Didone

From the paired set, I feel like this one is so much more complex. It pictures a whole scene. Let me describe. A small fireplace fading somewhere on a cliff near the sea. Smoky incense in the air. And all observable ground is covered in flowerbeds of Damask roses and saffron. This floral scent is just everywhere around and it hugs you gently yet firmly. Longevity is good. The liquid is clear and is okay for light-coloured clothes. Mandatory test before buying.

At first I could not figure out if I liked it but my cats absolutely hate it. First time I tried it, I got more of the charred wood and smoke notes which I found quite pleasant especially with the rose underneath. Yet the second time, it came on as really powdery with an overpowering rose. After about an hour, the incense takes center stage and it becomes more pleasant. I feel like this would smell iconic on a very masculine man in a nice luxurious suit because it accentuates a underlying feminine essence yet veiled in cloud of smoke.

Dual review: ENEA - Smells like aventus-type fragrance, but super smoky and incense'y, like combination of aventus and t-rex. DIDONE - i must applaud the ash note, because there is lingering smoky bitterness throughout the scent that bring to mind dying embers. It's combined with jammy rose and this makes the scent smell absolutely foul and disgusting for me. I'm not a fan of this set and sampling is mandatory imo. These were very hard to wear for me.
