Lust in Paradise Extrait

I’m a huge ex nihilo lover (it’s probably my all time favorite house), and I have (or have had) various versions of Lust in Paradise but this is my absolute favorite. As much as I love the original, it can come off a little bit sharp. The extrait has everything that the other versions is missing. I absolutely love the little bit of sweetness without being nauseating. I wore it last night to an outdoor party and got three compliments and I can still smell it on me this morning. I did have to over spray (about 25-30 sprays). I think this would be appropriate any time of year/day if you like florals. I’d also say this is different enough to own both, if you have the original. I have the original Fleur Narcotique and the Extrait and I can’t tell the difference between those, but that’s not the case with Lust in Paradise.

First and foremost, this is different enough from the EDP to justify having both. If Lust In Paradise is your all-weather, all occasions gorgeous fruity floral, the extrait is her amped up, sexy sister. The soft sweetness of peony in the EDP is cleverly dialled up here with rose and rosyfolia, then deepened and sweetened by jasmine and blackcurrant, while cedar wood gives some base to it all. The end result is a perfume that feels totally in line with the original, while also giving you something different that's not just "stronger" than the original, but *more*. I've taken to wearing the EDP during the day and the extrait at night when I'm going out for both, and I absolutely love how this punches things up before I head out again.

Omg these reviews! The Delina comparisons happen every time there’s a new rose scent. Not every rose fragrance is Delina!!! If you’re smelling rose and immediately assuming it’s Delina, chances are that’s simply the only sweet rose fragrance you’re truly familiar with. There are countless rose centered perfumes, each with its own character and composition. It might be time to broaden your olfactory palate a little. A rose accord ≠ Delina. In other news this is simply the best fragrance of 2026, imma have to come back to review this. I currently don’t have the words to describe how stunning this is. 100000/10!!

Louise Turner keeps teasing us with fragrances parallel to La Perla Possibilities and honestly, I’m not complaining. I love the sweet rose/woody/ambrofix DNA so Im here for it. The EDP has that airy, almost sheer quality which keeps it bright, slightly fruity, and effortlessly wearable in warmer weather. This extrait, by contrast, leans into depth. It has a denser, more substantial presence, with a richer woody dry down that gives it a more grounded, unisex feel. Where the EDP reads like a luminous summer floral, this version feels ultimately more at home in cooler weather. All in all, this is a win for me.

I love it. It's a 10/10. But I have to say; I prefer the EDP. It's more unique. The extrait leans alot into PDMs Delina profile. (I own Delina, Delina Exclusive, Lust in paradise EDP and In Paradise) The opening is like Lust in Paradise EDP...The mid is almost identical to Delina, then it finishes back to EDP. I didn't find any increase is sillage or longevity. The sillage might even be slightly less. The EDP is awesome in sillage. Like I said, this is a 10, but it has traded its uniqueness for Delina mass appeal. I'll be sticking to the EDP

Immediate FB purchase after decant testing... stunning, stunning, powerhouse of a fragrance. The rose notes really jump out on my skin and the base warms up sooo beautifully. Incredible sillage and longevity with just a few sprays and I have what I consider “challenging” skin chemistry (I am an oversprayer and have to hold back, 4 sprays max!). It’s dethroned Atomic Rose as my BF’s date night favorite, which I never thought would happen lol Expensive? Absolutely, but given all of its characteristics, worth the price tag.

If you like the original version, you will like this too. There is nothing to dislike about this. However, if you LOVE the original version like me, you might find the Extrait lacking in something. In my opinion, the creamy yet wonderfully fresh peony and sparkling, spacious litchi were all the magic, I find myself missing it in the Extrait. I loved that dewy freshness, here we get a more rounded, sweeter rose/currant vibe. I am enjoying it immensely either way, an absolutely beautiful perfume from Ex Nihilo.

ive had the og lust in paradise in a travel size. I like to layer it, but never loved it enough for it to stand on its own because there’s a slight pickle note I can’t get over when I smell it. this extrait fixed that issue. no more pickles, just straight juicy floral fruity bliss! I understand the delina comparison but to me this is everything delina wishes she was. I layered it with blue talisman extrait and cannot stop smelling myself. OOWEE ❤️🔥

I first smelled this a few weeks ago and thought yeah it’s nice but nothing special, better than the og for my taste. But I kept coming back to my sample again and again because it’s actually quite beautiful. It drew me in and the scent lingers for hours. Yes it’s rose forward but nothing like any of the Delinas. Just because it has rose doesn’t make it a Delina imitation, this feels much smoother and creamier and slightly musky and I love it

From the very first spray, I fell in love with this scent. I literally can't stop sniffing it. I'm not usually a fan of strong and sweet fragrances but this one is the exception! It's fruity, floral, and woody — rich without being overpowering, incredibly well-balanced. I've found that it smells best on skin, where you can really appreciate all its layers. From a distance, the sweetness stands out, but the other notes fade a bit.

