But there ́s one substantial difference - Green Irish Tweed seems to be natural & inspired by nature, Viper Green is like a polished piece of green glass, bright & clear - or maybe like a slightly poisonous potion. It opens with fresh & sour green mandarin juice that slowly turns into sweetly herbal angelica extract with seductive jasmine accent - and this is the beating heart of this scent /and I like it A LOT/. The drydown is dusty & sweetly resinous. Viper Green is undeniably wild & seductive scent - I ́m afraid it ́s going to be number one on my short wish list. @Scentual has posted the full notes breakdown from Ex Nihilo's website down below, there's a lot more to Viper Green than Fragrantica has bothered to add to the database! this is gorgeous and i am a complete fan. there's a beautiful, fresh, green citric opening above a whole field of ripe, sparkling florals. it's heavy and narcotic to me, and there's a hint of a smell of starchy, 'sunkissed' (aka slightly sunburnt) skin in there; this may sound offputting but it really fits the rest of the fragrance well. underneath the vetiver and patchouli keep it green and uplifting throughout the entire wear - and it lasts for a long time with pretty strong projection too! to me, this smells like an open field of flowers on a hot summer's day. high summer, no worries. it smells like all the beautiful parts of the british countryside and makes me feel at home, and happy. 9/10

I've found that with testing fragrances, first impressions can count for a lot. I first encountered Viper Green at a niche fragrance store in Lisbon. It was early spring, and the orange blossoms were filling the streets with their sweet aroma. Viper Green felt like an extension of this. With the most beautiful, evocative, fresh green openings of any fragrance I've tested, it was a yes for me before the alcohol had time to evaporate. Despite it's weaker-than-average longevity and intimate silage, I bought a bottle. I'm now pairing it with Guerlain's Mandarine Basilic Forte which provides a stable base for this vivid green, yet underperforming perfume.

This is P E R F E C T ✨ I agree with the comparison to Chanel n19 Poudre but it’s only a shared “likeness” due to the galbanum. This is its own creation and soooo lovely. Crisp and clean but subdued/airy, natural but refined. My ideal scent profile. It’s slightly vegetal but in the most austere presentation. A freshly cut stem in ice cold water with powdery blossoms dusting the counter as you shift the stems of a floral arrangement. I have yet to thoroughly test the longevity but get the sense this is a 4-6 hour lifespan, maybe longer when sprayed onto clothes or layered.

Viper Green is a gorgeous green floral scent without being too green or too floral which makes it a centered perfect balance just like the way the colour green is the balance or middle of the rainbow. I would wear Viper Green during spring time as it is just perfect for spring coming into bloom. Definitely try this on skin and wait for the dry down. One of my favorite notes is here, upfront and it never dissipates: angelica.....oh ....I love it. I also pick up mandarin, but It burns out quickly which is what I expect from a citrus accord. In the middle the florals come out: rose and either jasmine or iris. A high quality vetiver plays throughout the base. I can't pick up the patch (other sites list this note) but it might be the note that makes the base stick. This is a laundry-fresh scent, it has some power behind it. VP projects softly during the first hour. Enthusiastic yes from me.

I have a large collection of niche (about 100 bottles) and this is my favorite green scent. I get whiffs of it all day long, and am complimented on it which means there is a good sillage. It is a gorgeous, crisp summer floral that matches the name and juice color. I don’t agree at all with the folks who say it is “generic”, “weak”, “boring”. For me, it’s exactly what it purports to be. And for those who say it doesn’t last, I think they’ve gone anosmic to it, or simply aren’t spraying enough.

The first perfume from this house that I have really liked. A unique green floral musk, this is an extremely pretty scent. It opens with a citrusy notes, proceeds to a firmly green heart of galbanum and grassy notes and settles on a base of vetiver and synthetic musk. Unisex with moderate to strong projection and excellent longevity. Suited for warm weather and refreshing without being cloying. Enjoy!

This perfume is to die for! If you are a lover of Green Irish Tweed on men and are looking for a feminine comparison, go no further than this beauty. Some of my favourite notes in perfume are iris, Angelica, and Vetiver. Lucky for me, this perfume has all of those!! (Although fragrantica hasn’t included all of the notes yet). If you like fresh/herbal/earthy smells, give this a try!!

Whenthesunhits summed it up perfectly. This Viper doesn't bite, and I am delighted. Green? Yes. On the soft side? Definitely. Would I spend this month's grocery money on a full bottle? I'd sell my soul if I needed to.

It's cold and green at first—ideal for summer. If you want that flower shop vibe (gives me pure carnation freshness) this is it.

