Fleur D'oranger Intense

I was able to visit the Fragonard House in Grasse where I smelled this for the first time. I have only visited Europe in the summertime and this summer was spent in Provence. The previous summers in southern Italy, the Isle of Capri and the south of Spain and Morroco. This fragrance smacks you in the face initially ( its a good smack though.LOL) I don't know if orange blossoms grow in all these places but the fragrance takes me back to those destinations every time. It is such a bright pretty fragrance. For me, the intensity translates to a more pronounced orange and longer lasting product. It does not scream at you, or overpower you as the "intense" description may imply. After its initial blooming it starts to glow with warmth and the softness as the flowers come through. It doesn't lose its orange smell, its still there, recognizable but no longer as prominent as in the opening. I love that it lasted on me all day. And as the day wore on it got softer, more cozy, but I could still recognize the orange and the flowers. I live in Southern California so I will wear this fragrance throughout the year, but for the rest of the country that has winter and fall, I think it would serve as a pick me up during dreary days. I find this much more floral and not sweet or spicy. It's not cloying. I would wear this anytime and anywhere, casually, formally, morning or night. You know we wear perfume to match a mood, or an outfit or an event; to me, the fragrance speaks to my personality, so whatever I am wearing or doing this fragrance is suitable. It is bright, fresh, cheerful, mature, unpretentious, and transitions from lovely to cozy as you wear it. There are a lot of orange blossom perfumes out there but this from Fragonard is quality all the way.

What a lovely and robust, true to life orange blossom perfume! I can smell the scent of these beautiful and dainty flowers wafting into my nose, making me think of an orange grove in Spain or Italy. I can also smell the white flowers in the top notes followed by the bergamot, the mandarin orange and the jasmine in the heart notes. I don't really smell the base notes, but I guess this is what is giving this perfume its longevity and making it last longer than the eau de toilette, which I own I have not smelled yet. I can smell overall a very fresh, clean and slightly citrusy orange blossom perfume that's non-indolic and very wearable, even in the office if sprayed with a light hand. It leans almost moderately feminine to me but I could imagine a very confident male wearing this too. This lasts for about 5 and a half to 6 hours on my skin and it has moderate projection. I could imagine wearing it almost anywhere during the day and it makes me think of sunshine and the late spring and also summer. I love this!

This goes on strong. I had two sprays, and driving in the car, felt like it was Death by Orange Blossoms. I was quite ill. The good news is that within an hour it was medium strength, and I was able to really enjoy it. Overall, its lifespan is 4 hours. Ooooh, Fragonard is good at what they do... Gorgeous!! Very exhuberant and radiant. Very citric. An intensely happy fragrance. Youthful. White. Light (in character, not strength) and the kind of thing a virginal, joyful bride would wear. It creates the "sense" of being pure orange blossom. Though I would not say that is the only note. Clearly, there are some citruses going on - bergamot and mandarin are the ones listed. Neroli, jasmine, white flowers too. There is a green quality. While suitable for day, I actually wore it at night. It's very becoming. Very suitable anywhere (as long as you don't overspray).

I received a sample of this today with my order from Fragonard. I normally hate when flowers like gardenias, tuberose, and orange blossoms, are heavily in a fragrance as they can come off as oppressive, as opposed to lighter, airier florals like honeysuckle, rose, and mock orange, all of which I grow in my garden. But this is really beautiful interpretation of an orange blossom fragrance that is a clean and a little soapy. It makes me think of fine French milled soap. It is very strong, and I can still smell it several hours later after only one testing spritz so it is a must to go easy with this scent. It is really beautiful and elegant, and I think more appropriate for winter evenings, simple because how strong it is. I can't see myself wearing a scent like this on a summer day as it might become too cloying and oppressive.

1 spray in the back of the neck or knee caps in the dead of summer is all one needs. If you live in a warm tropical climate like Fl, and love orange, this is perfect. For every 1 ml, you get 10 sprays, 50 ML's of this lovely crafted EDP is 500 sprays. Excellent deal IMO. I like this better than many of my designer fragrances which are double the price. If you can't travel to Grasse, France, go to fragonoid's website and take a digital tour, see the craftmanship they put into their products. Operating since 1926, it's impressive how beautiful but simplistic this scent is. The Tangerine was the heaviest blast before the dry down when I could smell the musk and sandalwood. Just lovely. 💘 I wish Fragonard did a version of : Pear Lemon Strawberry (If possible) toilette.

After sampling this I bought a bottle, and either they tweaked the formula a little or the sample towelette I had was super-concentrated, but it is not the same which is not a bad thing. The perfume from the sample was so strong it verged on cloying. Whatever was in there before that made it that way is now gone, though it doesn't seem to have changed how it smells or how long it lasts. I'm still getting beautiful wafts of soapy orange blossoms all day. I think it might now be wearable in hot weather too, which I couldn't imagine before when I tested it. I happen to love soapy fragrances, and this has to be one of the best interpretations of a French milled soap I've ever smelled. Just love it! Edit - The neroli comes on strong in the heat.

