Ma Bergamote

I'm surprised this fragrance haven't received more reviews than it has. A friend of mine had been wearing it a few times when we met and one day i finally remembered to ask him about it. Upon visiting the Fragonard website I realized Ma Bergamote is no longer in production so when it's gone, it's gone. I told my friend about this and he instantly ordered three bottles. I grabbed one for myself. Ma Bergamote is absolutely gorgeous, and elegantly bold and confident in it's freshness and spicyness. Definitely leaning more male for me and the longevity is pretty good actually. The first spray is not too exciting but how it develops is what does it for me. Can't wait to wear this in the summer.

I got this for myself, and my husband promptly stole it. And he's right. On me it's a little sharp. On him it's oh so sexy. He calls it "rabbit bait". The sillage on it is massive. He puts it on at his desk and I can catch whiffs of it in the library. I'm like a cartoon character following the scent back to him. This is fresh and a wee bit soapy. I end up curled up on his lap huffing his neck. I will spray a pillow with it and take it with me when I travel alone. On my hubs it is straight up Earl grey tea. It's fresh and yet comforting, warm yet refreshing. I love it!

This one is really nice. It’s my favorite of this particular Fragonard line. This would be a perfect warm weather fragrance. I had a sample towelette. Use those things immediately because they dry out so quickly. I probably should have tried this a week ago. Anyway, I will put this on my buy list for spring.

It reminds me opening box of black bergamote tea - one of the first scents I remember from childhood. Since i have been intrested in perfume I am always in search for bergamote scents. This one is georgeus, very subtile mix between fresh,spicy and sweet. Umfortunately longevity is not very good.

Ma Bergamote is a clean, fresh, soapy, bitter citrus scent. To me it smells like those citrusy leaves you find in the bush that can be used with water to create a natural soap. Pettigrain is the dominant note on opening, along with bergamot and bitter orange. After dry down it mellows to include a very light white floral note, but it is still primarily that soapy pettigrain and bergamot. This is an excellent fresh-out-of-the-shower type scent, for those days when you just want to smell clean and fresh. It's going to be in my summer rotation this year and will be great for cutting the humidity.

What a fresh green scent! The bergamot in this is so spicy - not sour lemony, it’s bitter spicy! Petitgrain and amber giving off a masculine vibe. I don’t get any tea vibe or florals, I get spicy bergamot and petitgrain so green that it’s almost like basil during drydown. I really like Ma Bergamote for a guy, cuz it’s definitely leaning masculine. Amber note is light and neither cloying nor heavy, so this scent is great for daytime.