I love viper green, love ex nihilo

Viper Green is brilliantly named! The overall impression of this perfume is very much like the glorious snake itself; deceptively cool and soft, slithering between green and earth. Opening looks fresh, green, citric, and unisex. But just like the viper, I got too close and it showed me its teeth. There appeared a heart of sharp galbanum, backed by a powdery note that balanced it as an element of silkiness in the background. The composition feels high quality, well-blended, and unique. The sillage was at an arm’s length and, despite the effervescent notes, never cloying or obtrusive. But I stayed with this snake for too long and, of course, it finally bit me! The vetiver and other earthy notes ambushed the delicate green phase and finished me off. As a lover of feminine-leaning notes, I could not see myself wearing it. I do, however, recommend it for lovers of aromatic unisex/masculine perfumes. This is a green masterpiece!

Viper Green evoked vivid associations with the green and aquatic fragrances of the 1990s and early 2000s. It reminded me of Balenciaga Talisman Transparente and the Kenzo Les Eaux De Fleur series (especially the variants with Tea, Yuzu, and Magnolia). It’s the freshness of a floral bouquet on a noble green base, and it has excellent longevity — both the top notes and the base notes linger pleasantly for a long time. The fragrance feels more luxurious than niche (though, for me, Fleur Narcotique and Lust in Paradise aren’t niche either — and that’s a good thing. Well‐crafted luxury scents are not easy to come by). For me, this is a nostalgic fragrance, yet reinterpreted in a modern way. Overall, Ex Nihilo has many interesting compositions, and Viper Green is definitely one to try for fans of green, fresh scents.

All of you people expecting a kick-ass green fragrance a la Vent Vert, Eau de Lierre or Corsica Furiosa: don’t hold your breath.....Viper Green does not live up to its name. It is not very green and most certainly not venomous and turns out to be a very pretty, girly jasmine soliflore with some green and citrus notes around its edges. The result, I must admit, is gorgeous, if jasmine's your thing. I agree it is overpriced. There are some great jasmine soliflores out there that are just as good and cost much, much less (Drama Nuui and Madagascan Jasmine f.i.) and as for green you should definately look elsewhere.

*holding up bullhorn* THIS SMELLS EXACTLY LIKE GALE HAYMAN DELICIOUS. It's a flowery gourmand, with a lovely sweetsoft musk on the dry down and fantastic sillage. When I sprayed it, I screamed and giggled it was so uncanny, since I miss my mom, and it's her signature fragrance. To verify, I had my friends and family do a blind sniff test. It's 100% a dupe. If you love this, go to eBay and snag a bottle of the original Delicious. EXACT same scent - no weird synthetic anything - and only $12, tops. It's the definition of cheap + chic!

I was a bit sad, with Viper in the name, I expected more bite. I like it, but I wanted more green. The lily of the valley is quite prominent. I recently got interested in green fragrances after buying Chypre Mousse and Green Spell. Viper Green is 75% floral and 25% green. High quality, going to appeal to lots of people.

This is like sticking your nose into luscious grass, freshly cut and wet. But behind it is this intoxicating pull and you keep smelling it. I just don’t know when I would ever wear this, other than for aromatherapy. Definitely unisex.

The start is amazing – green, green, green. A little bitter but mostly fresh. As it wears on the skin it gets earthier over the first few hours. After staying earthy for the first few hours, I had hope that the powdery/floral repots weren’t going to be so present on my skin, but at about five hours in it got VERY powdery which I didn’t like. If something was needed to add for greater longevity to this perfume, I wish the creators would have gone with something more woody. Longevity and silage are insane for me. It lasted through a full workday and my evening cardio heavy workout. At the start of the day, anyone in my office with me could probably smell this perfume. Then, after a good half day, it became more intimate until I started sweating during my workout and it bloomed again. If Viper Green hadn’t gone so powdery midway through the day, I would say this would be my GOAT green fragrance. As it is, the floral/powdery notes don’t make the opening worth it for me. The price for a full bottle is way overpriced as well. I wouldn’t go buying a full bottle unless a sample turns out to be the best perfume you’ve ever tried.

With a name like Viper Green i was expecting something cool like perhaps a greener version of SHL Mortal Skin. Or maybe greem geranium incense bomb like Bvlgari Kobraa. But instead of a Viper, this is a Garter Snake. It starts off like shampoo. I picture one of those 90's Garnier commercials with a woman running her fingers through her hair with rain drops coming down in a rainforest. I like the transition in the mid to the galbanum and angelica. The drydown smells like something in the Neroli Portofino ballpark. Reminds me of the drydown of Floraïku First Dream of The Year but a lighter, slightly soapier version. No bad, but not impressive either, and I don't like the opening at all. ------------------------------------------------------ Scent 55/100 Performance 75/100

The perfume opens with a citrusy, soapy freshness, but quickly transitions into rather cliché lily-white floral notes after just five minutes. It reminds me of how my aunt used to smell when I was a child. Overall, there’s nothing particularly special about this scent. Given its lackluster longevity and character, I’d say it’s quite overpriced.

