Pannaco Tahaa

Pannaco Tahaa opens with a bright mango note, with a dash of orange and already touched by vanilla. Then it evolves into a smooth and gentle pannacotta accord, almost silky, with light vanillic undertones. The latter vanilla bridges into the Tahitian vanilla extract in the base, further enhancing the creaminess of the composition. Tonka, benzoin and saffron combine to create a gourmand backbone, perfectly enhancing the previous notes, and expanding the scent's enveloping nature. Lastly, a clean white musk perfectly ties around the blend, setting it in place. Overall it feels really fruity at first, with that mango coming out as juicy and borderline green. It even manages to replicate that slight bitter green nuance of an unripe mango. Despite being described as a top note, the mango impression lasts throughout most of the scent's life, changing with time... When the heart starts to come out, it's almost as if the mango ripens a bit, becomes smoother, more mellow, developing into a pannacotta silkiness... It still has a lightness to it, but becomes more gooey. Then the base starts to come through, and that Tahitian vanilla extract, combined with the tonka, benzoin and saffron, really makes the mango feel completely ripe! It's like it finally hits its full apex of development, becoming fully fruity, sweet, smooth, enticing and almost carnal... The white musk acts almost like a soft glaze that puts the perfect final touch to the scent... Sometimes it even feels like there's a glimmer of incense somewhere, though that's probably the darker facets of the vanilla extract mixed with the other base notes. In the end, Pannaco Tahaa was a delightful surprise for me! It's a mango scent that matures from fruit to dessert, to a fantastic gourmand experience! I'm loving my time with it!🤗🧡🥭

I finally found a mango scent that I love, and I have tried them all (God of Fire, Cruz del Sur II, Fame, Carioca Hearts, Sunsplosion, City Rhythm, etc). I pretty much gave up on mango as most of the mango notes I have come across are too sweet and synthetic. Growing up around mangoes I can assure you that mangoes are not always pretty and sweet - they are fairly indolic, pungent, and earthy depending on the variety; some smell better than others. Pannaco Tahaa manages to accurately capture the scent of mangoes- more specifically unripe green mangoes - sweet, raw, earthy and slightly acidic. The mango in PT definitely isn't the juvenile, sugary-sweet, tropical cocktail style mango which I suspect most blind buyers were expecting (hence the reviews). The mango is raw and acidic. The sweetness of the vanilla and panacotta balance the mango out gorgeously. I think it was genius of Sarah Burri to curate a more green and earthy mango note as this blend would have been stomach churningly sweet if sweeter mango variety/note was utilized. The final dry down is a gorgeous creamy, green tropical-vanilla. The longevity also deserves a nod as it is becoming harder and harder to come across fragrances that actually last. This should be rated much, much higher.100% worth sampling, and even blind buying if you want an acidic and sweet photorealistic mango fragrance.

So the opening is strong and there is a spiciness that can throw you off. This is a green mango and you do get the orange and the vanilla and the saffron and spices can be a bit much if you out your nose to skin a bit much but if you let the village just do its thing and give it time and let it sit. And give it say an hour it becomes creamy and I can really smell that panna cotta take over and the fruits start to become smoother with the vanilla and it all becomes more at one and it’s becomes more creamy and fruity and balanced and just a hint of spicy. They dry down is where this fragrance is at so past the 2-3 hour mark and as its BEAST MODE and I mean beast you can still smell it on your skin the next day is when is all starts to blend and become more creamy and well balanced it’s the beginning that it is a bit off and green mango meets overwhelming spice. But it’s the dry down th at something great happens. And so I have sprayed it a few times left the cap off in hopes the vanilla notes and panna cotta notes in this will mature and become even more beautiful quicker.

At this point, Pannaco Tahaa is my favorite summer fragrance of all time. Bar none. It opens with a Big, tart, juicy, sugary sweet mango. The orange is definitely there to uplift the brightness and juicy aspect— it blends right in rather than being detectable as “orange” and helps the mango truly shine in the opening. Mouthwatering. Over the next 30-45 minutes the saffron becomes more present, adding a soft, floral spice. The sweetness from the beginning grows and becomes distinctly vanilla’s. It’s mango milkshake; with the benzoin, tonka, and white musk adding just enough depth and back bone to give grown and sultry. It’s perfect, strong projection and longevity and a perfect gourmand for high heat. 🥭🥛🍦🍊🍨🍮🥭 Bonus: I layered this beauty with Profumum Roma’s Gioisa on a recent, 75F summer evening. My fiancé couldn’t pry his face off of me for at least 10 minutes. His words, “You smell, Divine”.

The opening is full of bright citrus with a soft sweetness in the background. After a few minutes something really beautiful starts to come through. I think it's the pannacotta with the orange and maybe a touch of mango, but to be honest, I don't get a strong mango note. What stands out to me is the creamy bakery-like feeling. Vanilla, tonka, orange /mango and the pannacotta create a soft gourmand scent, but it never feels overly sweet or sticky. If anything, it feels like a dry gourmand. I think the saffron might be stopping it from becoming too sugary, but I'm not completely sure. Everything feels smooth, calm and really well blended. It's comforting without being heavy, and I keep wanting to smell my wrist. This is absolutely beautiful. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