Has to be my favorite of the Lust series... and I’ve had them all. It’s denser... less peony (thank goodness) and just overall feels more exotic, exciting, and sensual. The other flankers felt more commercial. In fact, I’d say many flankers from Ex Nihilo feel that way to me. But this... no... it’s yummy... smooth.. creamy... floral... fruity... dense and totally unique. Applause 👏 👏 .

I blind bought this. I’m a guy, and although I’m gay, I first thought it was way too feminine, at least on the test strip. But today I have it oh my skin and holy moly it’s SO good. Not overly feminine at all. It’s floral forward but not overpowering. To me it’s just a gorgeous fresh and floral scent. Will definitely be rocking this all spring and summer!

The best Ex Nihilo yet, yummy combination of rose, fruits and woody notes. It’s unique, yet could be labeled as mass appealing, but in the best way possible. To say im in love is an understatement, and I own a curated selection of some of the best niche perfumes out there. Better than the OG by far.

Everything I dreamed the EDP would be! If you like the EDP, this is stronger, juicier and contrary to the notes, not overly rosy. It stays true to the original DNA with everything amped up, especially the projection. It's not as airy in scent, and the performance reflects this

I absolutely fell in love with this. I love the tart berry effect. I got a sample from ZGO Perfumery and on the very next day, I had to have a full bottle. LOVE LOVE LOVE YES it is hyper effeminate. I am super good with that. AND it does NOT smell like Delina.

This smells much better and longer lasting than the original. The original has a sharp pepper smell that stays throughout, this has pepper but it's muted. The opening is sweeter and fruitier than the edp. The dry down is a fresh/ salt water/ floral smell.

This is so stunning and so French... I'm in LOVE. LOUISE!! You did it again. This is my first 10 minutes of smelling on skin, so I'll report back after a true test but WOW first impression is INSANE.

I see the comparisons to Delina, atomic Rose and Empadia but, I think Lust in Paradise Extrait is much more elevated. The rose is subtler and there is a warmth that those others don’t have.

light, spiky touch of sophisticated florals blended with blackcurrant leaf and airy evening haze. melts into the skin as powder, to my nose it feels like powdery veil on soapy rose

If I have to choose only one perfume for the rest of my life, I would choose this cause its so beautiful and long lasting even for just a one spray

It's leans feminine. Still one of the most addicted scents I've ever had. This is great, the extrait is better than the OG.

Lust in Paradise og 50% and existence (amouage) in the dry down without the Frankincense

The best ! Wow ..... how sweet it is!

First Impressions: As someone who found the original LiP to be overly dense and powdery, the Extrait version is infinitely better! This is everything the og should have been: light, fresh, airy and smooth. The ginger and black currant opening is sparkly and fruity with a very ‘pink’ type of fresh rose. The petalia has been significantly toned down in this. There is a touch of powderiness in the mid, but it’s not cloying or overwhelming. The dry down is clean and woody. I usually have issues with patchouli/akigala wood, but the akigala here doesn’t pull sour or metallic. In fact, I would say the ambrofix and akigala wood are barely noticeable until around 7-9 hours when they’re the only notes left. It’s beautiful and easily signature scent worthy. I already own several bottles with this scent profile so this isn’t a ‘must have’ for me at the moment. However, I’ll probably pick it up at some point. To me, LiP Extrait isn’t a ‘statement rose’ like Delina and Impadia. I would categorize this more in the ‘clean rose’ family with scents like Eladaria, Attrape Reves and Chloe- No, I’m not saying they smell alike. I can understand the reference to Possibilities, but this is softer and less powdery. This is a very enjoyable scent profile and LiP Extrait is a gorgeous interpretation of it, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before.

I received a sample of this perfume. Whenever I receive a sample, I like to try it blind before really exploring the notes. On first wear, I really smelled heavy ambroxan and florals, and that was about it. I quite liked it because I love ambroxan notes. I was surprised to see rose featured so prominently in the notes because it is one of my least favorite notes. Trying it again, I could pick out the rose a bit, but to me, this is not a super rose-forward scent. I truly just get that heavy ambroxan/woody base with light rose on the top. I quite enjoyed trying this perfume, however, I would never pay full price for a bottle. I did get a compliment at the doctor's office on this scent. However, I believe this perfume made my eczema flare up - I was complaining to my husband about that, and he said: "It's probably that horrible perfume you've been wearing this week, I don't know what it is, but it really stinks and the whole house smells like it." So, I wouldn't necessarily consider this perfume to be a polarizing scent profile, but maybe it is? It does have great longevity and based on the compliment/criticism large sillage.

