Pioggia Debole

Briefly: it's a citrussy petrichor. I'm again blown away. Like the others in this collection, this fragrance is long-lasting with a beautiful projection. Initially, it smells like pure rain with green undertones, then evolves into a fresh, aquatic musk. You guys know that feeling when you can sense rain is about to fall? This perfume is unique because, through (I think) the subtle play of citrus notes, Filippo has managed to capture that very tension, that intuitive anticipation just before the rain begins. It's really hard to describe this.... I would list 'white noise' as a fragrance note.

This fragrance perfectly captures the scent of autumn rain, mix of wet earth and decaying leaves. It’s surprisingly strong and lingers beautifully on the skin for hours after application. The citrus notes come across less as bright or zesty and more as a sour, refreshing hint of petrichor. It might not impress on paper, but on skin it truly shines. On me, it even develops a clean, airy quality that I really enjoy.

Earthy and mossy unisex cologne, smells like a forest after the rain in autumn, full of fallen damp leaves. I would opt for it for a casual night out like a concert, festival or techno nightclub with friends in summer. This is the second fragrance from the house that I like (after Ennui Noir which is like Fucking Fabulous but with added heliothrope), curious to discover more.

This is the smell of rain, freshness, and clean air. It's got decent longevity and gives me a mood boost every once in a while when I manage to (suddenly) hear the notes among all the other smells around me. I got this on a great sale, and objectively, it's too expensive for me - but it's still worth every single penny.

It smells like a demonic gin tonic left in the rain on a forest floor. I love it, true rain lovers get your fix!

Initial smell is a realistic replica of a damp forest floor. Not classically good smelling but conjures vivid memories of time after rain. If that smell sounds appealing, try this out! Dry down is beautiful. A slight citrus, wood, amber aroma that slightly retains its watery quality from the top notes. Much more easy to enjoy in dry down. Overall it’s a unique scent and a ton of fun to wear. It changes nicely and the realistic nature of its opening makes it not mass appealing but very enjoyable if the memory of rain has a place in your mind already

I go back and forth between the “rain” and the “fog” series. I’m probably more fog than rain. They’re all unique-ish. I’m not sure there is a need for 3 in each series. I prefer the darker ones in each.

Same type of combination than the others of the Pioggia's serie, but with a well pronounced lemon (another of the house's favorite notes). So, it's still a mostly aquatic scent veiled by woodiness, but the pine balances the whole thing very very well and allows the citrus to stand out while being refreshing. More wearable than the others, in my opinion, even if still a little too "soapy" for my taste. Quite sweet, anyway, much more than the others of the set.

Reminds me of a headache inducing laundry detergent. Synthetic and cold. Complete opposite of some other Filippo Sorcinelli scents like Reliqvia and Lavs that are warm and natural.

I have no idea how y'all are getting petrichor out of this when it just smells like soap?! Ocean-scented soap. Soapy soap soap. SOAP.

One of my few non-incense Sorcinelli fragrances, easy to wear. The rainy atmosphere is certainly there, photorealistic & beautiful. It meets the citruses & the green-ness of pine. It has some sweetness. The woody undertones add depth. It's like rain falling on the greens, while on a leisurely day. To me it's more of a leisure scent & it's quite unique. A straight up bar of dove soap at the beginning. Maybe it’s an ash/lye type of smell? maybe it’s the musk & resins? underneath it is a beautiful pile of wet leaves after a late summer/early autumn rain. A fallen log, still damp, warmed by the first lick of radiant sun through the canopy
