Spring 25

Exactly what a spring perfume should smell like. It starts off grassy and quite vegetal with a blast of cold but then blooms into the loveliest of citrus and violet warmth. It’s like the early spring snow melting away into the warmth of the first blooms. The jonquil and violet are the stars, but by no means overpower the other players. Honestly , this scent is so complex as the notes work in unison, but each one shines throughout the day with wear. One moment you catch a whiff of verbena, the. Ylang Ylang, then lemon and violet. The mint is subtle —but perfect— and what you get by early dry down is what you have by the final hour, just with more warmth. It’s quite lovely and I already bought my second bottle. It was my first Ffern and I’m hoping I will feel this joy for many more to come.

This is my third Ffern fragrance -- I've been on the ledger since Autumn 24 -- and I am in love. This one is leagues above the first two I received, although I did end up buying Winter 25 from another subscriber and have layered Winter 25 and Spring 25 a bit. Spring 25 is in a league of its own, though. As others have said, it is spring in a bottle, and I love that it is multi-faceted, rippling through fresh flowers, mint, herbs and citrus throughout its wear. It will be a tough sell for me to not exchange the summer formula for another backup bottle of this when the next season rolls around. This perfume is exactly what I had imagined when I signed up for Ffern in the first place. They have knocked it out of the park with this one.

This is my second Ffern fragrance and so far, both Winter 25 and Spring 25 have blown me away. I am starting to recognize the Ffern DNA and it is right up my alley. I love fresh, aromatic florals, and if I were to create my own perfume this flanker would be it. I understand some don't appreciate the business model, but I quite like the fact that they make a certain amount of bottles and that's it. They use organic and responsibly sourced ingredients and their customer service is fantastic. The label was torn on my bottle when it arrived, and they promptly sent me a replacement. 10/10

Very reminiscent of an English country childhood. 🌿 The peppermint, violet and lemon sing on my skin. One of my favourite ffern scents, and Summer 25 is even better, they are on a roll! I love wearing these soft ffern scents around my children and toddler nephews, the natural ingredients don’t irritate their young skin or annoy their noses, and feel just right for me to give them all the cuddles and playful hands on fun of family life.

I'm honestly shocked that some people think all Ffern scents smell the same- I've been on the ledger since Summer 24 and each scent has been so unique and gorgeous. The star of this one really is the violet accord at its heart, but the journey from bright, cold, green violet leaf to sugary violet petal to velvety orris root is beautiful. I notice something new every time I wear it, which is something I love about natural fragrances.

This is my first experience of Ffern, and it’s a wonderful experience. It’s a flourish of fluffy flower notes that wash together in a bit of a haze, but keeping elegance while barring confusion. The notes romp together like dancers gathered in a wide shot of Moulin Rouge. It works, it’s elegant without feeling old, it’s spring without being too sweet, and it gets me excited about Ffern fragrances. This is not a unisex scent. Calling it unisex it’s a wiiide stretch. It’s unisex as long as you want to smell like a woman. I have feminine scents in my line up and I typically give a wide berth to the gendering of fragrances, but I am unable to find the middle path here. I feel a little lied to that this whole line is “made for anyone”. I am open to anyone wearing it that wants to smell this fabulous, but it calls Ffern’s marketing into question for me. Ultimately I returned it after 2 weeks of testing the sample in full. And not because it wasn’t lovely and rich and evolved and beautiful, because it is, but because it’s far too feminine for my taste. And there’s nothing wrong with that, but I find it hard to believe that the creator genuinely thinks it doesn’t possess specifically gendered qualities. Lovely organic complex scent, a dance of spring, strong and lasting in my opinion, quite floral, nearly brisk, rather elegant and rich. Top quality, and quite fun. 🤩

