Nebbia Spessa

Nebbia Spessa smells to me like fresh white linen that's been washed in the deep blue ocean then dried in the cold wind that hits it. The opening notes embrace your body and soul all day making you feel alive, constantly fresh and at peace. This has easily peaked at number one as the aquatic fragrance that I will reach out for most. It's simply addictive! I have never come across a fragrance so authentic as actually smelling of being near the seaside. This is not a fish scent or something aquatic that can be a turn off. Imagine walking on the beach on a slightly cold day in Summer and the wind hoovers a breeze in your face picking a salty breeze, a sweet note from the air and a wave of water that slightly hits your body and clothes. Even though this was a complete blind buy for me, hence the love I have for aquatics, I don't personally find this to be a challenging fragrance for non-aquatic fans. Most probably it would be a great introduction to understand aquatic fragrances more. Those afraid of a seaweed note, need not be as this is so well blended that it feels slightly sweet than sour. Whilst the theme of deep fog seems to indicate a sort of a dark fragrance, I find this to be an introverted fragrance and a happy fragrance at the same time as it warms the soul. I can genuinely feel the love Fillippo Sorcinelli put in this fragrance, dare I say that underneath all the aquatic notes there is also an incense note hidden to capture a moment of meditation by the sea. The longevity and performance is nothing short of spectacular. Just three sprays managed to fill not a room but a home! It lasted on my skin for more than 24 hours and yet was still detectable even after a shower. The design of the bottle is simple but it is definitely one of the coolest looking bottles ever with its fluffy white cloud cap. Nebbia Spessa is a deep dive into the blue ocean surrounded by playful dolphins whilst listening to the album Oceanic by Vangelis. An aquatic masterpiece like no other. 👌

Thoughts on a sampling... * Very nice and low keyed for a seafaring aquatic. * I like aquatics as I have a few. This one is one of the more crowd friendly in the genre. * The seaweed is predominant but seems to be in the background. * The forefront seems ozonic to me though not listed in the notes. * Ambergris, typically a note in a sea scent, is not present here. * Must be why this is so tame. * And that diminishes the projection factor here. Making this the weakest of this Foggy trilogy series. * Bottle holds true to the theme and is superbly done. * Duration is exceptionally long but after 2 hours projection is a weak afterthought. ** Final thoughts. Unisex in my opinion. Due to low silage it can be a very women friendly AQUATIC. Best scent of series and worst projection. ***I would get this if it were more than a weak skin scent as I really want to pick up a bottle from the Nebbia collection. It looks like I will go with Nebbia Densa instead.

I bought this immediately after sampling it. I agree that this is a very divisive and a challenging fragrance, but also just as unique and versatile. If you want to smell like a incomprehensible angelic entity, then this is the perfume to go. If liminal space had a smell this would be it. On my skin it opens with weirdly bitter and cold aquatic notes, then as it progresses it turns into a laundry detergent smell with a lingering scent of umami. I fell in love with it beacuse it smells so familiar, yet somehow it feels so indecipherable at the same time. Bonus point: I love how Filippo always uses bottle design as an artistic medium for storytelling. It's the first visual cue that hints at what we can expect the perfume to smell like. In the Nebbia collection's case, I think it's meant to capture the essence of the different stages of the water cycle.

This scent isn’t easy for me. One the one hand, I’m very fond of aquatic, almost translucent scents, on the other hand it smells like salty sweat, but only sometimes. It works best on cloudy, days with a cool breeze. The hotter it gets, the more it smells of salty body odor instead of a rough sea scape. I’m afraid it’ll be hard to purchase soon. I’ll get a FB as long as I can.

Nebbia Spessa for me is like the cold sea breeze. Seaweed note is dominating. In my personal taste, this one is best out of three, it is the most aquatic one.

