L'Original

The first minutes of this scent bring back memories of the 80' and 90' mens colognes availible in my country (Poland), clunky, overly manly to almost aggressive, wood and citrus generic...A smell that every uncle and adult cousin used to use regardless of time of the day, season or occasion, a scent that somehow made them all seem over 65. So the first time i tested L'Original I was dissapoined, almost dejected. The scent seemed overly formal, stiff and boring. Fortunately after 15 minutes or so it started to develop and seemed more and more playfull though still a little oldtimey. After an hour it gives a more relaxed vibes, although in a dressed up/ grown up kind of way- like being at a garden party but in a linen suit, straw hat.. a tongue in cheek kind of way. I like it very much now, but I presume I smell to others exactly like my uncles in the 90' smelled to me.

I absolutely love this scent! Reminds me of “At the Barber’s” by MM. That’s the scent that sent me on a journey to find a classic, barbershop vibe at a better price and this one is so good. Obviously, there are differences and if I could justify the MM bottle I would certainly purchase it but I picked up this bottle for $25 and it fills that barbershop need. Much more linear but very well blended. Smells like rich old guys with f-you money. They have no one to impress, they just want to smell like a damn man! Spicy, soapy and fresh! MANLY! Cannot wait for summer... I think this one is gonna shine in the Texas heat. Based purely on the scent I’d give it a 8/10. Add the price point to the discussion and it’s a 10/10 banger. It’s EDT so it doesn’t have the projection or longevity of some but it last every bit as long as “At the Barber’s”. Great blind buy!

I am shocked how many people are oblivious to this fragrance. It's an aromatic fougere, with a refreshing blast of citrus and peppermint in the opening. Definitely a spring to summer frag, perfect for outdoor activites, but also office safe. Classy at that too. That's the best cheapie I've ever smelled, and with superb design, it's only 18 USD where I live. The bottle is heavy and with frosted glass, the cap design is also great, it's very sturdy. The bottle size is a bit weird (90ml / 3 fl.oz), not something you see often.

A barbershop-type scent that leans sweet but not cloyingly. Good performance and reasonably priced. While released in 2021, it smells classic. Nothing super special but worth a blind buy, which is what I did.

A great aromatic green fougere, timeless masculin composition heavy on rosemary and nutmeg. Longevity and sillage are both moderate. One of the best price/performance fragrances out there.

To me, the overall scent is intensive and bit aggressive. When I sampled it the first time, I love the sweet smell from geranium and the base woody notes. However, in the second sampling experience, I find the mint so dominant that I can hardly find geranium. So maybe it is suitable for someone who loves strong scents.

Another reissue of a magnificent perfume from the 90s, more specifically, 1994. Those good and unforgettable times. This perfume is excellent, fresh and cheerful, with some similarities to the also fantastic Booster from Lacoste. For those who like these fragrances that bring us unforgettable memories of the best decade ever, I suggest you start buying and stock up, because they are becoming hard to find and some are already discontinued in the market.

It's a pleasant scent,like for grab and go easy situation.Old school feel with creamy and citrus touches that dominate the scent,in the drydown u get some green herbs and the florals pop more.very good for outside activities as somebody said in the reviews.the only issue is performance,which for me I don't mind it cus 4-5 hours more than enough for an activity

Looking at the notes, looking at the name, my guess is this is a reformulated, repackaged, remarketed version of the 1994 Faconnable by Faconnable original. Which I have.

It is similar to monotheme perfume, I can't say I like it very much, it is cheap so you can buy it, the choice is yours
