Oud Rose Intense

Was trying to figure out what this smells like and somebody on one of the other websites nailed it - it's a lot like Xerjoff's 2022 release "Sketchbook - P.33". You get this musky-fruity-floral open with slight sweetness that at first made me think of scents like Xerjoff's Comandante and Carner Barcelona's Tardes, with eventually a clean & slightly powdery base revealing more of itself. P.33 performs far worse than this, but the price on this is outright horrendous - it's not a good deal even if you get 20% off (P.33 isn't any better in this category). Oud Rose Intense does have pretty good airiness and longevity, especially in spring-fall weather - I get strong sillage for the first ~1.5-2 hours, with longevity closer to 9-10 hours (this is one of the best performing FDBs out of the 20 that I've tested so far in 2023). Scent is very much unisex, but owners I suspect will be majority men.

A very pleasant experience. Was expecting a hard oud and rose combination (which the name Oud Rose Intense suggests) but surprised by a sweet citrus top note. There are fruity qualities here blended very well with the rose and has a powdery dry down. I have difficulty discerning the oud. There is a depth to this fragrance that might indicate the presence of it but it isn't obvious. Rose isn't something I look for in fragrances, so this was practically invisible to me until a fellow collector offered to sell his backup bottle when I went to pick up another fragrance from his place. I didn't want to be too dismissive so I tried it on my wrist and well... I ended up buying it. Although I really enjoy this fragrance, Oud Rose Intense is a bit of a misnomer. The rose is apparent and lovely, and I am still searching for the oud. Intense? No. Elegant? Yes.

I love the fragrance. It is subtle, exceptionally well blended with top notch ingredients. The rose is what I would call high pitched. It's strong but it moves the scent up to heights rather than sin down toward earth.The fruity notes add sweetness; the sandalwood adds depth. It's more concerto than symphony but the notes sing and make me want to wear this frequently. Unisex scent with moderate silage and longevity. If this one lasted longer and did not stick close to the skin I would give this a rave review. I will wear in the summer. For those looking for an Oud bomb, you won't find it here. I'm not sure why so few have tested or bought this one as it is well worth trying.

Airy bright rose and a basket of ripe fruit/berries. My absolute favourite from this line. Carries some similarities with MFK - Lumiere Noire, but this one is "thicker", less summer fresh and almost regal. Absolutely masterfully blended, transforms slowly, and has a calming quality about it throughout the long drydown. What transforms is the fresh fruit, which slowly disappears and leaves behind the very elegant rose. Sillage is ok and longevity is good. Oud is almost not detectable to me. 94/100 points

This is really beautiful and sophisticated but not old smelling. I used to dislike rose 🥀 fragrances yet this scent and Rose Prick by TF really opened up my mind to exploring more rose 🌹 scents. I recommend this as a signature scent.

This starts out so lovely. A thick jammy smooth rose. If pink velvet could smell like something its this. I imagine a Victorian lady sitting on a pink velvet sofa. She is elegant and classy. However the first few times I tried this after the jammy rose goes away I am just left with a woody smell. It is a very smooth wood but nothing that makes me love the dry down. Again I think this is 40+ business professional or just everyday. Edit: I wore this again today and stopped by a farm. It smelled great there. Still very woody but also just better! Then I got home and its still just woody and I think I am getting some geranium but very faint.

pleasant smell of rose and oud. Not smelling much of anything else. very quiet and classy, does not last long therefore i would say it is beyond overpriced.

Rose and Wood. Not much more to say. Not one of my favourites from the shades range but I’ll use up my sample.

Bubble-gum sweet designer found in malls, with an added basic rose note that mostly remains overshadowed by a heaping dose of sweet and cheap smelling synthetics. Disappointing given the price this commands

Overpowered by a juvenile overdone fruity juicy juice smell. Doesn’t project well and isn’t entirely that unique. In love with orange intense and jaune intense. But this one is meh.

It’s so overhyped by Demi Rawling. I usually agree most of her niche choices but just can’t agree with her on Fragrance du Bois. I ordered a few samples from this house because of her including this Oud Rose Intense. The scents from this house are nice but not so unique with their price tags. They smell similar to other fragrances out there. Like this one, it smells like Oud Satin Mood. Not the same but similar. Most importantly, their performances that are not equivalent to the price. Last 7 hours max on my skin (sometimes less) and super soft projection for slightly over 1 hour then becomes weak skin scents (weaker than the others). I have Oud Satin Mood, it smells so similar but more divine, thicker, richer and complex. Performance is much better. My skin eats perfumes and it still easily last 10+ hours on my skin (not on clothes). Projection is great for first 4-5 hours. I got compliment from a man who stood 4 feet away from me. Then it would slowly become skin scent (very slowly). There is still projection after 5 hours but just softer. Then it would become skin scent at about 7 hour but the skin scent is even stronger than Oud Rose Intense. Oud Satin Mood became my must have in the collection. It much deserves the price tag compared to this Oud Rose Intense.