At first i thought this is really boring scent and so i overlayered it with other 2 nebbia fragrances. Today i didnt have mood for fragrance so i used spessa. It really smell like fresh air when is cold sunny day or that fresh feeling which you can have after spending few hours swimming in indor pool with chlorine. There is some vibe like throat disinfection, which people are using when they have pain in throat and starting to be sick, but this one is without taste and chemical smell, only with that clean feeling that you are healthy and fresh. There is something in the background what reminds me Quando rapita in estasi, but i cant really say what kind of ingredient it is in Spessa.It is some type of natural fresh smell like Lily of the valley which is in Quando rapita fragrance, so in the spessa it is dewdrops? Some feeling of petrichor smell after rain on sea surface in abandoned harbor.Spessa is more private scent for boosting your mood, it is pleasant and elegant at same time. In the beginning i added Spessa at last place in nebbia collection, but after first use and 7 hours from application i can say that Spessa is no.1 in nebbia. Really worth of try!

This is not as complicated and scracthy as the other people in comments wanted to make it seem like... This is a beautiful aquatic fragrance that resembles the dove hand soap. the idea behind this fragrance is to resamble a thick fog the ones you get in the winter where you can't see anything further than 2 meters ahead of you. This is a great nostalgic fragrance i personally love to smell it to feel calm and relaxed and this is the intent behind sorcinelli's work it wanted to give the wearer a sense of peace and wellbeing. As someone pointed out under me, this is not a prticularly likable / social fragrance. The first day i wear it one of my friends after entering the room started complaining about the smell, this stuff is nuclear and the sprayer sprays a lot of fragrance at once i would not go for more than 3/4 sprays. Ideally for Winter, presentation a bit lacking IMO, price a bit to high. all considered i give this a 7/10.

ozonic .not salty.difficult to understand the notes ... slightly sweet, clean seaweed from the open and cold sea. not warm and closed summer sea. perhaps the fog in the open ocean. perhaps the fog of the titanic. it's a dew of the night that hits you in the face. it reminds me a little of the sea on a night cruise but this is less salty. smells good but it's not the marine i was looking for. rating 7.5 / 10 excellent performance. a 4 season scent for night and day and different situations. very versatile. too linear development. almost non-existent.

It's a very fresh, bright scent. It has the potential for both Spring and Summer wear. For Spring it evokes rain, the first sights of green on a pond's edge, the dew on flower buds. For Summer it brings to mind ocean spray, whale watching, mossy rocks in a waterfall. I don't think the scent is overtly marine despite the seaweed note, it feels broadly aquatic with green notes. I agree with others that it smells soapy/laundry detergent-esque but I don't think that quality is bad.

I detect three major notes: a salty note like that found in Heeley's Sel Marin, contained in a fog of clean musks, dirtied by metallic aldehydes. It is not unpleasant. In keeping with the theme of the Nebbia line, this fragrance is transparent, cool, and light. But it still has presence and is quite long lasting. Wearing it makes one long for a thick wool fisherman's sweater and a seat closer to the beach fire.

Nebbia Spessa is definitely unique! It's like being enveloped in a dense sea fog – salty, fresh, and a bit mysterious. Not your typical everyday scent, but I find it really captivating.

Smells like a more refined Swagger by Old Spice.

All I got was fancy hand sanitizer. I'll post this now so I have something to reference in a few days when it's settled. I have a feeling something interesting might happen.

Smells similar to CDG - Standard

It is indeed an aquatic and salty scent, with that seaweed note in the background that is found in many of this perfumer's other fragrances. Personally, it's not my favorite thing (a note that will forever be associated with Secretions Magnifiques in my mind) but when worn, it should smell fresh and a little bit like a bubble bath. However, the common thread between all these perfumes claiming a seaweed note that I find very far from the smell of a natural seaweed is really making me wonder what (certainly synthetic) material is being used here.

I'm in my search for a favorite aquatic, so I've tried this one too. It is catchy on the opening, among the waves and crystal clear blue sky. It's almost good, but I felt something is missing... But then the dry down comes, which smells like salty water with a slightly rotten seaweed. Closure - a body odor. Literally, I felt like someone's skin is in the bottle. Sorry :(

Dont buy or even sample this fragrance. I legit think filippo put laundry detergent in this. It smells of cheap laundry detergent and rotten seaweed. Its incomplete in my opinion. To empty to be a summer or spring fragrance. I dont even think this counts as a fragrance it smells worse than axe body spray 🤮

It's just ozone. It's light, and it's nice as far as ozonics go, but there's not much else going on here.

