from Ex Nihilo, it is linear and stays very close to the skin. I deem it full bottle worthy. I own two full sized from them so far, Iris Porcelana and Honoré Delights. Was not blown away by Fleur Narcotique or Lust in Paradise and Outcast Blue is too masculine for my taste.

Here's a very pretty Jasmine note that reminds me of the smell of a garden after a summer rainshower. It's very natural, transparent, combines some lily of the valkey and tuberose elements and dries down on skin with a soft suede effect. Summery sensuality ! It also avoids entirely that dirty/ indole note that jasmine notes can have. I think the perfumer has done justice to Jasmine with this charming creation and would love to wear it just about any day ....

It's a very beautiful white floral, a heady one where one can smell lily, jasmine and tuberose mostly. The final result translates to me as some other gardenia fragrances, slightly powdery, slightly soapy. Borderline retro-smelling. Yes, it does remind Narcotic V., but less "narcotic" and it also reminds me of a less tropical, less sun-tanned Lys 41. It's very well balanced, but I prefer the other fragrances mentioned. I don't smell the leather note.

I been looking for a feminine and light new fragrance and I stumbled upon this brand. They are new and different. I enjoyed the freshness this fragrances give me. I love the white lily and Tuberose mixed with Jasmin. I wear this in the office and get many compliments. Great transitional fragrance from night to day. Not overpowering but perfect. Highly suggest.

If God came to earth and presented us with His most precious Jasmine scent / Jasmine based scent..........it would be this. Ultra-female and sure is purty. A confident man CAN and WILL pull this off! Very expensive however. Thanks God.

-Sweet white floral scent. -Loving the sweetness, not so much the white floral bit. It's a tad generic. -There's a lovely buttery-ness to this scent. -I'm sure butter isn't a listed note. But that's what I'm picking up. (-)

This is a very clean muguet with a touch of lily and jasmine. I feel a herbaceous powderiness and a sharp smoky green in here. and a trace of leather. It is definitely unisex.