Oud Rose Intense is a major disappointment. If I did not implicitly trust the person who gave me a sample, I would think this is a main line men's designer fragrance. I smell very little rose, and absolutely no oud. What I do smell is a shit ton of Ambroxan. This smells extremely similar to the men's Armani Code line to my nose. Fragrance Du Bois should be embarrassed by this. It is for 15 year old boys. Fragrantica score of 3.3 from me.

Jean Paul Gaultier LE MALE clone or the older brother version idk its way too sweet on my skin no go ! love the Fragrance Du Bois DNA tho they have a nice clean feeling to them but this fragrance in general no go for me

*Oud Rose Intense* At the *first* instance the nose detects a very *comforting* *fresh burst of bergamot*, which is *smooth* and *enticing*, followed by an an *exotic* and rich whiff of *Rose* which gives a layered affect to the fresh bergamot, theres another note that's throbbing away, *geranium*, (gives a lemon or pineapple affect) a *sweet* note can be detected in the middle note *every so often* Amber, finally held together by a sharp Sandalwood note, that gives a spice type of experience to the senses. Its mentioned that there is a 100% pure oud oil as the base, but I cant really detect a obvious Oud note, so it either blends really well or the rich Rose note, sandalwood and bergamot that's overpowering it, or my nose is not detecting it very well. Conclusion is *Rich Rose note, predominant, bergamot, sandalwood and Geranium*. I *love* this frag alot because it's not *irritating* to the senses however many tmes you go back and forth introducing it to your nose. Over and out. ! That's 18 mins into the fragrance.!

Buddy said abhorrent and it smells like vomit. I’m convinced people say these things because they are bitter they can’t afford it, bought a fake and they’re mad or just really have a basic nose. FRAGRANTICA please let us start bei able to respond directly to these idiots lol. Listen to me when I tell you this is amazing, it’s not a super beast of a projector but for those of us who don’t like people talking to us that’s perfect. Don’t let these people with collections full of Macys and Sephora fragrances sway you. All of fragrance du bois scents demolish anything on the market and that makes people mad. Try one and you’ll see.

this is actually abhorrent. top note: vomit after having too much jägermeister, stomach acid. it mellows out into what i imagine the floor would smell like after you clean up the mess using eco-friendly cleaning products, vinegar or something. distinct smell of grape lozenges in a dry mouth when you have a fever. but the base is what really makes it offensive for me—it's the sweat of a man who yells at his mum. i cannot describe it any other way, it's not a musky body odour, but the fresh armpit of a man you are not compatible with. i'm seeking damages. what a horrible day to have a sense of smell.

I don’t know what this scent does to me but I smell nothing like what the notes would suggest nor what other people are getting. The oud-rose combo category is the category I dislike the most! And yet this is my signature scent. No oud, barely any rose. Top 3 of all times, can never be without. It must be my nose that reacts to this differently. I get a fruity marzipan scent with the tiniest bit of rose. I love it! It’s so good!

You really need to fire your act director Fragrance Du Bois and reformulate upwards as per performance. You make the best of Scents and your packaging is to die for but performance per price leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Who spends this much for a skin scent that you the wearer cannot even perceive and enjoy. Please reformulate upwards and people will be more than happy to buy and leave you healthy joyful reviews.

I do not pick up the fruity notes, not even bergamot. I smell a clean, dry rose (definitely not jammy) with sandalwood, soft oud and a bit of amber. I would not put this in the same category as Oud Satin Mood. They may have a few notes in common but they are entirely different. Rose and Oud are two of my favorite scents and I like them to stand out. For me they do not with this perfume. Nice safe skin scent.

Peppery, earthy yet very clean rose with a slightly medicinal but clean oud. Patchouli, dry jasmine and a hint of frankincense as backup. Pleasant stuff, a clean rose scent with an attitude. Edit: Unfortunately turns into a synthetic floral vanilla combo in the drydown that reminds me a lot of accords in designer perfumes, not at all as pleasant at this point.

You know that juicy watery scent when you walk into a florist? This is that, bottled atop some dry woods. Beautiful, sophisticated for a rose scent but the performance and the pricing leave much to be desired. If Narciso Rodriguez released this as a unisex offering it'd be to die for.

Fresh clean rose with some fruitines and sourness in the background. I love it for spring! Like MFK A la rose but a bit deeper and more interesting. Nothing like MFK Oud satin mood! I dont see that at all. Oud satin mood is a uniqe beautiful beast, this is a very soft clean rose.

To me this is a clone to Le Male by JPG. I love it. it’s more refined and just little less sweet than Le Male. Perfect for me. Piqture the Le Male bottle in pink...... More female than male I think

Fresh rose - oud. Inoffensive. As the reviewer below said the opening is great, the dry down is designer-type. 5/10