My first Ffern bottle. I'm not sure if this brand is for me, as I've looked through the notes of the other fragrances and it's a very aromatic, earthy, herbal brand for a natural girlie. Earthy, aromatic, and green are note my perfume vibes but I do love florals and I was willing to give these scents a chance. They send you a sample with purchase and if you don't like it, you can send the unopened bottle back. I luckily loved this fragrance as I am a HUGE violet lover. I have a large violet based fragrance collection and seek rare, difficult to find violet fragrances. This is an ozonic, fresh, yet floral violet perfume that is slightly earthy, green, with hints of aromatics and citrus throughout. The scent is non-linear, and it has several stages that it takes me on. My favorite stage is the opening due to the strong violet leaf and purple floral notes. This is Spring in a bottle. It's so airy, light, refreshing, and is a definite pick me up scent. It's a strong like and quite unique.

Mint, lemon rind and violets. Exactly what I want to smell and to smell like when I step outside on a crisp early-spring day. There's subtly sweet candied violets in the heart, settles into a green base of violet leaf. Less a flower meadow, and more dry earth with early deep green shoots and sprouts. On clothes, paper or the provided diffusion stone it fits the above description, but unfortunately did not agree with my skin chemistry at all. On me and my sister, we both smell elements of a burnt tire or plastic. Ultimately had to return it for that reason but spraying the remaining sample on my clothes makes me regret returning it now. I would happily smell like this throughout the early spring season. Will scrupulously use every last drop of the sample spray especially with a window cracked open to greet the new season because the spring wind goes so well with this fresh, green scent 🌱🌬️✨ EDIT: Dry down reminds me of Cacti from Regime des Fleurs which i just got a chance to sample

This is my favorite Ffern fragrance in years. I was genuinely considering canceling my subscription—until Spring 25 arrived and completely won me over. While violet leaf is listed among the notes, I also detect a soft, candied violet nuance that gives the fragrance its charm. That delicate sweetness is what truly makes it stand out for me. For evenings, I’ve been layering it with Voyager’s Flashbulb to amplify the violet aspect, since Spring 25 feels more suited to daytime wear on its own. Can you tell I’m obsessed? I’ll definitely be ordering a backup bottle.

Top with sweet minty and violet notes and a base of casual Ffern notes (cedar, jasmine, vetiver), honestly so far even tho I'm not into feminine scents Ffern might have done a good job on this one. Sillage & Lasting power was kinda bad but in terms of scent profile and overall blend was great out of all the 5 Ffern bottles i had went through. A cool spring scent. Kinda ended up giving this one up to someone close by, but I'd say so far this has definitely hit the spot as unique & pleasant.

Definitely fits the season, a very pleasant scent however the longevity just isn't there, about three hours at most I'd say - not necessarily bad but as someone who values long lasting fragrance it misses the mark for me slightly. The opening has a citrusy zest which I'm usually not a fan of but when incorporated with the lavender and Ylang-Ylang it ties together very delicately. For soft kind women, this fragrance smells like a warm summers evening.

Spring 2025 starts out very lemon, bergamot, peppermint, and violet forward. It's... sharp, astringent, and kinda burns my sinuses, haha :P I don't love the opening. The dry down is so nice, though, that it's worth powering through those first few minutes!! Powdery, green, earthy, with just a little bit of that citrus remaining.

I really enjoy this fragrance. The issue I find is not with the scent but that Ffrens spring,summer,fall, winter fragrances always smell alike. Spring 2025 is no different than Spring 2024.

It smells like spring in a bottle. For whatever reason, Ffern scents do not last on my skin. But I do love this scent, it is fresh and light, very refreshing.

Spring! Violets and nectar, lively. Like you just rolled in a wildflower field.

After four seasons' fragrances, I'm ... unenthusiastic. These are pleasant enough, the very natural-smelling essences of light greens, fruits, and mild spice layer interestingly in the freshly sprayed top. But there really isn't much depth, they don't last at all. Notably, despite their seasonal descriptions and some distinct ingredient notes, they all smell kind of similar or in the same territory. For a subscription model like this, I don't want a series of near flankers each season, I want variety and creativity. The twee marketing and packaging is brilliant, and reflects the fragrance content pretty honestly, but there isn't enough going on here or enough variety to stick with at this price point. A light freshen-up or a temporary room spray, maybe, but too ephemeral and monotonous for me.