Herbal lime blast up top, clean and green. Natural but perhaps not as sparkling or realistic as that found in the likes of Altelier Cologne - but this one is more about the green than the citrus of course. From first impression I notice something bitter about this, like slightly rotting vegetation. Not entirely pleasing to my nose. Nothing here particularly draws me in and there is a strange note to me here, perhaps galbanum which seems to put me off. Not entirely into this though it does smell of medium to high quality. Seems ok for the price, though not groundbreaking for me from first impressions. Now I’m going climb back in my box and stick with my vetivers to get my green fix!!

I bought this perfume based solely on the Perfume Pyramid on this page, and it turned out to be a total disaster. I normally don’t like jasmine, and as soon as I sprayed it, a strong jasmine scent hit me — and it lingered all the way through the drydown. If you blindly purchase this perfume just by its name or by looking at the Perfume Pyramid on this page, there's a high chance you'll be disappointed like I was. Rather than a green scent, it leans heavily toward a white floral fragrance centered around jasmine — and to make matters worse, the drydown becomes extremely powdery.

I get an impression of lavatory green soap and sweat (not B.O., just sweat). After many hours or into the next morning, the later drydown is now almost OK. Totally unisex. I don't understand the hype on this one.

Opens with a beautiful fresh, green notes. Reminds me of grass and the outdoors. Then it dries down to a weird plastic notes. Not for me.

Men: Avoid this. This is a pale green floral in pastel hues reminiscent of a dewy green garden on a spring morning. It smells like a women's perfume. Comparisons to Green Irish Tweed should stop at the word "Green." There's a faint mandarin note in the beginning, followed by soft, pale florals (rose? jasmine?) and the emergence of a very green galbanum. The galbanum accord is interesting; it's bitterly verdant and also kind of oddly sweet. This note is strongest in the second half of Viper's development and it's my favorite aspect of the composition. I'm not familiar with a lot of female perfumes, so judging this one from that perspective is impossible for me to do. However, as a man, this is not something I enjoyed wearing at all. There were also times when it reminded me of Glade air freshener (the kind you keep in a spray can next to the toilet). So I wouldn't even say that this feels worth the price, regardless of your gender. It's not bad, but quality wise there isn't much about it that really stands out. I found Ex-Nihilo's Fleur Narcotique a much more satisfying floral (that men could pull off well). Since I just gave it a brief wearing one day, and I really think it's meant for women, I'm going to hold off on a numerical rating, and just say that for me, it gets a thumbs down. Side note: While I'm able to articulate fragrances with some vocabulary and jargon related to the field, sometimes it's best to trust those who can't: The other day I sprayed some Viper Green on my arm while my wife was out running errands. The minute she arrived home and stepped through the door she exclaimed loudly, "Uggh! No! Grandma's Underwear Drawer!" Sometimes a succinct comment like this is all you need to know whether a fragrance is for you or not. In my case, Viper Green certainly isn't.

Viper Green! Spectacular name! It sounds wicked, and this scent is galbanum running wild! Galbanum isn't one of my favorite notes, but I really like it in this. Leans towards its organic nature, and plays down its bitter edge. The specific essence Ex Nihilo uses is herbal and contemporary. Angelica adds to the wild weed effect. Along with vetiver, it smells like a grassy uncivilized meadow spiked with thorny-thistly plants. It somewhat reminds me of vintage Vent Vert, one of the first to showcase galbanum, oakmoss and citrus to advantage. The floral accord is heavy, maybe from the Rosyfolia, a synth that is something like a cross between rose and green lily of the valley (echoing Vent Vert's use of both flowers). Add jasmine, and this is what you would imagine coming from a prickly poisonous flower. I read the reviews after writing my own, and thought it was interesting that they were so mixed. And that another reviewer thought of Vent Vert in connection with VG, although dismissing the similiarities. To me, galbanum is a difficult note in perfume. I hope to acquire the taste for it's piercing bite, one of the most singular effects in all perfume. True galbanum lovers might be missing its unadulterated acerbic quality, a disappointment in blunting the razor edge sharpness for which it's known. I like the treatment in this composition though, b/c it does emphasize a green vegetal facet, and tones down the bitterness. The bite here is like milking a snake for venom vs. being bitten. Dangerous, but not deadly. On my skin, it accentuates the green, bringing out a different feature not truncating the note. Like the vivid Erin Hansen/Poppies on Green wildflower landscape, both painting and perfume done in a modern expressionistic style. Sillage and longevity good.

