Moment Volé

After using a soap perfumed with this for fortnight, I regret not getting a bottle before it was discontinued. It's so simple and harmonious, like smelling your rich grandmother's makeup bag. I love this kind of fragrance, a bit soapy and powdery, just so effortlessly put together and inviting. I simply can't get enough of it. October '24 I just got samples from Fragonard, as I do every month, with simplified catalogue, and there was one of this baby but in eau de parfum concentration. And it's lovely. I believe it's just holiday edition, with hand cream and soap, separated in different gift boxes. I took a peak at their website and it was in 50 ml bottle, like all other edp. So, I should get me some before it disappears again, maybe permanently this time. So far it's fruitier than I remember, but I'm only at the beginning. That's not necessarily a bad thing because I smell everything else that fallows. Such a gracious, lovely perfume. They should so keep it. I would also be happy with special addition bottle once per year. Later the same day... I don't think this works for me. I can't smell a thing on my skin or my clothes and it has been only 2 h. It would be an exercise in frustration. If someone has a same problem, Rose Lavande should solve it.

I am updating my review because I realized that I have been searching for the "perfect rose" when I had it in my collection all along. That perfect French 'fresh from Grasse' rose scent for me is Moment Vole. Moment Vole opens with soft jasmine, then violet, green leaves, gentle notes of fruits, followed swiftly by a gorgeous rose that smells quite fresh to me. The rose scent is quality attar of fresh roses. The rose becomes powdery after an hour or so on my skin, but the violet leaf keeps the scent smelling fresh and not too sweet or fruity. This is how a fruity floral should smell, like fresh flowers with some fresh fruit tartness, not treacly sweet like so many recent offerings. As the scent develops the iris becomes prominent and the amber keeps this scent going on my skin for quite a few hours. This is a beauty and a keeper. One of many Fragonard successes.

Bottle of this beauty was given to me as a gift from my dear friend. Before I got it I hadn't even been interested in the brand. But she knows my taste better than anyone, and has hit the spot this time as well. My dear Eve. ♡ As I love Moment Volé! It's very delicate on my skin, but lingers really long nevertheless. Soft cloud of rose and violet going into soapy iris in the base. Like you were freshly after the shower. Unpretentious and simple, yet so charming. Lovely to wear at home to feel fresh and relaxed. It also reminds me of another beauty I've got - Rosa Moceniga from The Merchant of Venice. Lovely fragrance indeed. Perfect for upcoming spring.

Bought this in Paris in 2015. Ran out in '19. Can't buy it in the USA. Can anyone recommend something like it that's available in the US?

Moment Volé is a very delicate powdery perfume that highlights a rose/violet duo. There's a strong "clean" side which recalls the smell of freshly washed laundry or the smell of soap (I have a Dove rose soap at home, it's very similar). A pleasant fragrance for lovers of fresh, soapy scents but which will lack warmth for those who, like me, prefer more enveloping and more pronounced scents. The box set proposed by Fragonard is very pretty. N.B: nothing to do with Insolence or Parisienne.

Yesterday I was wearing Moment Vole. Very subtle violets on my skin or clothes. Smell clean but not soapy. Almost nothing in there. Will be great for summer time. I wonder if a pure perfume version would be better. I wish I could give a more accurate review but I think the smell has also been stolen. But I still love you Fragonard with all my heart! x

This smells just like parma violets (which I love), very powdery sweet violet smell with a hint of amber and raspberry. A soft, delicate fragrance that smells very clean. Definitely one to purchase if you're looking for a violet scented EDT.

Alors..... Je viens de recevoir "Moment volé" et je l'ai essayé dare-dare ! Le départ est fruité.... Le milieu est fruité.... Le fond est... fruité !!! Ma peau ne fait pratiquement que ressortir son côté fruité avec son accord framboise/cassis. Un accord fruité de très très belle qualité. On devine on peut la violette et la rose mais l'ambre est pratiquement passée à la trappe !! J'ai le sentiment que c'est ma peau qui me joue des tours avec ce parfum parce que par moments je sens vraiment la violette et la rose mais l'accord fruité revient très vite. Je l'ai mis ce matin (en Edt) à 6 h30, il est presque 19 h et j'ai l'impression que je viens de m'asperger de ce parfum. Je qualifierais de délicieux si j'aimais les parfums fruités mais malheureusement je n'aime pas les parfums fruités. Zut alors ;O)... Et le sillage est digne de beaucoup beaucoup d'autres eaux de parfum de grandes marques !! Je veux dire qu'il est puissant sans être écrasant pour l'entourage !! Fragonard est vraiment une marque de parfum de très haute tenue !

As I couldn’t test it but the notes are all I’m in love with, I thought it was an interesting idea to buy the soap. I was wrong. I don’t know why but the soap bar has an herbal smell, dry hay or medicinal tea. The fragrance itself is a delicate and sweet purple rose, I can’t understand the difference between them. So go directly to the spray.

Wow. Violets and powder and violets. And some English rose. The powder smells like face powder, not baby powder. I agree with a previous poster who said it smells like your rich grandma's purse. If you like vintage violet perfumes, you might really enjoy this!
