Volcanic Flowers

A fragrance with a rich and complex structure, evoking the last eruption of Mount Fuji 300 years ago... Top Notes: Patchouli, Coffee, Amber, Lavender Secondary Notes: Jasmine, Cardamom, Ginger, Cocoa, Cedar, Nutmeg Subtle Notes: Hazelnut, Lily of the Valley It's the scent of a mineral soil of manganese, iron oxide, silicate and magnesium. The scent of cooled lava in which flowers grow. From the first spray, its opening of smoky ash and Patchouli is very powerful. Followed by Amber and Lavender. And although it hints at white flowers, I struggle to detect them. It's a warm/cool ember floral. Its evolution takes on a "barbershop" feel, almost fern-like. A dense fragrance, sheathed in molten black rock and lava stone, draped in mystery. A glowing heart where incandescent incense makes swirls of nutmeg and cardamom dance. It's a smoky floral patchouli, an olfactory enigma for pyromaniac poets.

It's like you splashed your flower perfume on hot stones and it sizzles and goes up in aromatic fumes, tingling your nostrils. Now I get why it's volcanic flowers. I thought it will be dry and clary-sagy, but it's sweet, and tingling, and incense-like, a bit smoky-woody. I imagine myself wearing a gorgeous tailored suit, but in some vivid warm deep colours, like brown&orange. The scent becomes dryer (less sweet) over time, cedar appears, but not to the point of stiffness. Compared to Floraiku "And your lips" this one is much more complicated. I like complicated. And it's spicy and aromatic, reminding me of Clive Christian Matsukita with its pepper, nutmeg and wood notes.

This is my second time. I am much more impressed the second time around than I was the first. Perhaps because I am wearing it at night. It is a really complicated fragrance and that is the beauty of it. The spice is in your face but every once in awhile you can smell the jasmine and that takes it over the edge for me. It's very seductive. It's 5 PM in San Francisco. Right now I feel like the sexiest person in the world.

Addicting. As someone who finds spicy fragrances overwhelming, this sits at my perfect level. Has so much depth and a cologne like freshness but slightly gourmand. This is gorgeous for fall winter. On my list for next purchase.

Very complicated. Smells a lot like Sauvage Elixir to me. But a bit smokies and more natural. Beastly in a bad way, to me. Too strong. Nice smell though. Too gourmandy with the chocolate and coffee.

Remind me a bit Intoxicated from killian.. a complex fragrance, not like the name, the scent is not floral centric..its a spicy ambery gourmandish fragrance..

This has a very ashy, smokey opening, which is actually really nice, but it is very loud! After a short while it softens to a more woody, spicy, chocolatey mid ground but on me it is still very masculine. The scent pretty much fixes there tbh, I'm not really getting any kind of specific base notes shining through late in the day. In honesty, this one is just too male leaning for me, but it is a gorgeous scent! If you love your winter smokies, this one may be perfect for you!

It has a very charcoal flowery opening, after a couple minutes it dries down into an almost vanilla scent even though it doesn’t have vanilla. I saw a couple reviewers say it’s a more masculine leaning fragrance but to me it’s very clearly feminine leaning since i get that sweet flowery almost vanilla note from it. But nice.

Testing my sample; opens like peppery, green, smoked coffee beans, gets sweeter as it mingles with my body chemistry but still retains its spiciness. It's not a stifling spicy on my skin, but very noticeable. Cool/cold weather, sits at arms' length.

As a lover of spices and owner of only two Floriku, I am no expert at all. Still my nose needs to try this because the name was so pretty. It’s got a chocolate patchouli soul. Sadly there are too many notes fighting here. It’s like it doesn’t know what it is! Spicy, medicinal, dirty and yet like a hospital on the opening with the sharp smell of sterile fluid that stains your skin yellow. I believe it will be a divider and “polarising”, as a fan of both gourmand, spicy, leather and floral perfumes I found this rather schizophrenic! That said it is interesting, not an easy wear but a challenge. If you are happy to spend £270 on a challenge you are winning at life, but for me there are much better spicy, etc perfumes out there. The bottle is gorgeous. The name divine. The fragrance is ok.

There's a bright zippy gingerbread feel here, without being cakey or foody, but there are also spiky woods that make it too sharp and loud on me. I just can't wear the superamber/spiky wood aromachemicals at all.

To throw my two cents in, this smells more like Intoxicated than Chypre shot. I dislike Intoxicated and rather enjoy Chypre shot so for me, I wouldn’t personally wear again.
