This is a straight up gourmand lover's dream, pretty much indistinguishable from the real thing. It's a potent, warm and inviting blend of s sweet, coffee, rum, spicy, and vanilla aromas. The note formulation is straightforward but also insanely accurate. So much so that it might actually get lost in an environment where you consume real coffee such as a restaurant, bar or coffee shop. Anyone with even a remote liking for gourmand fragrances should get this. It's unisex, good for all ages, and works in both social and professional environments and for all occasions. It is sweet, so those who dislike sweet fragrances should go for a drier flanker in the collection such as Qahwa or Kopi Luwak instead. Highly recommended.

Just got my bottle today and I am very surprised by this one, in a good way. I was really nervous about buying this because of the coffee note and the top espresso note, thinking it would make this perfume very bitter smelling and almost nauseating. However, I am glad to report that although I don't love that top espresso note, it blends into the rest of the fragrance pretty quickly creating an amazingly balanced, feminine scent. The vanilla and Tonka in this are very creamy and seductive, not artificial and sugary like some other vanilla perfumes. Although this is sweet, I would not consider this a gourmand perfume because there is a prominent freshness to it that's almost fruity, I think that might be the Tonka. I am going to let this one sit for a bit and see if/how it changes because my bottle is from December 2024 so it's rather new, but so far, I love it fresh out of the box!

This is seriously good stuff. Light, airy, sweet coffee, this fragrance is incredibly pleasant and has become my favorite of the Coffee Collection. I've owned my bottle for almost a year now and can confirm that it performs well. This morning, I sprayed my shirt around the chest area about 4 or 5 times and continued to smell the scent on me for the entire workday. The bottle also sports a pressurized atomizer, which is pretty nice. I think anyone can pull this off, though I found it does lean a bit more feminine. If you're interested in other coffee fragrances from this line, I also own and recommend checking out both Qahwa and Caramel Macchiato. They are great too.

My favorite from the coffee line definitely better than Irish Coffee which both contain a reminiscent rum/liquor note but this one minimizes it so it wont overpower the other notes . Affogato is a traditional Italian coffee-dessert where hot espresso is poured over gelato or vanilla ice cream, with the option of adding a splash of liquor and id say this fits that description perfectly smelling very realistic. Good for users of all ages & unisex over all 10/10 for presentation and quality

It's absolutely beautiful. I haven't tried Amore Caffè yet and I know it will have some comparisons so I will be watching out for that. To me this smells like walking into a coffee shop on a winter day and just smelling that freshly brewed coffee, they have vanilla scented candles lit and the smells are mixing. I can't speak for longevity yet, I will definitely be macerating it and coming back to it, but right out the box I absolutely love it!

If the barista at the gelateria was ever a smell it will be this ! 10/10 just for the "photorealism" of the scent alone.

UPDATE: my flatmate sprayed it in his room and I caught a whiff of it! It smells very nice, sort of smokey gourmand with a a little bit of spiciness. It lingers for hours! I was convinced that he was spraying Mashrabya (I have it and I love it, but I haven't worn it in days prior to this little incident! Or on the day thereof!!) but he doesn't have that scent. Maybe I had gone nose blind to it or maybe it has matured. Now, it smells very unisex. I don't smell the overpowering coffee note anymore, maybe that's why I seem to like it. This probably is a perfume that needs some sitting and waiting to bloom. I will see if it becomes even better with time, and then I miiiight consider repurchasing it. I would still say it isn't blind-buy safe but with time it transforms into something lovely. p.s. The atomiser on this is amazing! 🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁 To me, it's very coffee forward. It does dry down to a nice vanilla, justifying the name affogato. However, the initial coffee note is too strong for me to ignore. It is unisex, but I find it a tad too masculine for me. Moderate longevity. I had higher expectations. This one isn't for me. The packaging it came in was nice and the bottle and the presentation is very good. I won't be repurchasing this one. This was a blind buy, and as one can tell, this didn't work out for me. I gave given it away to my flatmate who is still forming an opinion.

