Fleur d'oranger

This was the one that hit my brain while approaching Fragonard shop in Grasse! Well, Fragonard has a determined marketing attitude to say the least. You see the yellow boards everywhere and even a little train going around the lovely town taking tourist around! While getting closer to their shop I was overwelmed with a lovely hypnotic smell that lingered in air! OMG! I immediately knew it was orange blossom as it is one of my favourite floral note together with jasmine and rose! Orange blossom in itself is a very uplifting, nerve-calming and anti-depressant note! It can be too pungent at time but in this case it is so lovely blended with thicker notes like honey (not too much or cloying!) and a soft musk base. Simple and simply enchanting! You could smell Fleur d'Oranger sprayed high on top of the street from nozzles place on a high metal bar! I'm happy that Fleur d'Oranger provided a common point of agreement between my BF and me! We usually don't like same fragrances! I would dip into a vat of oriental amber and he would shower with citruses! I will always match Fleur d'Oranger with my beautiful sunny trip to Grasse with BF wearing only a short summer dress and a big hat! Freedom! That's why I say Fragonard went quite hard on olfactive marketing, more than its competitors Galimard and Molinard, who also make lovely scents with a less commercial vibe! The Fragonard shop was packed with customers from all over the world! Oh, and it was such a beautiful shop full of bottles of any kind and a museum! Fleur d'oranger is what I tried to find in L'Artisan La chasse aux papillons. Less pungent and more mellow, not complicated but present. The staying power is average but sillage is not very big. EDIT: this fragrance is heaven for me and lift my mood up! But... I got quite a few negative feedback, mainly from the oldies of my family, which are not really perfume fan in general. My mother says it smells too strong and synthetical! I wear only 2-3 spray at time. Other told me it smells like floor detergent with bleach!

Most of the time I associate orange blossom with food. The association with perfume is, strangely, secondary. Maroccan mint tea, crêpes, pancakes, cheesecake, madeleines. It compliments almonds and raisins, lightens vanilla, caramel and rum. Combined correctly, it takes most desserts from tasty to enchanting, from familiar and reasuring to pure magic. It's easier to work with and has more applications than rose, but as with rose, too much will taste like soap. So I struggle with most orange blossom soliflores since I'm not a gourmand person. Great number of french baby care is perfumed with orange blosssom and musk. I have stumbled upon an article some time ago where one of the Costa sisters, owners of Fragonard, talks how she asked Daniela Andrier for years the permission to edit this one. She created it for herself and her son, when he was just a baby. Even wearing it, without knowing the story of its creation, there is a notion of intimacy, simplicity and wellbeing. The addition of quite large quanitity of neroli brings even more light, lovely green facet and all that musk results in clean soapy accord. Very few of us don't enjoy smelling clean, but some of us want to smell like that as long as possible. This orange blossom is so simple that I welcome it any time. I feel well groomed and cared for without putting a lot of energy in it. Something you do just for yourself. The bottles are functional and affordable. And 600 ml refils are even more so. And Fragonard was doing it before it became fashionable. High quality, affordable, traditional French perfumery.

This was a very beautiful perfume on my skin, but it smelt 90 percent the same as their Fleur D'oranger Intense EDP on my skin. The only difference is that the EDP of course is longer lasting and has a very slight woodiness to it. They're both very realistic smelling orange blossom perfumes which smell white floral, a bit citrusy and a bit indolic. They also both smell fresh and clean on my skin and very feminine. Fleur D'oranger EDT has a slight honeyed smell to it though that the EDP doesn't have on my skin and Fleur D'oranger EDT is a bit sweeter smelling on my skin than Fleur D'oranger Intense. There may be the tiniest bit more of an orange blossom smell in the EDT too. I got moderate projection from this perfume and it lasted about 5 hours on my skin. I feel like it is a very happy and bright perfume and it would be very suitable for during the day in both the spring time and the summer time. I think that this perfume is really good value for money and you can't really go wrong with it. I wouldn't buy it though with Fleur D'oranger Intense already in my perfume wardrobe, since they're both too similar smelling to me. If you have one, you don't really need the other. I'd still give this perfume a 9/10 though. It's a very beautiful fragrance and it's probably one of the top five best orange blossom perfumes out there! It makes me think of the spring or the summer and sitting out in the orange tree orchards in the middle of the day.

