Lust In Paradise par Reine Paradis

I was on the hunt for my dream version of a sweet feminine fragrance. The fruity floral notes are pulled more neutral by the pink pepper and wood notes. It has sweetness and tropical vibes to me that make it fun without becoming sickly. What I love most is the fragrance stays virtually the same all day instead of settling into a powdery, musky or vanilla flatness like most do for me. Comparing to the original lust in paradise, this is much longer lasting, fresher and tropical. I find the original is much heavier on the rose and powdery notes.

This is reallllly good. A unique freshy that incorporates tropical notes like litchi & solar qualities. I see the similarities to Delina La Rosee but this is so much more special.

The idea of this scent intrigued me and because I couldn’t find a sample anywhere on the internet I dove deep into an expensive blind buy. The OG Lust in Paradise is a top 5 for me so I had good reason to feel this would work for me. An analogy comes to mind from the movie Ten Things I Hate About You, “I like my Sketchers, but I love my Prada Backpack”, “I like Par Reine Paradis, but I love the OG Lust in Paradise”. To further extend my 90s movie references— in The Parent Trap terms if Lust in Paradise OG is Annie James, Par Reine Paradis is Hallie Parker. She is the California sun, camping in the woods, more fresh, less overtly feminine and refined version of the same DNA I love. Since we are heading into June and the OG is a daily driver I will report back on how Par Reine Paradis delivers in comparison during the hottest parts of the year.

Lightly powdery pink florals, supported by solar notes. Tropical unidentifiable fruit. Slightly peppery, but no where near as pungent as Liquides Imaginaires Fleur de Sable (that one is too peppery for me, and it's a much more "niche" version of this fragrance). Reminds me a bit of a scent one might find in an expensive, luxurious powdered blush or bronzer. Beautiful, but ultimately a little designer-y: not a completely unique fragrance, but fabulously executed. It 100% gives me Clinique Happy vibes, like they're distant cousins, but have the same energy and personality and like to hang out together.

Awesome marine floral fragrance that projects really well, definitely an undertone of amber that keeps it interesting and I'd say while this is unisex it is more feminine leaning.

Splurged on a bottle and so glad I did! I had an original Byredo Reine de la Nuit extrait from waaaaay back and sold it, then regretted it. This reminds me of that but this is BETTER. Or in my state of shock at spending so much money on this, I think this is better. Either way. This over MFK Petit Matin Absolue - nom nom nom