Make no mistake -- this is a beautiful composition. It's just not what I was expecting! I *was* expecting a green scent with a smooth, dangerous bite (as the name suggests). It definitely delivers on my "green" and "smooth" expectations. The bright citrus opening is like walking through a sun-dapple before gliding into the shade, then it quickly mellows into a fresh, velvety herbal. Very well-blended and wearable, with no sharp edges. Projection is moderate in the first hour, and it's still detectable on my skin 8 hours later (pretty unusual for a green scent). It's quite linear to my nose, although it dries down to be just a *little* sweeter than before, with a hint of powder. Linear is not necessarily a dealbreaker for me when the scent is so lovely! What it did not deliver on was the dangerous, poisonous, unusual element. I wouldn't call it "usual" by any stretch! But "viper" is a pretty loaded word, and I admit I was excited to try a green composition that sinks its teeth in deep and unleashes an intoxicating, unnerving venom. Instead, I find the scent very comforting and fresh; nothing risky or perilous here at all. If anything, it's like falling face first into a load of fresh towels just removed from the dryer. I definitely enjoy that sensation, but I just wanted something a little more...unsafe. I wanted to be shocked by a large set of fangs before dying in slow agony, damn! But hey, I'll take the warm towel hug; meanwhile, the search for a bone-chilling herbal toxin continues. This is a wonderful scent, though, and if the above sounds like your cuppa, I definitely recommend it.

Because LuckyScent has included this in their Top 5 Men's Summer picks, I must also emphasize @Buysblind's review. Viper Green is a unisex leaning femme fragrance at best, but maybe some men can pull this off better than I. I'm certainly not about masc scents, but I also can't stand powder, which I get a good dose of here. I'd call this one a clean white floral with green notes. I get lots of the jasmine, a little angelica. It's not at all what I had hoped for—no vicious herbal greenery to be found here. I don't dislike it, but it's not for me. Having sampled this and Cologne 352, I'm pretty ~meh~ on the Ex Nihilo offerings. They're very even; almost too pretty, too clean. Too expensive, too.

Wearing this today from a sample. Certainly nothing poisonous in this one, but it's a really pleasant laundry fresh scent. It smells like that 'fresh linen' laundry detergent, except more 'green' leaning, like it has a bit of the juice from some crushed bitter plant stems. This could easily be considered unisex. Nothing like Green Irish Tweed (I've seen it mentioned earlier). Fans of Eau de New York from Bond would probably enjoy this one. Just imagine the neroli replaced with more of a bitter green aspect

The name suites the fragrance very well. You get a airy and whispy green fragrance that seems to have movement and a life of it's own. It is quality, understated and a easy to love green fragrance. Nothing earthy,evergreen,or dark here. I am not sure if I ever wanted a summer green fragrance, but here it is and well done. I have mugler cologne for most occasions this would ever fit. I recommend a sniff, could be signature scent worthy fair projection and 5 hours longevity, lasts on clothes

Fresh cut stems! It's like walking into your favorite flower shop early in the morning as they get ready to set their bouquets out for the day. Fresh. clean, green with an undertone mixture of rose and white florals. I wish that initial blast of green had better projection and longevity. The powdery floral does last several hours tho.

I love this it’s so fresh and green the freshest clean scent when I spray this in everyone in my house says they smell me the best fragrance for summer you’ll smell like the cleanest person in the room like the freshest musky laundry the dry down is a musky floral I love all party’s of this scent

Like the reviewer noted above regarding green lavatory soap, I get an image of fragranced paper goods from a supermarket or a chemical "fresh" smell soaked into scented toiletries or plastic goods. If you like febreze-type products, this might be for you. It's not for me.

Fresh and pretty. This has just a little galbanum and vetiver, most of the scent is supported by fresh notes of citrus and a very light jasmine and rose. It feels like nice herbal shampoo. Very nice and refreshing. It is very similar to Dior's Lucky. Nice.

It gives a lot of Lilly of the valley on skin. Which is okay, but after an hour it starts to stink as the freur narcotique dry down. Which is unwashable away. Had big expectation abt this one, thought I would finally find something decent in this brand.

-Fresh, spicy green scent. -Dries down to become your run-of-the mill clean white floral. -Interesting development, but opening and dry-down taken separately...this is overall a nondescript fragrance unworthy of niche prices. (-)

Doesn’t get any greener than this and I love it. Crushed springtime greenery. Reminds me of my beloved Chanel Number 19 but packs more of a punch. Absolutely delightful. Full bottle purchased and zero regret.

The opening is so great and so deserving of the name. So green and biting and fresh in the best way. Unfortunately it lasts a tragically short amount of time and just turns into a generic white floral.
