I agree this is not a sweet or gourmand vanilla like the last reviewer stated and that's ok by me. I have never smelled burberry goddess to compare this to but this is an excellent fragrance. The vanilla nectar almost makes the scent note seem a bit floral-y to me, some could describe it as "spicy." I am very impressed with this fragrance. Finery had me worried for a second when I smelled the other ones two first and WoW do they smell awful. But this sure made up for it. Elegant is a good word for it. As the economy gets worse this is turning into an above average price point. People want to people able to afford their one and a back up. When finery first came out that was a possibility and now it's not for most people. So I can't say the price is "unbeatable" but it is better then bbw and ulta fragrance price points that a lot of people can't afford so kudos to finery for that.

This is so nice! To me it smells pretty similar to Rare EDP, with a very slight hint of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, maybe because that's the only fragrance with a prominent orchid note that I'm familiar with. Rare EDP is considered by many to be a Goddess dupe but I personally don't find them all that similar, and with this smelling so similar to Rare EDP, I also don't think Athena is THAT reminiscent of Goddess. They're both similar for sure, but they lack the strong lavender note. As someone who loves Rare EDP I'm really happy with this! It lasts longer on my skin than Rare (which is not saying much) but I'll have to wear it for a day to see if it can create the same long lasting scent bubble I get from Rare being on clothes. Edit: Unfortunately the scent bubble isn't nearly as long lasting as Rare, but for the price I can't complain. Still a very solid offering from Fine'ry

Banger is correct. This is the winner of the newest finery fragrances imo. It's now my number one top finery. It definitely makes me what to smell Angham. It's not buttery to me and I can also smell the "spicy" note that is almost too much but is just enough. I wouldn't say it's finery's strongest because one of their other ones that is a floral (not sure which one atm, I will add that back into my review when I remember) is a very loud floral that I would not wear. I really love this one.

Fine'ry's best dupe yet, and I suspect it'll go viral! It's far closer to Angham and BBW's Vanilla Ease than it is to Goddess, although it has better projection than Angham based on my wearing experiences. Much like Angham, the florals are dialed down and the vanilla is dialed up. Athena is also quite strong compared to Fine'ry's other offerings. So, if you're seeking a Goddess-like scent profile on a budget, this is an excellent (and clean, even!) alternative. :)

Ugh SOOOOO amazing. Meant to be a dupe of goddess- but to me, goddess has a sharpness that I simply don't enjoy or connect with, but I love the scent over all. This one completely misses that sharpness! It's a smooth, sexy, warm, slightly spicy, complex vanilla with a touch of florals. I love it so freaking much. Top 3 Fine'ry in my opinion!

One of my FAVORITE Fine'ry scents so far. Despite Vanilla note on top of Vanilla note.. Its not overwhelming or cloying. More spicy and Floral. There is sweetness to this, but in a 'fruitier' sweet on the dry down. Maybe from the nectar? Regardless its AMAZING. Could not recommend it more

Supposedly a dupe for Burberry Goddess, but I like this 10x more than BG! The lavender in BG throws me off- Athena has much more vanilla. It’s everything I wanted BG to be for a fraction of the price!

I know this is supposed to be a dupe for Burberry Goddess, but I don't get that at all. Goddess is much more lavender and floral than Athena. To me, this smells exactly like Rare by Rare Beauty, and almost exactly like the drydown of Wanderlove by Carmindy (except sweeter). A very sweet, buttery, and slightly salty seawater-like vanilla that's definitely pleasant, but overall kind of boring? Generic. It's not your edible gourmand vanilla, but more like a vanilla candle you could find at Walmart for $5. The longevity and projection have a body mist quality, though probably good for layering. Don't expect anything outstanding or memorable, but likeable enough and worth it for the price. Layered it with another fragrance from the Fine'ry line, Fireside Vanille, and it gives it more of a uniqueness. Cozy, smoky, sweet vanilla. However, I did end up returning this (as well as Fireside Vanille) as it's too similar to a fragrance I already own (see above) and I find that it lacks complexity.

Really love this! I have smelled Goddess, but don’t own a body myself, but I do think this has a very similar vibe from my recollection. Although no florals are listed in the notes, this definitely does have a touch of florals and a spiciness that add a really lovely complexity. Not a vanilla I would describe as gourmand at all personally. There is something very *designer* about this fragrance to my nose — but I say that not in a bad way at all, I actually really like that about it. I think it’s an incredibly likable and wearable scent for lots of folks! I do wish the longevity was better though. I have the EDP and it fades pretty significantly within an hour or two.

I’m a gourmand vanilla lover who was looking for a change. This was really nice middle ground. The scent opens up floral and fresh/clean but dries down powdery with that vanilla vibe. Despite the description, it is not vanilla forward. I love layering it with my stronger vanilla scented perfumes just to pretty them up and bring out that vanilla power even more. Layering with this scent is essential to customize the type of vanilla you want. I didn’t realize this was a Burberry Goddess dupe until reading reviews, they don’t smell the same to me. I prefer this one MUCH more, it’s not even a question.

Comforting. I love wearing this on a rainy day and going grocery shopping. I also decanted it for a 4 day trip to California. It cheers you up with the blended nectary vanilla. I can't smell it on me after a couple hours, though.

this smells like if burberry goddess shopped at forever 21 and used to own a rose gold iphone 8. overall, i do really love it. doesn't last as long as goddess but i wasn't expecting her to.

I can see why people say this is a dupe for Burberry goddess but in my opinion Burberry goddess is more sharp and almost woody. It is my current "date night" perfume. Athena is more fruity and light, i also get a little bit of a bubble gum scents. It reminds me of something I used to wear during high school, Fantasy by Britney maybe? Longevity is good , specially on clothes. Edit: definitely not Britney but it is not goddess either. Lovely either way

I agree with other reviewers that although this is reminiscent of Burberry Goddess, it is much smoother and thus, more enjoyable. I think the lavender and ginger in Goddess make it too sharp for my nose. Athena is definitely not a gourmand, overly sweet vanilla. It has a bit of spice that really warms it up and makes it very elegant in my opinion. The price is just unbeatable. I think it would be nice when layered with Vanilla Ease by Bath & Body Works.

Just left target from smelling this. A banger! Goddess/Angham with the lavender toned all the way down and the vanilla is UP! Somewhat richer “buttery” vanilla! Better than the OGs to me! 10/10

this is more mature. the vanilla makes the florals creamy but it's not the star of the show. it's very balanced

A nice, floral scent in the opening that dries down to a milkier scent. Relatively inoffensive.
