Astaroth

Astaroth came in my sample pack as a little freebie, which I thought was very sweet. I wouldn't have normally picked it out, as I made my purchase in the summer and I'm not usually partial to gourmand-forward scents, but it was a delightful surprise. Straight out of the bottle, the pumpkin and pistachio seem most forward, an almost vegetal scent. On the skin, it warms beautifully and opens up into beeswax and honey. The red musk imparts something like sandalwood. I think on the dry down this could pair very beautifully with something like an orange blossom or another stone fruit to brighten it back up, but it's perfectly lovely as-is. Mood: October's dip in temperature as the sun slips away. You can have as much as you like. A burst of warm air as you close the door. Baklava and yeot. The crackle of candy wrappers or campfire. A million candles in the bath. The flick of a squirrel's tail. A scarf wrapped tight against the wind. Hands warmed by breath. Coffee on the viewing platform. "Eros the melter of limbs (now again) stirs me--" Cream and fur and kisses abundant.

Astaroth is generally similar to Rabbit by Zoologist imo, but more sweet. It has a gorgeous, sweet nutty opening, then it will became an amazing creamy white chocolate with a hint of candle wax. It's surprisingly long lasting also. The Goetia collection is particularly interesting, because each fragrance uses ingredients traditionally offered to that specific demon/deity it represents. From what I understand, this line not only helps the right audience connect with their chosen entities, but also gives curious newcomers a sense of the overall vibe of that entity. Conceptually and artistically 10/10. This is super cool! Actually everything I've tried from this brand has been a great experience.

Astaroth is probably my current favorite Fantome perfume. I have started to love gourmands, and astaroth fits the bill perfectly. I really get the honey and pumpkin, and the nutmeg and fruity scent of the peaches really round it out. It also lasts forever on my skin and has a decent sillage. This was actually the first perfume i ever got a compliment on by someone!

This scent is amazing It's a gourmand through and through It's got this fruity freshness with these thick earthy undertones, and a sweetness that just makes me want to eat the perfume off my wrists. This is a prefect scent for sleep it's soothing and creamy in a blanket way
