Radiant Bergamot

The truth of Radiant Bergamot: *Inexpensive, but not cheap smelling per se. *Crowd pleasing, but well blended. *Easy to wear, more traditionally "masculine"(if you follow such things... I personally do not.) *Short lived on skin, but will last a morning-to-afternoon on clothes. *Suitable anywhere: office, first date, after the gym, and surprisingly an all-season citrus scent (though best in warm weather I'd imagine) Yeah, it's simple. Sure, it's light. But it has some great qualities for those who really dig freshy and uncomplicated. Its definitely citrus, but in a little more generic way... not specifically "bergamot", but has the clean shower and shave burst that makes it easy to appreciate. It definitely echos Acqua Di Parma Colonia, but it is just that: an echo. It doesn't have the same classic smoothness as Acqua Di Parma. Thats not a bad thing, though. Once you spray it on your skin: First blast: its zingy and loud like a brief chime or chord, but immediately settles down. 15 mins in: green, citrus, spicy, and almost aquatic. Present but not loud. Crisp, ready to take on the day. It stays close to this for a few hours on clothes. 1 hour in: Green musk with a hint of citrus and spice. Classic barbershop soap. Too clean and crisp to be woodsy. 3 hours in: musk with a mossy green sparkle, but only a skin scent at this point. Overall: I like it. I'll own it for as long as they make it. And you can't go wrong with the price. I imagine it would layer well with more niche brands that share the same notes or vibe.

Holy Crap, Batman! Radiant Bergamot is surprisingly good and extremely friendly on the wallet!!! I gotta admit that these citrus-aromatics aren't my favorite fragrance genre, but I do enjoy wearing them during the pounding heat of late-Spring and Summer. My biggest compliant is many of the great ones comes with a hefty price-tag, while performing abysmally on my skin, so shelling-out 2-3 hundred buckazoids for a citrus aromatic is something I rarely do. Two years ago I discovered Bright Neroli--from Ferrari, no less--that I actually prefer over the stellar Neroli Portofino. It's not quite as rich and luxurious of a scent, but it is very close, performs well, solid presentation, and costs only a fraction of the price. Fast-forward to last week and my bottle of Ferrari Radiant Bergamot arrived in the mail. In a nutshell, I get strong shades of Bergamot 22 combined with hints of that Aqcua di Parma di Parma Mediterranean DNA...again, in a nice presentation for something like $30. I find it to be a brilliant interpretation and one that I will be reaching for often this Summer. Perhaps I should have stopped writing my review after stating, "Holy Crap, Batman!" Radiant Bergamot is tied with Bright Neroli as my favorites from Ferrari. But your mileage may vary.

Originally bought 4 years ago (pre - covid). Hate it back then because of the spicy note creating aura of old - school cologne (think Hermes Eau d'Orange Verte). Performance is not too great either. Try to sell it but my spray head broke so I decided to keep it & end up forgetting it exists. Recently just rediscover this and decided to give it another shot by decanting it to a new bottle. I feel like I'm growing into this scent. Really like it. The opening is fresh, spicy with little hint of sweetness. It didn't change much further and pretty much getting softer over time. It projects only decently but didn't last too long on my skin. I got around 3-4 hrs and it's gone. With this in mind, however, it serves a great function in my fragrance wardrobe. It smells clean, soft & inoffensive so I can use it around "cologne hater". When you're going around "low fragrance" settings like gym, one spray on body plus one on cloth is all you need (I'm a sissy sprayer :D). Going for a quick errand? This won't overwhelm whomever you share your car with. I live in hot & humid weather so I can use this all year. Overall a great buy for its function if you can get it for cheap. But scent style is a bit old - school so stay away if you prefers modern scent.

Right from the first sniff I knew that this would be one of my favorites. I'm a lover of bergamot and most of the time a little dissapointed, that this component is mainly a short-lived top note of fragrances. But not in Radiant Bergamot, here I can revel in the citrusy freshness of it the whole time. Ginger, rosemary, and moss give this scent a sharp and aromatic accord, patchouli ensures just a hint of sweetness, an overall very good balanced creation. I purchased Radiant Bergamot after reading the great reviews here, I would never have even tried something from Ferrari before that, not considering it to be more than a producer of testosterone-laden red cars. I have been proven quite wrong and since this is such a fantastic scent at such an afforable price, I just ordered two more for backup. Also the minimalistic bottles of Radiant Bergamot and the whole Essence Collection are such a nice thing to look at and easy to store. Fragrances for women are often over-elaborated, festooned, and not very handy -- I'm thinking of my bottle of Montblanc Lady Emblem that tilts in every direction. Sometimes less is more...

After many tests in both hot and cold weather - normally I wouldn't do the latter, but I just love this perfume so much - I must say this is the longest lasting citrus fragrance I have yet encountered, and I have tried many of those. For a citrus freshie its longevity is simply phenomenal on me (easily 8+ hours), contrary to some oher reviewers' experiences. It's mostly bergamot with a hint of ginger, a hint of nutmeg and a hint of sweetness. And it's incredibly linear, the smell remains quite the same, it just weakens in projection. I have read in some other perfumes' reviews that a linear perfume is a bad perfume. Let mi ask: why so? If you love the scent's opening, you may like it not evolving, I think. In my opinion linearity is not always a bad thing and I love the linearity of Radiant Bergamot!
