Triton

This is the first perfume I tried on my hunt for a dark, gothic aquatic fragrance. It's definitely a good contender. It's very resinous, green, and ozonic. It's not a safe blind buy at all. I can imagine a lot of people really disliking this. But if you're going for the "corpse of a drowned sailor" vibe, Triton is pretty good, and relatively wearable. (It's fantastic layered with Lorelei)

Triton smells of dead leaves... oceanic and a bit citrusy, too. It is very fresh (possibly from the citrus and marine notes), and feels like living in a cold oceanside village with rocky shores and violent waves. An hour or so after applying, the leaves start to smell less sharp, yet the oceanic scents become more prominent. Triton is an extremely "dark" green and fresh scent, yet not something that could be sold as a widespread designer perfume. It is complex, niche, and not afraid to smell unique.

Really interesting! At first it is very citrus-forward, but melts into something deep, salty, and green. It makes me think of chewing on seaweed at the beach as a kid, in a good way. I don’t think this is a crowd pleaser or a safe blind buy, but I’m enjoying it. The citrus can be a little distracting from the aquatic feel, but it does bring a fresh sunniness to the table. Seaweed on a sunny beach with a lemon.

Yep, salty citrusy aquatic. I have Bune on another patch of skin and this is a nicer, more approachable aquatic by far. It’s like Demeter Rain with the addition of sand or mineral notes. It’s nice, but not for me.