So fresh! So clean! I've always loved the scent of real orange blossom, but until this I haven't found a fragrance that captures it faithfully. (The closet I've found has been the Acqua di Fior D'arancio aromatic water by Santa Maria Novella—not a proper fragrance, but still absolutely lovely though more herbal/medicinal leaning). To me, this one is true orange blossom of the most beautiful kind. After wearing it regularly for several weeks, I'm faintly noticing the unique, fleeting honey note (which I didn't detect previously). I find it clears my mind and is also energizing, yet peaceful and calming simultaneously. Incredibly wearable for all occasions—day and night, work and leisure days, the gym, and also great as a bedtime scent. Absolutely unisex. I find longevity to be moderate and sillage to be low to moderate—it has the performance I want from this type of light, fresh scent profile. I was in Paris earlier this summer and sampled this on my wrist in a Fragonard boutique in Montmartre. I tried a few others, but this was the only one that spoke to me. I kept smelling my wrist the rest of the day and knew I had to buy a full bottle, which I ordered first thing when I got back home. Fragonard offers really inexpensive refill bottles—600ml for 75 EUR, which for the quality, can't be beat. This has very quickly become my signature.

Leonardo da Vinci said: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." Somehow simplicity and naturality always wins. Few days ago, I started washing my hands with richly fragrant orange blossom heart shaped soap from Fragonard. Valentine's Day and all that. Entire bathroom smells fabulous, my hands are squeeky clean and not even screaming for hand cream. In the middle of the winter! Anyway, I'm so buying myself a bottle of this. And more soap. If you were wondering, the nose behind it is Daniela Andrier. She did all orange blossom for this house and they have 4 different ones! This one is the thinnest and the closest to the nature. Intense one is close but thicker with some white flowers as a plus and there is Belle d'Arles, not far at all with lovely warm vanilla ambery drydown. The strenght and performance are pretty much in that order. My Oranger, I didn't have the opportunity to try and it will soon be discontinued. If you're looking for a simple orange blossom, Fragonard will probably have what you need.

This is very much just straight up Orange Blossom, but it’s the best quality Orange Blossom you’ve ever smelt in your life. I LOVE THIS. It smells so luxurious. It has a clean soapy vibe to it but there is no musky element in here, which I know turns a lot of people off. It is soapy to me in the sense that I associate this scent with luxurious London Hotels. But there’s no musk in here for me that is aging the fragrance. Anyone 20+ could wear and love this. This would make a great signature scent, as orange blossom is such a distinctive scent that you don’t smell quite as commonly as rose / jasmine for example. It is so beautiful and I think would also be good for layering. It is also very affordable (£32 at M&S in the UK) and it’s just amazing. I picture a woman in a poofy Georgian dress on a swing in an enormous garden, with a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice in her hand.

Orange blossom is one of my favourite notes. If there is a fragrance centered around it, I will try it. I have to say this orange blossom beauty from Fragonard is still my favourite, although I've smelled quite a few by now (Le Labo, Diptique, Penhaligons to name a few). It is simple, elegant, efforless. Not too bitter or soapy, it's just right. Airy but present. It works for any occasion, if in doubt - it is what I reach for in spring/summer. It is an amazing value, performance is very good - it stays closer to skin after a while but I will still smell it on me at the end of the day. I own it and love it. Love Fragonard, so underrated! I want to get the intense version.

I have tried all sorts of orange blossom fragrances to try to find the best straight up true to flower one out there and this is the best of the lot. Other fragrances smell as good as this but they tend to have other notes highlighted more the the orange flower itself, a good example is Jo Malone Orange Blossom. That one has a sharp citrus profile that changes the scent. Other good options that have added notes are Matiere Premiere Neroli Orangier, Le Labo's offering which is very light and fleeting. Eau Des Sens, Green stems and leaves included. And Serge Lutens offering is a heavy heady mix of white florals and spice. Just my observations and opinion of course.

I love this fragrance! It is simply a beautiful neroli! And I love the comforting musk in the background. I barely detect its citrussy note. I love layering it with Fragonard's Vetyver or something citrussy. The lasting power on me is only 3-4 hours... I ordered it after a walk through an orange orchard last spring, while it was in full bloom.... That afternoon I discovered orange blossom fragrance. It was most amazing flowery perfume!!! Sofisticated, heady, in a funny way not "too flowery", but creamy, sumptuous.... I too wished it had a more masculine or fresh base to it... but that's easily accomplished by layering it over another fragrance.

