Golconda

Really lovely spotlight on cardamom. It's such a multifaceted note, and all the other players here are rallying together to highlight all of its different aspects. Next to its sibling, Bijapur, this feels more subtle, but that's admittedly an unfair comparison since that one demands the wearer's attention so adamantly. When I first applied this, the sandalwood was what hit me first, probably due to its being paired with the lactonic notes. My mind went to Piano Santal and other creamy sandalwood scents I'd experienced. But Im glad I gave Golconda multiple wearings because the cardamom really sings once you’re accustomed to the perfume. For those who love floral gourmands and who wish for cardamom to play less of a supporting role in their perfumes and be brought to the forefront, this is will likely be an instant love. Excellent set at a great price point relative to quality. Beautiful.

I really like this fragrance — it feels rich, elegant, and beautifully composed. The quality of the ingredients is unmistakable; every note comes through with smooth precision. The creamy mix of cardamom, milk, almond, and saffron gives it a warm, spicy opening that feels both comforting and luxurious. As it develops, the rose and honey blend into the depth of oud, sandalwood, and amber, creating a sensual, golden glow. Golconda feels like an olfactory jewel — refined, radiant, and full of character. A must try if you like oriental florals.

This is just an amazing set!! They are both so unique and extremely well crafted. The silage is just right. I love the creaminess of Golconda with the cardamon, it is sublime. And the aromatics of Bijapur are juxtaposed with the beautiful rose perfectly. The rose in both is a lovely connection! That price is incredible -so well worth it!! Especially for the quality of ingredients, the oud alone is special. And the shipping was extremely fast and smooth! Well done gentleman!!

Lovely gourmand with a floral twist. Artisan niche perfumery. Quality ingredients throughout the structure. Playful, unique and opulent. A gourmand journey with exciting layers.

I was really hoping for a perfume that smelled like ras malai with the note breakdown. While I do get the sweetness typical with Indian desserts (another reviewer mentioned gulab jamun), I am missing the lactonic notes of the milk in my sample vial. Straight out of the bottle, the oud and sandalwood are pretty strong, so I was worried it would be more masculine-leaning upon wearing, but it dries down to a more balanced, warm, and rich scent that isn't overly gourmand. It's a beautiful fragrance that is a great unisex find, and I would love a full bottle.

Think of a gulab jamun, put into a bottle and add a finishing touch of Indian Oud. Beautiful gourmand-esque composition balanced by the sandalwood and Indian Oud, giving it more versatility and preventing it from becoming overbearing. A beautiful cardamom rose over a bed of creamy sandalwood and dash of animalic oud. Would recommend for gourmand and oud lovers.

Golconda is a beautiful rose scent, that whilst technically reads as an amber composition note-wise, has almost a more fresh chypre vibe on first spray/sniff, perhaps a combination of the citrus nuances of the cardamom and patchouli. The sandalwood/oud combo is definitely punchy and dominant. It’s difficult to say whether the oud enhances the sandalwood or if the sandalwood enhances the oud, probably both. The cardamom, milk and almond are more subtle supporters. What really ties the rose together with the sandalwood/oud is the lovely velvety honey note woven through the middle. The end result is definitely a shimmering gem in the attar style tradition, made into a speakable format by Rajesh and Faizal Privee. Well done!

A fragrance only for those who are seasoned fragrance wearers, You have to LOVE perfume to want to rock this. NO...you will never find this at your local Sephora :D It is an unusual gourmand, blending Cardamom and milk with a light dusting for floral in the rose note. Long lasting...If you are brave and want to stand out take a dare and wear!
