Decadence

I had the opportunity to shop FSW’s brick-and-mortar store and sample many of their fragrances recently and this was the one that came home with me. I was immediately impressed by its duality, as it feels like the perfect combination of dark, masculine spice and sultry femininity. It’s cozy, sexy and smoky; almost like Jazz Club but softer. My partner says that I smell like tobacco and cinnamon when I wear this. Lasts ages, of course, because it’s oil-based. This one will definitely be folded into my regular rotation.

‘Perfume for a baguette’ or ‘Farmers market gourmand’. Smells like really good olive oil, honey & a little citrus. Decadent is an accurate name. I don’t typically love rose, tobacco, or citrus fragrances & I probably wouldn’t had bothered with this one - however I’ve loved everything else by this house so I went ahead & got a sample & used it up almost immediately, it’s so delicious.

Agree with a previous review on here. Definitely giving farmer's market gourmand. This reminds me of dipping a homebaked foccacia bread on a decadent (lol) mix of some good quality olive oil and whatever herbs and spices the chef added in. Dries down to smelling more resinous/waxy. If I ever go on a holiday in Mediterranean Europe, this would be the perfume to take with me. For now, Decadence imo is a really unique take on the whole Amalfi coast aesthetic.

Mmm, nasty whorehouse in some tacky bodice-ripping Victorian-era melodrama. I was very excited for this one and it did not disappoint. Tobacco, vanilla, booze, amber and myrrh come through the strongest and stick to you like a cumstain on a velvet pillow. This perfume is impressively strong, it lasts the longest of all the FSW scents I've tried, esp on clothing. This fragrance is sex, sex, sex on me. Overwhelmingly so. I only wear it when I reenact or put on my leather and go cruising. It pulls very vanilla/sweet/gourmand on me after a few hours (an issue I have with nearly any fragrance) and almost goes rancid, a banquet of foreign and expensive pastries left to the flies as the partygoers begin to eat each other instead. Perhaps this would come off not so strong worn on a woman, though I can't imagine anyone pulling this off as a daytime scent. Very complex, most of the notes trade places and seamlessly blend in to each other through the wear, though I wish I could pick up a bit more of the blood orange freshness. Also, I appreciate that all of the listed notes were existent and popular in fragrances in the Victorian era. If anything FSW deserves recognition for doing their research and creating what might be one of the most accurate impressions of the scent of the era, especially considering that they don't use synthetic fragrances. I reenact a few eras throughout the 19th century and constantly recommend this scent to other reenactors.

I don’t typically go for these notes but this is a very sexy witch musk, something I imagine the girlies from charmed would wear. It’s giving 90’s witch apothecary in the best way. I originally ordered samples from this brand to try London Fog (all the samples were hits) but decadence was the one I was most struck with.
