Florilegium

a beautiful, magnificent ode to tuberose! the tuberose in Florilegium is full bodied and multifaceted: bubblegummy, mentholated, creamy, indolic, animalic and intensely narcotic. it feels deeply sensual and carnal, and the indole is amplified by the civet, which is not overwhelming but noticeable throughout. the tuberose is covered in honey and embedded in resins, but is the clear star from start to finish. the honey/propolis/beeswax extract shows an evolution of its own: from a slightly acidic, sweet, golden nectar with boozy rum accents in the opening to a sticky, resinous heart, into a waxy, leathery-medicinal base, in synergy with subtle Chinese oud and prominent frankincense. The fragrance is incredibly natural and the quality of the ingredients is unmistakable. Florilegium is a tuberose fragrance unlike any other, with a distinguished character, and yet a showcase of its natural attributes. A treasure, especially for fans of animalic florals.

Florilegium is a narcotic garden, a floral that opens its mouth and blows an opium scent at you: dense, dark, intoxicating, almost a ritual smoke. Among the tuberoses moves a hidden fauna: small warm animals, silent predators leaving a humid, feral trail behind. The flowers are saturated, feverish, as if soaked in vegetal drugs—not just synthetic ones, but the raw resins of plants that stun and slow the breath. The sharp note is a mouth: a cavity that inhales and exhales, moist, alive, deeply carnal. It’s a murderous, visionary floral that doesn’t perfume but intoxicates: an ecosystem where flower and animal drug each other.
