Bright Neroli

I'd like to preface this review by saying Neroli/Citrus Blossom is one of my favourite natural scents, if not my absolute favourite. I grew up around citrus trees and the wonderful fragrance of it's flowers. I could never escape the intoxicating draw of those flowers, nor would I ever want to, and so I made certain to keep that feeling these flowers evoke in me close to my heart. If heaven had a smell, it'd be a field of Citrus blossoms. As an adult, and gardening hobbyist, I now have a modest orchard of citrus trees my own, consisting of various types of mandarins, grapefruits, and lemons. There are few things in life I look forward to more than Spring, because I get to smell the beautiful, fragrant flowers they produce. And so, searching for the best affordable Neroli scent has been a mission of mine for a long time. I've smelled TF Neroli Portofino, 4711, and a few other scents. When I first smelled Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino it was love at first sniff. It smells very natural and very floral. However, it was still missing something. You see, natural citrus flowers have a tiny bit of spicy elements to them. They're gorgeously soft and airy, but also have a bit of a bite. Snap a citrus leaf, or even a flower petal and you'll smell the spicyness. While I love TF's NP, it was missing that element for me. And of course, it's outrageously expensive. Enter Ferrari's Bright Neroli. I was at a loss for words when I blind bought this, and smelled it on arrival. How could a car brand's scent be this good? Bright Neroli opens up rather synthetic and soapy, give it 10 minutes and it becomes a slightly spicy, soapy neroli bomb that lasts longer than I expected. It's completely linear, which I'd have no other way. I get at least 6 hours with this lovely scent, longer than NP, and much longer than 4711. The best part is even though it's synthetic, it's still one of the more true to nature neroli perfumes I've sniffed. It has the spicyness that every other scent forgets, and for that reason (and the price) wins over NP. NP absolutely has a more natural floral scent, but Bright Neroli has the elements it's missing to create a fuller picture on the whole. Is Bright Neroli a groundbreaking niche quality neroli scent? No. But at the current price, it's one of the best in the category. It's Spring now, and my mandarins, and Meyer lemon's are in full bloom, with my grapefruits budding and ready to flower. On one hand I have Bright Neroli, and on the other I have nature herself, and all her beauty. Of course, nothing beats the real thing, but this is as close as it gets to my nose if I want to experience spring's neroli any time of the year. For the price, I can't give it a lower than perfect score. I've bought 5 bottles of this juice and I'll never let go of it. I think I've found my affordable neroli scent. I do understand that there may likely be better niche options, but at what cost? I can only hope to find something better than this at this price point, and if anybody knows of better let me know, but for now, this is the one. Thank you Ferrari for this masterpiece. EDIT: Great news neroli fanatics! Al Haramain's Neroli Canvas. It's simply incredible. It's even higher in quality and longevity than TFNP, which shocked me. I wouldn't have recommended this previously, as the price for this was outrageous for a clone in the past ($160), but nowadays you can get it for $60-80, which despite being a clone, is an absolute steal. There is not one single neroli scent (both in quality and price) that is better than Neroli Canvas on the market as of 2024. This is the best of the best. Beautiful scent. I finally found it. :) Longevity: 6+hrs Silage: 1-2hrs Rating: 10/10 Masterpiece. Emotions evoked: Irreplaceable tranquil childhood memories.

