Marche aux Fleurs

I am lucky enough to get a lot of opportunities to buy Fragonard perfumes from the factory at Eze. Whilst my favourite perfume from this house will always be the signature scent "Fragonard", there are one or two other scents that I often return to stock up on - Marche Aux Fleurs is one of them. My first time trying out this scent, I fully expected the magical heady rush of sweet flower notes to quickly follow up with nose-tingly high aldehydes and then to very quickly die down to a wisp of nothing - as most of these sparkly florals tend to do. But this scent has a good, moderate cling on my skin. surprisingly those heady top notes remain quite prominent for a good couple of hours, before drying down to a pleasant melange of floral and lightly musky notes evocative of a Riviera flower market in Summer. This is a delightfully deceptive scent with the classically lovely and long-lasting bouquet of an EDT at least three times its price. The bottle itself is very pretty and girly - clearly aimed at the teenage female market who are busy experimenting to find their signature scent. While a middle-aged woman might hide it away as a guilty pleasure, Marche Aux Fleurs will provide the olfactory soundtrack to the memories of today's young woman in years to come. I love the smell of this perfume!! It's so fresh and clean with a hint of sweetness. I love it so much! I wish the smell would last longer but i don't mind because this smell is amazing. I got this when i went to France...pretty hard to find in US but i think they have it on ebay sometimes.

Beautiful floral, the lily of valley note definitely stands out in a fresh beautiful way, joined by the jasmine. I'm not smelling any fruit notes, might as well since it's called Flower Market :). It reminds me of Dior's Diorissimo, but at 1/3 the price, well done! :)

Found this gem at a flower market in Paris. I Smelled this floral wonder and I knew that that's what I was looking for, for years. Got myself two bottles for a ridiculous price. So happy with this lovely perfume.

This an amazing smell, I had the chance to buy it in Grasse, France, where the company is. One of my favorites smells. But I'm sad it doesn't las... PLEASE Fragonar make this perfume last !! Pleaaase !!

fresh, green, aquatic lillies sourrounded with jasmines in full bloom. sounds like a riot but it’s actually harmonious !

A real find for a floral perfume lover. A whiff of heaven. What a beautiful fragrance. I was looking for a summer perfume but lately it is so hard to find clean, noble scents. I had Fragonards in the past and decided to look at it again. A small boutique in Montreal (L'Esprit du Sud on Laurier) had the full lineup of scents complete with testers. The moment I smelled Marché aux Fleurs - tears of joy in my eyes! I do not detect any melon or cassis in this, or any fruit for that matter. It is a sophisticated, uplifting floral scent without any evil notes. For the lasting power: I sprayed it on 5 hours ago (heavy hand) and it is still very much there. Bravo Fragonard!

I bought this on Fragonard website. The packaging and bottle is adorable, but the smell is quite simple. On me I can only smell the lily-of-the-valley. Nothing wrong with that, as I like the smell, but it gets boring after a while. The sillage though is good, and the smell is summerly and fresh. The simplicity of this fragrant appears too me a little old fashion, so I suspect my grandmother would enjoy this more than I do.

Like other Fragonard perfumes, this perfume is quite simple. It is a very floral perfume, and I didn't really detect the smell of mellon or black currant, as the smell of lily is the most powerful. I like to use this perfume after I shower or just before I go to bed as the smell is very soothing.

To me it's all about clean jasmin. An ethereal and feminine fragrance. Very suitable for spring and summer. So glad I have it. You can buy it at the official site, for a very fair price.

Il profumo che mi ha accompagnato nel salto tra le medie e i primi anni del liceo. Molto persistente e fresco, sulla mia pelle si sentivano soprattutto i fiori bianchi.

Unfortunately, this is too "indolic" for me. It's as if there is a bouquet of white flowers near me with a smidge of poo smeared on them. Putting the slight poo smell aside, I wouldn't purchase this perfume. The flowery components remind me of gift set soaps from Walmart that my aunts and grandparent used to gift me. I'm glad I decided to sample this perfume first.

I see that this perfume too flowery for me is very popular and hard to find overseas. So I warn you that I have sold my bottle on ebay at a very good price. If you are interested I send all over the world. You can find me on ebay with the same nickname that I have here.

I met Marche aux Fleurs edt 11 years ago in Eze and then it didn't impress me much but now I regret it. Recently, after seeing the announce on the Fragonard website, I purchased the eau de toilette 50 ml, 20 euro, as a souvenir for myself and I like it so much that please, Fragonard, don't stop producing it. After smelling almost everything you have manufactured over the years, I understand that Marche aux Fleurs is somehow Fragonard itself, soul and esprit, it is your identity, as Violette as are. Please don’t stop manufacture of this product! Fragonard site: "A magnificent floral and fruity mixture of melon and blackcurrant with a hint of sweet pea, lily of the valley, vineyard peach along with a lasting scent of jasmine, orange blossom and musk that lingers... We stop the manufacture of this product, when stocks run out it will no longer be available!"

Ordered Marche aux Fleurs from the Fragonard website. Long ago I had their perfumes and re-found them via internet. This is a very nice floral fragrance with a lighter modern twist I smell a variety of flowers like on the flower markets> Very wearable and affordable fragrance and truly the french parfum elusive quality. Fragonard is an old perfume house that has kept up with modern times. Lots of florals to choose from but Marche aux Fleurs is one of my favorites.If ever you are in Grasse or Eze it is worth a visit.The perfume bottle is also very nice stylish and with a good close fitting cap.Orders com with 3 samples of your own choice in EU.

This is airy, green and girly. I can smell mostly lily of the valley but I can also detect some green notes and juicy and ripe peach. This could be easily an elegant scent for some elegant young ladies. I would`nt personally buy this for myself, because at the age of 33 I need a bit more deepness and character from my perfume, but this is very stylish and light and very usable for younger women especially on spring and summer. When my daughter is around 20 I would like her to use this. Very lovely, as always Fragonard scents are.

I smell the spring flower, lily of the valley le muguet right away. It’s fresh and uplifting. “A sprig of le muguet is traditionally given to loved ones to bring good fortune for the year ahead. Long associated with spring, renewal and luck, lily of the valley is given as a gift in France on 1 May, a public holiday known as La Fête du Muguet. EDIT- I found the lily of the valley note too cloying for me so I’m trying to find this rare perfume a new home.

One spritz and I am instantly transported to my childhood days spent in India. The sweet smell of jasmine ( and sandalwood ?) is refreshing and comforting. I picked this up from the Fragonard Boutique in Paris at € 10. A steal ! I use it on days when I'm feeling low .....and it always comes through for me. It can be a tad overpowering if you are not a fan of florals.

I got a sachet with a wipe in side for free with a purchase from Fragonard in France. You will have to like floral to like this. I know it says floral but even when there are things mentioned like peach and melon I still expect to smell some hint of that but I definitely don't. Not my cup of tea.