There is this small, but nevertheless famous Gallic village, home of the ,,Indomitable Gauls“ called...Givaudan where the great Miraculix (also known as Quentin Bisch, master creator of Delina, Guidance, G46 etc) just brewed a fresh batch of his rose-akigalawood magic potion and every one of the ,,villagers“ (also known as perfumers) got their portion... Jordi Fernandez mixed his with some pear, citruses, vanilla and...here we have the magic Impadia. Louise Turner mixed hers with some blackcurrant, ginger, jasmin and ambroxan and... Lust in Paradise the extrait was born. We are all happy, because the fruity-floral mix is very pleasant, the magic potion gives it a good projection and great longevity and it is of course crowd pleasing. We are reminded of Delina, Impadia, some on Parfumo even of Guidance and we wonder why... The great master smiles silently because he is the only who knows the secret recipe while preparing another batch... and we wait with bated breath

This definitely smells in the realm of Delina without smelling exact like it but the similarities are there for sure but it’s not a dupe by any means. I actually think this is better than Delina. This is a denser and creamier version and while I do like it, I think it’s a little over hyped. Maybe that’s just my thoughts as it feels a bit uninspired of a fragrance. Idk. I have mixed feelings on it. It’s pretty but I don’t like it enough at this point to buy a full bottle of it. The performance is good. What I don’t like about is I get a lot of akigalawood and that note is a tad bothersome for me. It’s sharp and abrasive rather than smooth and reminds me of hairspray. I actually think that’s what’s keeping me from loving it, it’s not as smooth as I’d like it to be. I wish that note wasn’t in there. I’ll revisit it to see if my opinion has changed but either way it is nice but for now I’m happy with my decant of it rather than a FB.

I brought this hoping to scratch the LIP EDP itch - I love it however the longevity and sillage is extremely poor on my skin so I thought the extrait would fix that. Firstly, the extrait is similar and different at the same time. It definitely has the same DNA but way deeper and grown up - actually very nice but loses the airiness of the original. Sadly I am disappointed with the sillage / longevity. On a cooler day it lasts on the skin pretty well around 8 hours, but on hot days i’ve had it fade away after 4 hours. Projection is there for first 2-3 hours then fades into a skin scent for me and this is with around 8 sprays! Definitely not beast mode for me as I was expective great sillage and longevity with minimal sprays. Maybe I need to let it macerate, but still a beautiful scent

Really gorgeous, fruity rose 🌹 It’s jammy and juicy. Has a slight shampoo quality to it which leans more fresh rather than juvenile and bubbly. Smells very similar to Delina La Rosee and there are a lot of perfumes out there with this similar dna.

Beautiful and similar to the OG but I prefer the lightness and aquatic spin of the OG over this one. However if that’s not for you and you enjoy the scent profile I would highly recommend checking this one out!

It’s a very pretty fragrance, with a really delicious dry down. It’s not something that immediately impresses, but it grows on you the more you wear it

Super expensive but like a darker delina, very sexy and sensual scent but not obnoxious for it's strength

The extrait version is more fruity. It has a sticky sweetness, just like a peach.

I agree with a lot of the reviewers. It smells similar to Delina but better, but does not last.

@peachpetals Pleass stop..i grew up with rose bushes in my garden. Delina's rose is a synthetic rose, it does not smell like a realistic rose flower. Becuase it is synthetic, they tend to all smell the same. And that is what you get here, a synthetic rose. Also, Louis Turner is from Givaudan and so is Quentin Bisch. There is a VERY high chance the exact same synthetic rose raw material is used here. If you don't think this smells like Delina's rose, i urge you to go get your nose checked, as it might be burned by middle eastern cheapies. Not every rose scent has comparison with Delina, go see Guerlain's Shalimar Rose or their Rose Centifolia Extrait. Perhaps YOU should go expand your oflactory palate just a tad. I am tired of these brainless rambling! But this is how the perfume industry is nowadays...it is no longer about the art and creativity. It's about "Lets prey on naive people like and make the same thing over and over again and make bank (laughing all the way)".