To continue its expansion in the perfumery market, the Ferrari brand decided to start a new chapter in the history of the Essence Collection, which was released in the year 2012. To this end, decided to invest in unisex fragrances, extolling a single special ingredient in each creation, through more cheerful and fresh interpretations. So, in 2015, was born the Essence Les Eaux collection, with three scents in Eau de Toilette concentration: Noble Fig, Bright Neroli and Pure Lavender. They hit the market with the same visual pattern, but in transparent bottles, revealing the unique color of each piece. The boxes and the lids also have the same finishing and color, revealing a bright and sophisticated beige leather. Bright Neroli, as the name suggests, brings neroli as key ingredient and contains notes of petitgrain, bitter orange, Calabrian lemon and Sichuan pepper at the top of the composition. Then, the body of the fragrance is enriched with essence of neroli, rosemary and absolute of orange flower. The base brings a woody profile with notes of patchouli, vetiver and ambroxan. But before talking about the evolution of the scent on my skin, I'll explain, again, what are the neroli and the petitgrain. The neroli essential oil is obtained by distillation of the flowers of the orange tree. It features a floral and slightly sweet fragrance. The petitgrain is extracted from the leaves and branches of the bitter orange tree and has a bitter fragrance, typical of more traditional colognes, with citric and green aspect. Bright Neroli is a charming beauty! When touches the skin, shows the most famous side of the classical colognes with Italian freshness. The floral aspect is rich from start to finish and reveals itself with no mystery or masks. The absolute of orange flower (obtained by using solvents) is intense and inspiring and reinforces, in full, what was initiated by the essence of neroli. Over time, the fragrance loses its potency, but remains on the skin. The durability is great, but the projection could have lasted longer. Here, the aim is not to splurge, but to scream elegance. And also we must remember that this is a unisex fragrance and it was necessary to find a middle ground to please men and women at the same time. However, in my personal opinion, while Noble Fig tends to please men’s noses with ease, Bright Neroli has the ideal delicacy to conquer women. There are already many users around the world comparing Bright Neroli with Neroli Portofino (Tom Ford). Indeed, there are similarities and there are differences. To say that is a clone is a lie! The latter has more citric accords and white floral nuances on a creamy base, while Bright Neroli exploits floral and less carnal nuances on a woody base. I'd say it's a meeting of styles between more classic and refined colognes, as No. 4711, with a dab of creativity of the Hermès perfumes, for example. Among the three fragrances that were launched, this is the one I like the most because it stimulates and gives a boost in my mood. Bright Neroli is a guaranteed hit on any collection and is great for those hot days, in which people seem to drag on for everything.

This was a blind buy. Despite loving Neroli Portofino and everything neroli, when the bottle arrived I was a little nervous as it definitely is packaged like a manly man's cologne. I don't mind wearing a cologne-y smell but thought my husband would hate it, so I sat on it for a few weeks. Eventually I put it on, and immediately it smelled very masculine to me, but in a very attractive way that I'd want to lean in and get more. (The vetiver? The rosemary?) After it settled I gave my husband no clues and asked the what he thought, and he perked up and said, "Good. Very neutral." It smelled like this for a couple of hours and then died down very feminine on me. So the whole thing was a pleasant mind-F because so often fragrances open too feminine and die down masculine. This opened masculine, bold, kind of arrogant, and died down so cute and soft. So I love it. Neroli Portofino is definitely much more aquatic, fresh, and has that clean showery freshness. Frederic Malle Cologne Indelible is also a unisex neroli-lover's fantasy without the bold and arrogant top note of this one. If you're looking for something more floral and feminine, get Annick Goutal Neroli which is also lovely. Each of the four is fantastic in its own way. [Edit: how did I forget Miller Harris Lumiere Doree? It's the pungent bitter neroli that some of us love, but others do not. It isn't supported by other florals, aquatics, or evergreens like the others.] Ferrari Neroli would be great on a man or woman IMO. And to the prior reviewer it would be fascinating on a couple. Give it a go!

I'm a 31 year old male, my favorite fragrances are things like Fahrenheit and Drakkar Noir. But I have a soft spot for sweet scents and flowery scents too. Especially neroli/white floral. I am not well versed on notes, but I had a sample of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino that I just loved to put on after the shower because it smelled so clean and fresh. I can see how this kind of scent can seem like its for a grandma, but I don't get that at all. It's a nice, simple, clean, fresh fragrance. And it's by Ferrari?! I thought most "car company" fragrances were just cheap cash grabs. This one seems like it had a bit of thought behind it, and if you said it was designer I would believe you. Goes to show that it's the fragrance that matters, not who makes it. I have a mini splash bottle of this, and I like to spray some 4711 on after I shower, and solidify that neroli/citrusy scent with the Ferrari Bright Neroli. It's my go to for feeling clean and fresh before bed. I'll wear this one out easily on a nice sunny day. I don't care if it comes off as "grandma" to some- I really love how it smells and I think a man could easily pull this off. This is definitely full bottle worthy because it is not very expensive. Definitely worth it if you like things like 4711 and Neroli Portofino.