Really lovely scent, just not very strong and doesn't last. I've not tried any other Ffern fragrances, so I can't say how this compares to other seasons/years, but it's a lovely herbal fragrance that fits for spring. I just wish it wasn't so weak.

Reminds me of Dedcool blonde. But less projecting.

it’s too minty, the other notes don’t shine through at ALL. and the scent doesn’t last more than thirty seconds, i can’t stress enough how serious i am about that! the appeal comes from the exclusivity and goodies they add with it. it’s definitely not worth buying from ffern especially if there is a mint note. i bought winter 23 and it was the same thing just straight mint nothing else.

This is the third bottle from fFern in a row that smells like herbs. I smell nothing else. I think my sense of smell and the nose for this, Elodie Durande, are diametrically oppsed bc I cannot stand any of these :(

Spring '25 is my first experience with Ffern and to be clear, I wasn't wearing it when I smelled it, my brother was. I was definitely intrigued and while it leans bright and effervescent, I actually found it very unisex. I took a small sample of his bottle, I tried it on and it was just as lovely. While I'm already partial to notes of violet, orris, lemon and bergamot, the blending of mint, lavender and eucalyptus created a fragrance that makes it herbal, as in a sparkling herbal iced tea on a warm day way, and, not in an earthy, herbal medicine way. My issue with a lot of herbal, green, aromatic unisex fragrances is that there is usually something at the base makes it too heavy or earthy for me, as my skin pulls those notes forward instead keeping a fragrance balanced and grounded. But this stays light. I love the idea that unisex can feel bright for the entire duration of a fragrance without being considered feminine or masculine. I need this for the season and I will hopefully be adding a full bottle of this soon.

With the initial spray this and I think of the fresh tubes of early spring flower bulbs. Then it settles into a beautiful floral citrus scent. The floral is tender and fresh. Think dew on buds of tulips. It matures on the skin and the violet becomes more pronounced adding its green floral note. I just keep thinking about the freshest shoots of bulbed flowers. Green, floral, citrus, with just the smallest bit of mint and eucalyptus to make it feel like the sun has just risen and not burned the dew off yet. Very much a spring morning scent. I love it honestly. The gentle florality with the restrained citrus really does something special here. It captures a very specific moment in spring. I will note than on the testing strip the violet really shines through. It smells like childhood, when I’d pick flowers and make small bouquets out of them.

Starts off very green, reminiscing over spring 24. Almost like a carrot cake with rhubarb, drizzled in spiky peppermint. Opening isn’t exactly feminine or masculine. Not my favourite opening of all time, but it is interesting, and you can slowly feel violets and daffodils creep in. After 5-10 minutes, the spice really dies down, along with the green mint. It unveils a beautiful smooth daffodil, with sharper hints of violet. All the while there’s a slight mossy undertone. I can’t fully talk about the post hour dry down, I will ask my girlfriend how she finds it (as it’s a gift) TLDR: beautiful green spice dries down into a creamy white delicious flower.

I stumbled across a Ffern sample. The only descriptor is that on the bottom of the sample it says SP5. Can anyone please tell me if this is a batch code and which season SP5 means? My first thought was Spring 25 for obvious reasons but as I've looked at bottles on Mercari, I'm not sure. Can someone please DM me and let me know what SP5 is?

my friend from college i made last semester had a bottle of ffern's spring 2025 bottle. it slightly reminds me of saint julep but without that sickly sweet smell. i wish it lasted longer on my skin, i could smell it maybe 20 minutes after spraying? it's a lovely scent but just does not last

A perfume I understand but don't love. To me it's much rather a tea scent than a spring floral one.
