Ciao Amore

This fragrance is nice, but it is nothing to write home about. I felt like the fruity fig and the bitter and dusty fig leaf overpowered everything else in this scent and I could only smell a hint of orange blossom. The fig leaf was probably my least favorite note and I could do without it. It made Ciao Amore quite dirty smelling honestly, instead of fresh and uplifting. I got no headaches from this though and wear time was about 5 solid hours. Sillage was arm's length too. It is a very summery day scent, but it is honestly a bit overpriced and it smells like a body spray from Victoria's Secret slightly. I also would class it as more unisex than feminine smelling, so it is not what I would wear. It is sad that Fendi didn't really make any floral or white floral scents, which is a missed opportunity really. I also think that Atelier Versace does a much better fig scent that I like on men too, which I got for my ex boyfriend for Christmas last year. I'd honestly give Ciao Amore a 5.4/10.

I feel like the reviews here are somewhat negative, but I really, really love this frag. I didn’t at first, but it grew on me to where now I’m a little obsessed with it. It’s not complex at all, very straightforward notes but there’s something beautiful about the simplicity. The opening is my least favorite part: intensely green and bitter, and the orange blossom is right there with it giving it a very mature smell (mature in the eyes of a 28 year old). On me, it softened pretty quickly and the fig became more sweet than bitter. Hours later and the tonka takes over so I’m left with a very sweet skin scent, and as someone who loves skin scents, this is a huge plus to me. There’s something magical about this perfume, it may not be the most special or complex, but I love it.

Sparkling, fresh and uplifting fig scent with the orange blossom playing a bigger part to the point that it shares the center stage with the fig and can easily be categorized as an orange blossom scent. Very unisex.

The opening of Ciao Amore is very green, bitter and natural Orange Blossom and Fig leaves, not fruit. It's too sharp and a tad too potent for too long (for my taste) even to the point where I wouldn't be able to wear the scent and every time wait for a one hour until it evolves and become softer, more beautiful and rounded. I like Fig leaves and I love Orange Blossom but unfortunately this combination here doesn't work and the pleasant dry down is not enough to save it. I’m so sad I blind bought this. I own Polo Earth by Ralph Lauren and this Fendi smells very almost identical to it. The Orange Blossom in both perfume stand out so much with my chemistry. I dislike this scent.

I tried it on skin and on paper at a Fendi boutique. I was pleasantly surprised; very pleasantly surprised! Nothing original here, but a well done fig scent that is neither masculine nor feminine. Similar in profile to the relatively recent fig from Dior - Dioriviera. Ciao Amore is more unisex though, and slightly brighter at the top with the orange blossom. Not quite as loud as the Dior though. Pretty! Worth a sniff!

Nerolia Vetiver is that you? this is neroli and fig...with some other notes but on my skin this is almost identical to Guerlain Nerolia Vetiver! ha! is that even legal? anyway I don't enjoy this type of scent too much but if I were to buy one I would go with Guerlain, much better performance and price, plus a gorgeous bottle! Oh no Fendi...this new line has not been as good as I thought it was going to be...

Sweet white floral... Fruitti white floral, i was surprised when i saw the figs on the pyramid! It's not the figs that i know! It is an interesting mild sweet fig since i dislike figs in perfumery because of its cloying touch. It's a fair blend and i think it tends to lean more feminine.

This whole Fendi 7 bottle line up seems really lack luster , this one seems the one i would want to try besides the cherry one, other than that , Fendi could of done 2 great scents for a comeback that are really unique and solid note wise instead of 7 to be mediocre juice ! Will see.

So many good scents that Fendi has created in the past and now they start launching new "niche" and very expensive perfumes. They could bring back the wonderful work of art perfumes which Fendi's house has always produced and unfortunately descontinued after. So sad.