This is summer perfection! I have been on the hunt for a clean, citron-neroli and was very close to just pulling the trigger on $$$ NP with my swing and (sort of) a miss with Guerlain's Nerolia Bianca. Bright Neroli makes me think of a fresh white cotton or linen button down, hot summer days and a cold cocktail. Initial blast was sunscreen-like but then the citron and bitter orange came out moments later. On my skin, the citron is dominant over the other citruses. Neroli and orange blossom are right behind with my skin highlighting the OB sweetness. The other notes support as a generally light, herbal nuance. As others have mentioned, this is perfect for hot weather and a steal at the price. To me, it's right down the middle as unisex but I'm willing to wager skin chemistry has a lot to do with it. As a female (though I don't speak for all, obviously), I'm pulling more sweet orange blossom, sharp neroli and citron--in that order. Longevity is not terrible: I get around 4 hours on skin but longer on clothes. Happy to top up throughout the day at the price. Sillage is pretty incredible and projection is pretty strong for the first couple hours indoors--will be curious to see how this performs in actual hot weather. Very happy with this blind buy!

This starts off with a strong note of neroli and bitter orange, with a hint of citron. The whole composition smells a lot like Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino or its ancestor 4711 Eau de Cologne, but Ferrari Bright Neroli is far more 'orange' in character, with less lemon and no bergamot or lime. The whole fragrance smells very natural and is a soapy orange scent; the light orange juice colour is very appropriate. On drydown over time it smells still mainly of neroli, but I get hints of vetiver as well. This fragrance is totally unisex and doesn't lean masculine or feminine (as is the case usually with neroli-based fragrances). It smells sort of like an orange version of Mugler Cologne (which is also neroli dominant and totally unisex but is 'green' in character). Sillage is moderate leaning strong while longevity is also moderate leaning strong, at over 5 hours. Overall this smells extremely pleasant, and is a fantastic ultra-orange natural smelling neroli cologne with far more longevity and projection than 4711 Eau de Cologne but priced way less than Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino (while smelling like both). Neroli, and citrus fruits are probably my favourite aromas in perfumery, and this is one of my favourite neroli-based fragrances. 5/5

I blind bought this because I remembered hearing it was good and found it for an amazing price. When I opened it, I had forgotten what it was supposed to be a clone of, but as soon as I sprayed it, I instantly said "Oh! Neroli Portofino!!!" And that pretty much says it all... I personally never thought 4711 smelled like Neroli Portofino, but the only bottles I've smelled were at discounters, so maybe they had all gone bad? Anywho, this is an amazing Tom Ford Neroli Portofino clone, and a great summer day scent. ESPECIALLY FOR ITS PRICE! It's a little less heavy than Neroli Portofino and kind of reminds me more of fresh laundry more so than Neroli Portofino does. There's also a tiny bit of a resemblance to John Varvatos Artisan every once in a while, but this is not as heavy or synthetic as Artisan and they don't smell much alike when comparing side-by-side. This is a "Love" for me. I remember a time when I hated light scents like this and Neroli Portofino was just a "Like" for me. Times change and people change even more, but this scent is a classic and will never go out of style. You won't find anyone who is offended by this scent. In summary: I would buy this over Neroli Portofino every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