Hands down, the most beautiful, natural, feminine, delicate fragrance I've ever tried / had in my life. You can't get tired of this beauty, this soft gentle orange blossom which embraces you like a white clean light aura. I like to smell it all the time, on my clothes, my sheets, my hair, even my curtains! The most prominent note in here is orange blossom for sure, a bit sweet, without any bitterness, and just a hint of citrus perhaps. The strangest thing is that it's really long-lasting, and doesn't change in tone. My search for the best and truest orange blossom perfume is finally over ^__^

Fd'O ist linear, simple and simply gorgeous!This is - typical for Fragonard - a very pure composition of orange blossom with a hint of citrus (bergamot), very fresh at the beginning and after 10 min slighty sweeter but never cloying. This is just perfect for summer days, office or leisure. What I love most about this scent: there is not even a whiff of artificiality, all you smell are real ingredients. Love it. Generally, I dislike layering scents but this one with a tiny bit of Fragonard's Fleur de Vanille develeops into a rich and tender white flower bouquet. Worth a try.

This Fragonard's Fleur D'Oranger is the closest EDT I found true to the smell of Fleur D'Oranger, lasting and at affordable price. I have orange blossoms in my garden and love it, so I get excited when a perfumer successfully capture the delicate fragrance and able to make it lasting. I smell this on a friend in the first place, I was sold right there and then, it's amazing, this is my first Fragonard frag.. Highly recommended. I've gotten quite a few other Fragonard perfumes since then. Fragonard is a quality French perfume brand with affordable priced fragrances.

Fleur D'oranger is divine. Somehow Fragonard travelled back through time to visit Louis XIV's Orangerie at Versailles and took a fragrant snapshot of the many flowering orange trees and other exotic plants and trees that I imagine were within. A beautifully balanced scent that is neither too sweet nor too sharp, pretty close to perfection in fact! As well as wearing Fleur D'oranger to love and enjoy, I would recommend this as a tonic to anyone feeling stressed, sad or in need of a lift. It has most definitely helped me through some difficult days.

I have never smelt the orange flower. I grew up in the north, and then moved even further up north, and during my short holidays in places more favoured by the sun, I have never had the pleasure to encounter the orange trees in bloom. Fleur d'Oranger by Fragonard smells to me of honey and jasmine. The scent is intoxicating yet fresh, and can become soapy. It's absolutely beautiful. The lasting power is very good, it really lasts all day, although I'm trying it during a cool season, I imagine it might be a little more fleeting in hot weather.

Pure, simple, strong orange blossom. This note is conveyed a non bitter, non synthetic kind of way. What makes this orange blossom so realistic is the abscence of the popular sweet /fruity/ vanilla notes that can, sometimes, make it cloying. There's a slight acidic note instead (citrus fruits), which adds to the freshness without taking center stage. This keeps it very elegant in its simplicity. There might be a hint of honey, but it blends so perfectly that I forget about it. I just get a non harsh, glorious neroli.

One whiff of this transports me back to May 2015 in Nice, when walking outside with my cousin to the Cimetière du Château, and smelling orange blossoms along the way. I became obsessed with that scent. When I went to a Fragonard store in Paris, as soon as I smelled this perfume I bought it on the spot. Needless to say (but I will say it!), I find this a gorgeous realistic orange blossom scent, way better than Jo Malone's take which to me smells nothing like that fresh transcendent air in Nice.

I bought many expensive fragrances in search of a credible orange blossom scent for men, but I've always been disappointed. Nevertheless, I decided to try this one even though it's for women. The scent is absolutely faithful to orange blossoms, which send me into ecstasy every time I pass by them. It's long-lasting and also leaves a beautiful trail. And it costs very little (aside from shipping). Since there isn't a men's fragrance that focuses on orange blossom, I'll use this one.

several years ago i bought some seville orange flower perfume at the cathedral. i never could find it again--guess it was just a small local manufacturer. but i never stopped looking. this is the next best i have ever found. in fact its the best orange flower i've ever found and i have tried several brands. none of jo malone or guerlain orange are a match. this may be my signature scent. if you love orange flower you have to try this. forget all the cross talk about neroli.

I'm impressed! A very natural-smelling, long-lasting, good-performance orange blossom. It starts fresh with this squeezed lemon note, a bit sour, almost too load, but refreshing. Then settles into a long phase of just beautiful citrus blossom with a hint of jasmine that adds a lot of beauty. It stayed on my skin through a long day, and I kept getting whiffs of it which made me happy. A must-have for all orange blossom lovers.

Not only is orange blossom my favorite floral scent of all, I happened to be wearing Fragonard Fleur d'Oranger when I gave birth to my daughter 5 1/2 years ago. I cannot imagine a more fitting fragrance for one of the most beautiful, amazing times in my life! Needless to say, Fleur d'Oranger holds the most special place in my heart. Nothing makes memories more vivid than fragrance, so I treasure this precious perfume.