I had Caramel Machiato before and I was not so impressed. Affogato is a bit improved version I would say; you can smell sweet coffee, vanilla, amber. It does remind me weaker version Qahwa, do not get me wrong Affogato performs well (even without maceration) but Qahwa is beast mode. To compare; I love coffee fragrances but literal one, I really do not mind to smell like walking Starbucks :D my favorite coffee fragrances are followed and coffee addict. Comparing to those Affogato is more wearable version for those who does not want to smell like someone spilled coffee on them it has coffee but it still smells like gourmand perfume.

This original creation by FW is genuinely a very photorealistic representation of an affogato - espresso blended with sweet and milky vanilla ice cream, though there is definitely nothing icy about this fragrance. It's the very embodiment of the gourmand fragrance category. Super yummy, sweet, and creamy. Lasts pretty long on clothes and has decent projection. The reason I don't love it is that I realized there are very few times I actually desire to smell like sweet coffee for 6 hours. Coffee is much more enjoyable as a fleeting scent that you get in wafts from your drink in the morning or at the cafe you're working at.

I love to drink coffee but I have come to terms with the fact that I don't want to smell like coffee. Not a coffee gourmand at least, maybe coffee note with florals works better for me and feels more sopphisticated. This one smells like actual coffee with rum in it. It's kinda boring and too boozy for me personally. I do prefer this over Amore Caffé though. Affogato is less sugary, which I like. But it's still the same scent profile: sweet and boozy coffee.

This is not bad by any means, it is okay, but just get Amore Caffè by Mancera if you want a coffee fragrance, as it is much smoother and better blended.

I don’t know if mine wasn’t macerated effectively but after almost 2 weeks, all I could smell was caramel, like really burnt sugar.

@daraghclinton (below) wrote the perfect, spot-on review. This is my second (and last) perfume purchase from Fragrance World "Coffee Collections." The first was Caramel Macchiato, which was not for me (I found the caramel not cloying and overbearing). Fragrance World "Affogato" is just simply a bad fragrance. I own/owned, wear/have worn a few lovely coffee-forward fragrances. I love Mancera "Amore Caffe" and I adore Orientica "Cafe Arabica." Affogato smells like a cup of bitter, weakly brewed, cheap black coffee. Bitter, bitter, bitter. Smells like raw, GREEN, UNROASTED, coffee beans. The coffee note is undetectable amongst all the sour, green bitterness. Anyone who thinks this perfume smells like an edible Italian "affogato" has clearly never eaten an edible Italian affogato. Out of frustration, Affogato went right into the trash.

Very synthetic and a cloying amount of cinnamon. Held onto my decant for a year and am now finally decluttering as it hasn't improved much if at all.

Very bitter and the sweetness is off putting. If a tiramisu was covered in coffee grounds that's what it'd smell like.

I’m honestly confused by this one. On my skin it’s straight up raw, bitter coffee beans with zero sweetness, which is disappointing since I usually love gourmand scents. The coffee note comes across cheap and overpowering, and instead of authentic Italian café vibes, it feels harsh and unbalanced. I’ll let the bottle sit and see if it mellows out by winter, but for now I’m really put off. It’s definitely interesting and very realistic, but personally, I don’t want to smell like I’ve been rolling around in raw coffee beans.

This is really good. Sweet, creamy vanilla with hints of rum and coffee, a very "tasty" gourmand opening. We get a noticeable amount of cinnamon, caramel with some more coffee in the drydown, it really does what it says on the tin and projects the aroma of a coffee-dessert. It kinda reminds me of Givenchy Gentleman Society Extreme but with a unisex/fem leaning twist and a long lasting coffee note. It also has similarities to the Angel's Share DNA. Solid 8 hours of performance and medium projection for the first few hours.

This is as good (if not better) as it sounds based on the notes (and it's also a steal for the 30£ I paid for it). The only way I can compare it to Amore Caffe is: AC is a seasonal starbucks drink overloaded with caramel syrup, Affogato on the other hand is an affogato from a tiny independent Italian coffeeshop, simple but delectable.

Inspired by the Italian dessert Affogato, it shares similarities with Kilian Black Phantom or Mancera Amore Caffè but is richer in flavor. Moderately sweet, balanced by the bitterness of Espresso and the warmth of Rum.