If this scent is a woman, I'm sure I'm in love with this chick already! Orange blossom and neroli are the most noticeable notes with tiny traces of vetiver. One reviewer here blames vetiver as base note to make this smell manly. I really do not mind the vetiver because this scent actually leans more on the feminine side due to floral notes. The combination is such a beautiful scent. Some complain of urine smell but I disagree. My nose cannot detect any trace of ammonia here. Maybe you got a bad bottle, perhaps a disgruntled and unhappy employee contaminated your bottle in the assembly line. But going back to vetiver, you do not need to hate it actually. Vetiver oil improves ADHD, anxiety, and brain health that is why it's called "tranquility oil" by some. To quote directly an online article by Christine Ruggeri: "Some of vetiver oil uses include treating heat strokes, joint disorders and skin problems. Using vetiver oil is also a way to boost energy levels when you’re exhausted. In addition, it’s used to cool the body during very high temperatures and soothe feelings of anxiety and nervousness." Ferrari Bright Neroli is my second Ferrari and had to live up not only to the hype of Bright Neroli itself, but also the hype of what I got from Ferrari Uomo. Bright Neroli is a very bright, clean citrus and isn't that dated, even if it a scent that smells like others that have been around for years. Bright Neroli opens with a strong citrus smell mostly citron and some bitter orange which honestly isn't a note I really enjoy but I like it here. Instead I smell a very strong smell that reminds me of Williams shave soap. The neroli is the strongest note and honestly I think gives it to some of the shave soap parallels. The neroli note is the strongest and really makes the base seem missing though I notice a slight vetiver. Bright Neroli works for a very heavy work friendly environment and summer in casual day settings, even in a gym (though at the pricing, I don't suggest it). This is once again due to its performance which is slight. I get five hours out of it but it is actually has some nice and slight projection for an hour/hour and a half. Ferrari Bright Neroli is a slight love for me, performance is its biggest knock but I love it. I would give Bright Neroli a 8.1 out of 10, but Uomo is still my favorite Ferrari.

When writing a fragrance review I always make sure not to be biased or influenced by other people reviews or compliments, so that I can give as much as possible accurate information about my experience. This is such a beautiful fragrance. It clearly does not belong to any gender category, this does not have any feminine, girly properties, nor any masculine harshness. That said, if your fragrance makes you a man or a woman, look further, this will not shape your gender. The longevity on this is above your usual ferrari fragrance (red, black,scuderia) and it has decent projection aswell (its not over powering but also it is not just a skin scent for atleast a couple of hours) This ferrari release for what it is and how much it costs is worth the hype it gets. It has been 2 weeks since I have it, I can not seem to get enough of it. Usually at such constant use of single perfume, after such period of time it becomes less noticeable to my own nose, but this is not the case with this one. If you enjoy neroli smell, you can blind buy this safely.

How in the world is this so overlooked? Or is it just that it's talked about more on the men's boards? Won a partial bottle in a giveaway, which I was happy for because I'd been eyeballing it for hubs who is drawn more to scents with substance, and isn't afraid of some florals. This is amazingly good. Every bit as good as a Tom Ford . . . and better longevity! The Neroli is definitely the stat, with a citrus of a bitter orange and some woody bases keeping it easily masculine, while the Neroli makes it positively unisex. The bottle is sexy and looks amazing on a dresser (thankfully, since it came unboxed), though it will stay in a drawer. I will most definitely be checking out the other Ferrari scents. I hope they are this good! It's a definite love! I'm giving it to hubs with the condition that if he doesn't like it, he gives it back to me! :)

the most versatile scent for spring and summer. im not surprised to find this fragrance in the most of top10 for summer on youtube. super fresh and invigorating, ferrari bn is basically a citrusy scent with some fruity-floral notes. this fragrance is damn pleasant and impossible to dislike. maybe the performance is not so good but it's so inoffensive that u can overspary without problems. i use it in the gym but fits very good for every occasion and age group. in italy u can find it for a very cheap price( 15-20 euro, a steal for this little gem). great quality-price ratio, buy it if u can. profumo rinfrescante e piacevole! scent:8 longevity: 6,5 sillage:6,5 uniqueness:7,5 versatility:9 bottle: 8 compliment factor-8 my vote:8 in one word: invigorating ps thanks to CHAD from agentlemansjourney for endorsing this fragrance. grazie!