If Delina was infused with tea and hairspray....for me it is better and less harsh than Delina

This is bad. Like a sharp nasty floral. Definitely get that heinous akigalwood which is also in delina exclusif. I hope they stop using that. It’s awful. I’m beyond disappointed they hype for this was next level and it’s not even kind of nice

Too strong and linear, smells like Dewberry perfume oil from the body shop in 1990 and though its nostalgic for that reason, it’s just too much

Gosh, this is smooth. Just tried the new release and I’m already wearing it with a Cheshire Cat smile. What I love most is that all the sharp edges of the original are gone. It generally does sit in that “sour rose / lychee” trend (hello Delina, Kayali and Fleur de Peoni), but this one feels much more polished and “out of teenage zone”. Softer, more feminine, not shouting for attention. There’s a modern twist in there (you can’t miss the Akigalawood), and if there’s ambroxan, it’s handled beautifully:no scratchy throat, no overload, just sitting low in the background where it belongs. As for longevity: it’s Ex Nihilo, we all know that no worries there. What I really appreciate is the drydown: it doesn’t turn into that musky lollipop situation. Instead, it settles into a soft, airy fruity floral cloud. Really like it. Got myself a decent vial and I’m already enjoying it “intelligent flirtatiousness”. 👍 indeed: all the intellectually overloaded individuals - move in here 😁 have some fun !

I don’t know how to feel... hmmm Not like OG I get more of a mix of lust in paradise+oud maracuja (softest take on it)+spiky muse by ex nihilo. You smell the stem of the rose, it’s aromatic, with a dominant blackcurrant(which smells like passionfruit to me-sour), with a slight feel of middle eastern fragrances with that ambery musky ambroxan/fresh oud base... compared to OG where it’s peppery fresh musky fruity floral. I find this would suit a man more. OG is more feminine and sensual to me. If you love the original lust in Paradise which is one of my signatures, I would stick with that one. I thought this would be similar to possibilities that Louise created , the notes look so similar but the OG is more of that vibe if anything.

I got a deluxe sample of Lust in Paradise Extrait after buying a bottle of the Hedonist Extrait at a boutique, around 2 weeks ago. Have been completely obsessed with Lust since; it's an insane, hypnotic scent, and I layer it on top of Hedonist to sweeten it up a bit. Have been showered with compliments from strangers at clubs, going so far as to ask me to send them a photo of the bottle. If you like rich, dense, seductive musky scents with a hint of rosy sweetness, you should absolutely blind buy this.

As someone who wore Delina on her wedding day and has owned all of her dupes, I can confidently say that this does NOT smell like Delina to my nose. I also own the original Lust in Paradise. Compared to the OG, the extrait is much more rosey and creamy and a lot less clean-laundry musky. It is an extrait so it projects more moderately than the OG but I am not mad at the moderate scent bubble this provides. Probably will be updating my sample to a full bottle!

The comments here are so fun to read. Everyone smells something different. To me, that's amazing. I love it. I do smell the rose and that doesn't make it Delina! It makes it nice. I love this and the EDP and happen to have both. Please give this a chance and don't write it off as another rose fragrance! It's very nice but also complex and not as single gear so to speak as Delina, IMO. Delina is also very nice but this is not Delina to my nose.

Lust in Paradise Extrait has that super contemporary niche vibe thanks to the ambrosia, petalia and akigalawood. I don’t think this necessarily smells like Delina but it has that same youthful, slightly punchy pink rose and I swear there’s an aquatic lychee although it’s not listed. It’s creamier than the OG. This just isn’t my scent profile at all. This fragrance is not worth the hype for me, but I can see it being a compliment magnet.

I created a fragrantica account just to confirm everything LV4216 (comment below me) is saying. Lust in paradise extrait is such a beautiful scent. I lost my breath when smelling it, I genuinely wasn’t prepared. Like LV4216 said it’s not a statement rose but a clean signature scent rose. I own attrape reves so I have the clean rose lane covered but I can’t help but appreciate the beauty of lust in paradise extrait.

Sampling. At first sniff, I am reminded of wulong cha x by Nishane and Delina by PDM . To me, its very similar vibe but more femme and tame down version of WCX. Best way to describe this is if Wulong Cha X and Delina had a daughter in her twenties. I shall call her Wulong Lina. I think this is a sexy scent and more so on a woman than man.

Ngl, I’m a dude. And I’d 100% rock this, this is by far the best juicy sweet rose scent ever. Something about this is really addicting, it may lean more feminine but guys can definitely wear this masterpiece. It reminds me of that lychee rosey scent from Delina, the juicyness and the sweetness of it. Delina but on steriods

God tier vacation scent. Projection is nuclear. Longevity is generational. Such a good fruity floral though. Resinous, buxom, full bodied and fecund. Top shelf Cuban rum in your daiquiri. Butter pecan tan on the lido deck, no tan lines. Drunk in love and feeling pretty, like if we all just stayed in 2016 forever.