The pretty bottle got me...but Wowowowow I hate this so much. I had high hopes, but this smells like super pungent, sweet, body odor mixed with seaweed rotting in stagnant water. It is nauseating- I showered and changed my clothes and it is still lingering days later. On the description of “between salt, revulsion and pleasure” revulsion takes the lead. Big yikes. Tried in multiple seasons. Hideous all around. Please don’t subject other people to this by wearing in public. Anyone saying this smells like fresh laundry may need to run a cleaning cycle on their laundry machine. Shimmer is pretty though.

Ok, on opening it smells like a typical masculine deodorant or body wash, 100% aquatic. Dry down on my skin...smells like salty sweat. Like straight up BO. I’m guessing this just does not work with my skin. It’s really gross actually lol, I had to scrub it off. The bottle is cool though.

The first spray is a hint of seaweed and mostly fresh soapy water that comes,I gather,from the combination of water notes and dew drops and so for a few minutes it smells like a sort of laundry detergent by the sea and then the magic happens:the seaweed comes back,stronger then lingers so well sustained by the water,that feels fresh,breezy,kind of oceanic. It's a beautiful perfume, as a marine lover I can tell that is more wearable than Salina despite the latter being my favourite seaweed fragrance ever,as ozonic notes can be perceived similar to rotten eggs,I guess.The difference to my untrained nose is that Salina smells more like sun- scorched seaweed on a rock by the sea,it's more ozonic and salty,it evokes a harbour to me,a secret beach everyone thinks it's dirty because of pebbles and its attached algae,but its not.Nebbia Spessa gives you the breeze from watery,fresh seaweed on the surface of the sea.

I'm very, very surprised by the comments on this fragrance. I sampled it today and screamed in sheer agony and terror as the spritz landed on my arm. It smells rotten and vile, I can't even describe what it is. To my nose (and my bfs), it smells like boiled eggs, bile and celery. I was almost crying trying to scrub it off, and after 3 scrubbing attemps I can still smell it on me, and somehow also on my bf, my couch, and my cat, none of which came in contact with the sample vial or my spritzed arm. It is everywhere at this point and it just won't go away, it went off like a nuclear bile bomb in my living room and I can't evacuate. My breath smells like Spessa, my tears smells like Spessa, and my poor, poor, innocent cat smells like Spessa. Don't buy it, don't go near it, and for the love of everything holy, don't wear it around other people.

Wow I love this, just sampled today and to be fair most of Filippo's work, and this stood out the most to me. For some reason it's insanely nostalgic, brings me back to my childhood around 2013, idk why but it instantly transports me to the past. I love aquatic frags and this is really unique. I can still smell this fairly well on my arm 9 and a half hours after putting it on, sillage I would say is moderate for a few hours, then turns into a skin scent. I will definitely be picking up a full bottle sooner or later, it's perfect for those foggy cloudy days - just like the name suggests. If you don't like challenging scents, you probably won't like this one. For me, this is the best out of Sorcinelli's lineup.

Oh yes, it smells exactly as it is said to. A thick fog descends upon the sea, erasing the horizon. The sky turns pale and hollow, and a lone ship drifts slowly, suspended between movement and stillness. Salt clings to the air, cold and unforgiving, filling the lungs with a quiet weight rather than freshness. Its longevity is remarkable, almost unexpectedly so. At first, it carries the ghost of freshly washed linen, distant, fragile, but this cleanliness does not last. Gradually, almost imperceptibly, it dissolves into something heavier and more somber: a deep, opaque fog that settles in place, lingering long after warmth has disappeared.

Realistic nature elements, quite good to wear summer mornings and late evening beach walks. The perfect fragrance to use if you're into gardening or if you just want to relax while reading a book.

Initially very ozonic aquatic. After a few minutes the seaweed starts to show giving it a slightly salty/green facet. Transports you to the beauty of the seas. Stunning.

Amazing fresh and unusual scent. I feel light mint, salt and breeze of ocean waves on my skin. Love it, ideally fits on summer days.

Very fresh, aldehydic and almost invisible scent. Good for the summer if you don’t want to overwhelm yourself or others.

A truely horrendous , challenging fragrance. Smells very similar to secretions magnifique. Some might like, I can't.