This is an exceptionally high end and wonderful orange blossom. It smells incredibly natural, an amazing silage and longevity and in my opinion as good as a floral Serge Lutens. I got to know it because my neighbor wears it, so my experience is from smelling it on someone else.

On my skin it’s very powdery. The opening is very bright and soft. Someone commented that it smells like caramel. For the price it’s definitely worth it, a very simple and classic orange blossom that is very suitable for spring and summer

this is like a filled-out and very long-lasting version of the EDT. the blossoms are rich (bonus white flowers) but the scent is so clean, and the cleanliness doesn't grow painful. lovin' it

This is the king of all orange blossoms out there. It's beyond perfection. Reminds me a lot of the fresh orange blossom perfumes sold in Fes. Morocco, at a cheap price.

One of my favorites and a must wear for spring and early summer. Beautifully floral scent that is tempered with green notes for a perfect balance.

I was fully expecting to dislike this as I’m not a big orange blossom fan, and especially since my husband hates that note. One of the reasons I don’t like Orange Blossom is that it usually goes into a soap or household cleaner direction, but this doesn’t do that on my skin. It’s a natural scent, bypassing any synthetic expressions. The only other notes I detect are jasmine and sandalwood. The breakdown would be something like: 50% orange blossom, 40% jasmine,10% sandalwood. What you get in the opening is what you get in the drydown, that’s never been a deal breaker for me, especially if I like the opening. Intense is the appropriate adjective; I think this might be too strong in heat. But on a mild, late summer day it’s kinda perfect. My sample was an unsolicited “towelette” with purchase. I don’t see myself running out to buy a full bottle as I have a large collection, but this is an above average perfume. If you’re a white flower or orange blossom fan, you should try it. Edit: so it’s official, my husband hates this scent. He came into the room that had the towelette drying — I had forgotten it was still in the room — and indeed it was headache inducing for him and me. Intense lives up to its name, a small spray would be better.

This perfume really reminds me of Oranzo by Sylvanne Delacourte. But it is a lot muskier in the dry down than that one and less icy cold orange blossom. There is a warmth here that is lacking in Oranzo. Very heavy white floral here that is Intense and strong. One spray maybe two would suffice. I like this quite a lot, but my husband is really fussy about orange blossom and this one is way too strong for him. It reminds me a bit of my bottle of Goutal's Chat Perche as well, probably the musk more than anything else. The musk's used in both are very similar that makes both of these perfumes so feminine and pretty. Like the best types of French milled soaps. If you like Orange blossom combined w/ various spring white florals that remind you of all the flowering trees of spring at full peak bloom this is a good pick up and Fragonard puts out a good product at a very reasonable price. It is also a good substitute for the much more expensive Oranzo.

Bright, easy and sparkling white flower with citrus. It's a very easy one and also smells natural, perfect for a spring day or summer night. I know what this scent reminds me of. It is very much like the white acacia (Black locust) flowers I remember from my youth. One spritz takes me back to the white acacia hills in full bloom I used to visit as a child during the month of May. It is stunning and evocative for me. A big love. [EDIT] I enjoy this a lot but wish it was just a tiny bit rounder and softer. The initial citrus greenness is on the sharper side - fresh for sure, but personally I just wish it was a bit tempered down.

A lot of people could wear this. It's the kind of scent that would smell flattering emanating from anyone's sun-warm bosom, really. Creamy white flowers, breezy, non-bubblegummy and somewhat dry rather than sweet. The drydown evokes something that is a liiiiittle bit reminiscent of mosquito spray but this might be down to me smelling a doused piece of tissue (Fragonard is a house that seems to provide most of its samples in this form).

Fleur d'Oranger Intense by Fragonard offers a lovely take on orange blossom, perfectly balanced. Not too sweet nor too "babyish", it has a refined honeyed sweetness that's very pleasant. All of this at a very affordable price, and the bottle is really beautiful, adding an aesthetic touch to the whole. Excellent value for money, and to top it off, my husband liked it, which is rare enough to be noted!

Nice orange blossom soliflore. Truly a soliflore, very simple, not complex at all. It's a lovely and high-quality orange blossom. This leans a little soapy, but it's a very pure fragrance if you love the blossom as I do.

My new love, it was given as a giveaway by a kind lady. Light, slightly bitter with orange blossom and herbal notes. Beautiful, fresh and sophisticated, average longevity, bottle is stunning. Very recommended.

It is what it says it is. Orange blossom intense. Pretty linear although it turns a bit soapy later.

