Sweet Carousel

On my skin Sweet Carousel is a wonderful gourmand: pink cotton candy and vanilla scented powdered sugar, absolutely stunning. The opening is a cloud of berry flavoured cotton candy, then this shy powdered almond comes forward (slightly bitter, delicious). A strong vanilla base stays during the whole journey. Vanillic and almondy powdered sugar is what comes to my mind with this fragrance. Compared to Chia, that's sitting on my other arm, Sweet Carouse is a bit more gourmand and a bit less powdery, but they're basically twins. Chia is slightly more bitter, less edible, more talc and sand. When I'll empty my Chia bottle, I will totally replace it with this one, that I might even like more. A noticeable ecception to the "reformulation scare" trend! Safe blind buy if you like sweet powdery scents (not the violet - iris type, more the baby talc powder type), absolutely perfect for everyday and office friendly.

This is more of a skin scent on me but it’s very nice. It’s not extremely sweet as I assumed it would be, which means it’s probably work safe too. It doesn’t remind me of Pink Sugar. I didn’t like that one. All in all, a pleasant inoffensive scent. Still, I only need one scent that’s like a fun fair and that is Shay and Blue Salt Caramel for me. I love the sweetness with the saltiness in that one.

Sweet Carousel took me back in time to when, during village festivals, the air was filled with delicious aromas: roasted and sugared almonds that I loved so much. It's not a cloying fragrance, I find it very pleasant, it brings a smile, and I don't find it too simple either, but skilfully elaborated. Pretty. Ideal for autumn or winter

I’m so happy to find this! Chia was one of my most beloved perfumes. It is discontinued and is impossible to find, even on EBay and other resale sites. This perfume is so similar that I can happily switch to this. I’m surprised the notes don’t mention powder as this is a powdery scent to me.

The name Sweet Carousel fits perfectly! This is a sweet confectionary fragrance. Notes of cotton candy, candied almonds and powdered vanilla sugar. I tried Chia and didn't like it, but this one I absolutely love! Definitely for gourmand lovers like me. I can't wait to get a full bottle.

I have an sample and i love it so much! it smells sweet and i get alot of almond and such notes. definitly a safe blind buy but might not meet your expectations the berry notes in it are amazing! im definitly looking foward to buy a full bottle soon.

Very nice but was not impressed. Sweet and simple. Barely can feel the almonds. I prefer stronger ones like the ones in Xerjoff. Or even Kilian's rolling in love. This almond is very simple and just not intense.

Sweet carousel reminds me of Bavarian Sugared Almonds. It’s nutty, powdery, semi-sweet and a touch musky; you can smell the glaze and crunch from the freshly roasted sugared glazed almonds. I’m also getting a slight dryness that cuts through the fragrance to not make it too cloying. I need to highlight that this is a powdery, dry, nutty fragrance. I don’t find it too sweet (it’s a very soft sweetness) and I personally don’t see the resemblance of cotton candy but rather find that the sweetness is coming from the aroma of glazed sugar almonds. Definitely test before buying. Sweet Carousel is one of a kind and you have to do a full wear test to really understand the fragrance.

I agree with most reviews, but I’d like to add that this is not a gourmand perfume. It smells primarily like baby products, perhaps even slightly medicinal. Overall, it feels very innocent, though I think people of all ages could pull it off. Definitely feminine. The citrus and red fruit notes set it apart and keep it interesting, distinguishing it from other perfumes with a similar note pyramid. If you’re looking for a heavy, sweet almond scent, this isn’t it. However, if you want something soft, comforting, and quite delicate- with a moderate level of sweetness, a musky base, and a subtle nutty nuance- this is it.

To me it smells like root beer and smells very similar to discontinued Funfair Evening by Maison Margiela, no idea why because they don't really have any notes in common. I do find it interesting they are both carnival/funfair themed - and yeah, both of these scents are definitely reminiscent of a funfair. Like cotton candy and a giant root beer float and the scent of various sugary treats blowing through the air... I can see how the root beery scent reads as medicinal to many people. My husband said it smelled like cola.

Inoffensive and pleasant. Less sweet than I anticipated from the name and notes. Opens with a hard blast of ambery citrus with something extremely sweet, like caramel, but that sugary impression completely disappears after a minute. Then it’s a nice, realistic almond (the actual nut - not marzipan or amaretto) and amber with a bit of extra vanillic sweetness. Reminds me of German Christmas cookies made with almond flour and vanilla.

This scent is so surprising! It's a sugary almondy treat with a hint of lemon. It's cozy for winter and fall, but I also feel like this could work in the spring with the lemon/orange notes. This scent is so unique and I can't think of anything like it. However, it is a bit too powdery, which elevates the scent and makes it sophisticated, but I would love a slightly more gourmand and juvenile take on this scent.

Smells very aquatic on me, in a good way, like a watery almond vanilla or... when you add orange blossom water and vanilla bean paste to water to give it some flavor. Like something you’d wear at night after a bath, wear a silk robe or for a late night date wearing a simple black spaghetti strap satin mini dress with no undies, that type of fragrance. A sweet aquatic perfume that envelopes skin for a sensual night, not a beast, more like a very noticeable secret; a night time almond.

I received a sample of Sweet Carousel yesterday and couldn't figure out why the scent felt so familiar. Then I remembered it’s the exact same scent as Cutie Pie by Kim Or Azulay (Miss Kay), which I bought for my little sister about two years ago. The DNA is identical, but the price difference is huge: Sweet Carousel is around $150, while Cutie Pie is only about $10 for 30ml. Maybe it’s just me, but they feel exactly the same—I’d love to know if anyone else thinks so too!!

I can definitely see the resemblance to pink sugar. I thought this would be sweeter, but it’s slightly floral and a little soapy to me. Very youthful I can see a teenager wearing this. I was hoping for more of a burnt sugar frosting type of scent.

A very sweet, fluffy cotton candy scent. Slightly floral as well. I love it but the sillage and longevity could be better considering the price point. Also its very similar to pink sugar by aquoalina. So you don’t need both of them.

i can’t lie i only got this cause i love carousels hehe. very sweet though! it’s pleasant, i don’t rlly get the almond note, i more get lychee weirdly?? its rlly pretty though and i enjoy it a lot

To me this smells exactly as going to the attractions park and asking for caramelized almonds Very sweet, sugary and nutty. Warm and kind of soapy due to the musk I love it

I got a sample of this scent and it reminds me so much of the Original Chia in the old bottle, not the newer black one ; )