in this review i’ll try to touch all the points regarding this masterpiece and i’ll start with what yall wanna know if you want a neroli portofino, layer this with Verscr man eau fraice 2/1 ratio. Now let’s review it as it is, yes it is a classic men’s fragrance, 4711 ish, smells like expensive soap with neroli and citrus notes, at first the neroli is not too prominent, wait 5min you’ll love the balance the neroli and pepper brings. White floralish citric and clean. Yes its not the most original smell, yes it is a cars brand, YES ITS LIGHT, BUT GOD IS THIS GOOD. I get around 6 hours off my skin with big projection in the first 2 hours after that it just becomes a skin scent Smell:9/10 Performance 7/10 Price 9/10 Wearability: 10/10 Overall: 8,75/10 GET IT

8/10- Zen Indoors- Clean & tender Ferrari's Bright Neroli is the perfume to go with for the office and indoors. A no brainer 100ml for around 20USD. The neroli isn't annoyingly soapy, it is well balanced with the citruses and a calming amber note. The scent opens with tart citron and lemon which can smell sharp, the scent mellows down to beautiful orange, fresh spices with a musky amber base. I'd place neroli in the heart of this scent, smells like you're passing by an orange tree. It performs adequately for a controlled environment but disappears sooner than I wish for the warm outdoors. The scent has a mild sillage for the first 2-3 hours and settles as a clean tender skin scent. I'd take this over most fresh scents on the market.

If you like Neroli fragrances designed for the summer. Do yourself a favor and hurry up and blind buy Bright Neroli at one of the discounters. Bright Neroli smells equally as nice as other more expensive designer and/or niche Neroli fragrances that have been designed for summer wear. Bright Neroli last an easy 8-10 hours on my skin with 8-12 sprays. Yes, 8-12 sprays!! If you own Bright Neroli you will understand how this is reasonable and safe practice. However, despite the heavy sprays, projection is less than average. Although, Bright Neroli will leave a light and pleasant scent bubble for those close to you. Stick to wearing Bright Neroli during the hot summer months for best results. Overall: 9/10 for scent and overall value.

This starts with a zesty, bright, crisp lemon / lemon zest note that feels very true to life, sweet and natural not candied. There’s a faint peppery zing with a hint of muskiness that follows, transitioning into an amazing Neroli / orange blossom note that is better, more natural, and stronger than some higher end fragrances. It fades to a gentle floral citrus after an hour or so and hangs in there for maybe 4-6 hours as a light skin scent that is like a perfect summer day. I spent $6 on a tiny splash bottle and it’s some of the best fragrance money I’ve spent. BTW, I am a woman; do enjoy some masculine scents but find this to be quite unisex, even leaning toward feminine; and one that would be unique with each persons skin.

really hyped up a couple of years ago and, honestly, I believe it's worthy of that hype. It's fresh and clean smelling. A refreshing option for a hot summer day with good longevity. That it can be had relatively cheaply just makes it that much better. Reading the reviews, it is funny that some find it too feminine and others too masculine. I guess that is the price you pay when creating a unisex fragrance. Personally, don't find it too feminine at all. I believe it to be on par with other neroli players like Dunhill Icon, Ferragamo's Aqua Essenziale Colonia and Lalique's White. Like those others, Bright Neroli would not be out of place in an office or casual setting. a winner all around!

Ferrari Bright Neroli is a treasure! As a child, I resided in Phoenix, Arizona, and every April for about two solid weeks, I would be out on the baseball field playing Little League ball, and the blossom scent of the desert orange groves would continuously waft over the field, floating lightly on a gentle breeze. It was so impacting, that it made those memories stick with me all these years! I will never forget those days. And to make the memories even more accessible, along comes Ferrari with Bright Neroli. One of the best, and most unique, floral summer scents I have ever put my nose on! It will be on my shelf always. Highly recommended for spring and summer, day or night!

Honestly for the price It doesn’t get better. The house of Ferrari and their essence line is highly underrated. Decent quality fragrances that were intended to be relatively expensive but their history of cheap department store discount cologne pulled the Essence line down hard. What where left with a small collection of good cologne at great prices. And Bright Neroli is one of their best. The authentic bright citrus and floral notes, the orange blossom and slight herbal notes in the background. It’s Masculine, but it takes a man of confidence to wear a manly floral citrus fragrance and it does pay of. I’ve gotten so many positive responses from this juice.
