Opens quite fresh and woody. The citrus plus pepper on top is crisp, combining with the woody note making the opening very proper and poised. Then it took an interesting turn. The uplifting facet turns into a soft and warm cashmere scent, like a wooly comforter on a cold day or a warm hug from an old friend. It isn't listed in the note but there is also this powdery note here that is very quiet but oh so pretty. This is my first from the brand FOOPE. I must say that it did not disappoint.

Part of a subscription recommendation based on the musk and amber notes. This lands somewhere in the middle for me. I like the scent on its own, but it doesn't suit my preferences enough for it to be something I wear all day. I've taken to spraying the sample I have as a room fragrance.

I don't understand how sometimes perfumes are reported as 'discontinued' but you can still buy them on the perfumer's website. Or are they in limited supply? Have suggested similarity to Zadig and Voltaire This is Him which is also woody with grapefruit and black pepper top notes and amber in the base, except I think this is less cloying and more artful/sophisticated with a lighter vanilla base.
