Rochester

I loved this scent, one of the rare ones that does in fact do exactly what it says. It starts strong, very much takes you to sitting on the porch in autumn on the Rochester farm, the tomatoes ripe and someone smoking nearby. Deliciously spicy, even sexy, and that tone lasted for a good while. It does mellow then, and I will go against the grain and say the dirt note is just right, just present enough. And slowly in the denouement it turns sweet, organically so not sugary, maybe like old school pumpkin pie. It's a real winner, Upstate NY Fall in a bottle.

I was in love with this scent it was so nice and dry and smokey and sensual. It was really nice for both day and night. I felt like drinking hot coaco with this and snuggling with my dog

This fragrance matches exactly as its described and has a very realistic/nostalgic "family farm in the fresh autumn" scent. It's very warm and feels a little "rusty" because of the tobacco note staying fairly prominent throughout the entire longevity, which personally I'm not a fan of but at the same time it admittedly pulls the whole picture together. A few minutes after applying, the very accurate dirt note comes to the front, and then as the scent settles down it gets replaced with the pumpkin and tomato. It's more on the masculine side but can easily be used in an "honest hardworking farm girl" way more femininely. A very unique and special fragrance that feels like a memory :)

Immediately after spraying, Rochester is sweet and spicy on my skin, like an apple pie with cinnamon. As it dries down, the tobacco scent becomes more prominent, adding a smoky note to the sweetness. The end result for me is almost entirely sweet tobacco, without the earthy and tomato notes. It's a nice scent, but one I would probably save for hayrides or bonfires. I'm not sure I want to smell of tobacco on a regular basis.

Perfect for a super cold day in late october. The tobacco really brings a warmth to this fragrance and it feels like walking into a warm, dimly-lit shop with a big fireplace and the scent of dry leaves still on your clothes and your cheeks haven’t warmed up yet.

Really does smell like pumpkin insides (but not the romanticised/yummy candied/pumpkin spiced chai/halloweeny/perfumery type of pumpkin, like real unglamorous pumpkin flesh), sour/astringent snapped tomato vines and a tiny bit of sweet soil. I actually get quite confused applying some of my Fantome oil samples because the scent is so minimal that I think i'm just smelling the oil base and not any notes and panic thinking they forgot to put the notes in but then as it warms up you start to pick out the nuances. This is one of the ones which I've only experienced with Fantome house which smells more like a literal space/place then perfume and it isn't really a romanticised or photorealistic fragrance either. I actually find I am not liking these even though my biggest love is Earthy photorealistic scents coz it just smells like I am dirty and need to shower and I find i'm not really enjoying/getting dopamine wearing them. Dried down to more dried dirty autumn leaves after a while which is more pleasant but I still think it needs a 'hook' and perhaps stronger concentration because some of these smell like the carrier more than the notes.

Upon first spray this smelled extremely sharp and screechy, and I was afraid I would hate it. However, it immediately settled down and became a pretty, spicy, leaf scent. The dirt in this is present, but far too faint. (Please, more dirt!! LOL) I think what I'm getting more than fresh pumpkin is a pumpkin spice, mostly nutmeg. It is nicely blended with the patchouli, without becoming like a headshop patchouli. The fallen leaf note is woody but not resinous, and has a harshness to it. That is balanced by the tobacco note, which is like an unlit pipe packed with scented tobacco. This is a nice composition: evocative, a little outdoorsy, autumnal, and comforting. Sillage is beast mode, and mostly reads as patchouli, as I've been stopped repeatedly by people who can smell it 10-15' away. I think it would be a great full bottle for someone looking for that kind of spicy fallen leaves vibe if you like a fine patchouli. I was hoping for something with more green and soil, so the search continues.

Literal photorealistic wet gourd. I smelled this after spending a sopping wet day at a pumpkin patch and was amazed at how well they captured that experience in a bottle. After an hour or two, the tobacco takes center stage. I enjoyed smelling this! I don't think I would wear it out, but it feels nostalgic, and reminds me of growing and harvesting pumpkins with my grandparents and their neighbors.