Did not realize I paid a small fortune...$95...for a 50ml bottle of Fleur D'oranger Intense. I thought I purchased a 100ml bottle of this orange blossom Fragonard perfume at this price-point. Although the price may seem like a bargain, given the cost of many niche perfumes of similar design, I feel the perfume is over-priced for what it is. Not much to say. Nice enough, I suppose. A rather straight-forward, linear, orange blossom fragrance with moderately strong, pungent neroli and white floral underpinnings. Some musk & sandalwood in the base. The base doesn't develop for at least one hour after application. Silage is moderate. Perfume seems to last for several hours (4+) after applying. A rather unforgettable offering in a vast sea of orange-blossom, floral, wood fragrances.

I had high hopes for this but it did let me down but let me explain. It comes off sweeter & more orange juice than true orange flower. It’s sweet and not as fresh clean smelling as I’d hoped. It does last more then most of this scent but since I don’t really like the final scent it does me no good. I thought I could layer it with other scents but the part of the scent I don’t like just shines though......the sweet orange juice smell and not the flower.

Smells exactly like orange flowers somewhere in the Mediterranean I generally like orange blossom in perfumes and I blind bought it but unfortunately, I couldn't stand it. Way too loud on me and I noticed that it's a very linear smell: I don't get any other notes and it's something I don't like with this one. Maybe I should have ordered an EDT version

There is a wet sponge hint of smell to this that is off putting to my nose. Possibly because it gives me a turned orange smell. I worked in Orange Julius as a young teenager and know that bad orange juice smell very well. I like other Orange Blossom perfumes more like Jo Malone.

Too strong for me I am afraid. I had tried the EDT and liked it, but bought the intense instead. I find this version rather sickly and overpowering. It reminds me of a heavily scented soap. Shame I bought the wrong one.

Bright at first, then immediately collapses into that Diptyque Eau des Sens waxy neroli cold cream smell I do not like. Humid, lotiony, bitter, and white musk fuzzy.

I’ve been searching for a bright but not overpowering orange blossom perfume for a long time now. I have Prada Infusions De Fleurs Orangeur and JM orange blossom. They are both nice but a bit subdued and powdery. This on the other hand is exactly like true orange blossoms- heady and zingy but not migraine inducing. I get a really summery feeling when I smell this, like sitting in a garden surrounded by crisp, green leaves and sweet flowers of blooming orange trees in early summer. I can almost feel the bees buzzing round me. There is not really any progression except that the notes gradually become less intense, smoothing off to a more gentle and perhaps soapy ending (which I love). It has a very good sillage - a little goes a long way and it lasts ages. I would say it leans feminine.

quite similar to the EDT, though in the intense there's a fuller floral smell with some honey sweetness to balance it out. I'd say the EDP is a little more mature version of the light, fresh EDT. I really love the sweetness of this one, and i think the honey makes it a little less harsh and cloying in hot weather than the EDT. Both scents seem bordering a bit too mature for me, so i don't wear them too often (mostly I blame my mother for this- she got a hold of one of my bottles and now its her go-to scent). However I've got sample sizes of both now and like them enough that they won't be re-gifted.

DO NOT purchase fleur d'oranger intense. The company has removed ingredients and added an unbelievable amount of alcohol. When you put this on, it will literally burn the skin in the entire area and you will be red and itch with scabs for days. I contacted Fragonard and they deny having done this, ofcourse. The scent has changed to a cheap watered down version of its original self. At first I thought that I may have developed new allergies to fragrances, BUT I wear about 20 other different scents and this NEVER happens.

È un profumo radioso, fresco e pulito. I fiori di arancio si sentono distintamente e sono ben armonizzati al limone ed al gelsomino. Nel complesso la fragranza potrebbe ricordare un po' il the verde, ma molto lontanamente. La trovo unisex e perfetta per l'estate. La persistenza è buona, dato che su di me dura circa 4 h. Consiglio di abbinarla ad una crema corpo ai fiori d'arancio per un effetto più duraturo e avvolgente.

If you spent any time in the Mediterranean, orange blossom scent is a core memory, and this is all of its fragrant molecules. You don't need anything else in there. I bought it in the Fragonard factory in Grasse and I will forever associate it with its bright yellow walls. This is incredible value for money and an olfactory joy.

I got Fleur d'Oranger Intense as a longer lasting substitute to Fleur d'Oranger (a favorite), but it doesn't smell the same on me as the original. The original is sweeter with the honey base notes. Intense injects Sandalwood which makes it less sweet and more woodsy. Intense is lovely but still prefer the original.

Naturalistic soliflore - I consider a reference fragrance for orange blossom. After getting a bottle of this, I can now pick out orange blossom where it appears on other fragrances blended with other notes. This one from Fragonard clean, simple, lovely. Pretty good longevity. Love it for a hot summer day.

Like the EDT so much and decide to give this one a try. It's SO MUCH better, deeper, more sensuous. I feel sexy and naive the same time wearing this baby. Doesn't give me headache which usually happen with many perfume in the market. Suit for hot and humid summer and cold winter, too. I'm in love.
