L’Eau D’or Dort

Just as I was about to leave, this last, almost half-hearted test-spray from the Fascent line... it won my heart over immediately. Aptly named, L'eau D'or Dort starts with bright petitgrain and a semi-ripe citron effect. The citrus here is still green, bitter-edged, still holding some pith, while orange blossom begins to rise underneath as a soft white haze. It's not honeyed nor opaque but fresh, airy, and translucent. Addictive. Even my mother, who has some sort of personal vendetta against All Things Neroli, admitted it smelled rather nice. High praise, frankly. As it settles, it develops more into the all-familiar summery French neroli cologne, but without the predictable soapiness or thick floral waxiness that often comes with the territory. The petals feel silky rather than frothy, while the aldehydic musk gives them this clean, luminous blur. Just imagine cologne filtered through shimmery white gauze. It is not quite sparkling enough to feel effervescent per se, but it has this lovely quiet radiance which rises from your skin as sunbeams. I definitely adore the proportion here: We've the petitgrain keeps the orange blossom from becoming plush or saccharine and the musk to soften the green vegetation around. Be it the citrus fruit, florals, or leaves, everything stays pale, smooth, slightly sun-warmed. Incredibly moreish. I went all the way back to the only shop in my city selling this just to smell it again, which probably says more than anything clever I could attempt conjuring.

A soft and clean summer floral. It opens up very bright, light and citrusy, settling into a musky orange blossom. It's a really lovely perfume, my favorite from Fascent together with Red Flag. I only wish it'd last longer

whenever i convince myself that i'm a floral hater, there is always a fragrance that reminds me white florals exist... and they almost always get me. this smells so clean and effortless. the best word i can come up with is just.. pretty. it smells pretty. if i wanted to feel effortlessly beautiful, this is the kind of fragrance i would reach for. it doesn't need to demand attention or do anything particularly unusual. it just quietly does what it sets out to do. i don't have much more to say than that. it's simple, pretty, and very easy to like.

Blind bought this expecting it to be a generic soapy, citrus scent. However, it really surprises me. The notes are really hard to pick up, but this is blended smoothly. In my opinion, this smells like a bathroom in a vintage decorated, modern 5-star hotel. But I get woodiness accords even though wood notes are not listed. This is an entirely summer vacation scent without a doubt.

Smells fresh with a hint of lemons but it's severely underwhelming but it dries down similarly to Rabanne's Olympea solar which is nice! Not (my) personal preference though

great for summer. when you don't know what to wear this is it. petit grain is dominant in the opening, later on it's more gentle and really easy to enjoy during the day.

A fresh orange blossom perfume, perfect for summer. Very versatile for all family members. Clean vibe! I like it :)

Very summery french neroli and petitgrain fragrance.. reminds me of the l’occitane petitgrain fragrances. Fresh!

It is a good clean scent if that's what you're looking for but there is something in here that is unpleasantly "heavy"/headache inducing. I suspect it's either the white musk or aldehydes. At first spray it's fine but you really get this on the drydown. Not my cup of tea.

Neroli-like orange flower. A little creamy, sun tanlotion vibes. Smells like sun, sand and a dense white lotion. It is in the edge of some summer profiles. It lacks the freshness of other neroli or orange blossom perfumes. But also is not creamy or tropical enough to be considered one of that beachy sun tan lotion scents. Smells elegant and mature. I would recomend for those who are looking for a bright neroli-esque perfume, but want to avoid the syper bright and freshness of that kind of perfumes. This smells much more creamy, less sharper.
