B Satin Oud

I just received this fragrance the other day and I'm thrilled to have it in my modest collection. To some, especially younger fragrance enthusiasts, this is going to feel "old lady-ish". It's a powdery oud, vanilla and rose bomb with some spiciness to it. It's lovely and not nearly as synthetic as others have commented. At least no more synthetic than many designer fragrances. There's a bit of freshness to it and the vanilla/benzoin combo gives it a creamy, sweetness though it's not lactonic. The oud is not animalic so it comes off as a deep, warm woody note. Very few fragrances have any longevity on my extra dry skin. I was surprised when I woke up in the morning and I was able to still smell Barakkat Satin Oud on my clothes AND skin. After 12 hours of wear! If powdery, sophisticated compositions aren't your thing don't bother with BSO. For powdery fragrance lovers that aren't fishing for compliments this would be an easy blind buy. I'm in love with it.

Let me start off by saying, this is a very rich, dense, heavy, thick, sticky and powdery scent. Being said, this is very mature and intense. When I first got it, I was deeply offended by the smell. Almost had a plasticy gasoline synthetic type of smell to it. So, some time went by, and after 4 - 5 months on the shelf, it entirely shifted into something amazing. It almost smells identical to MFK Satin. Around 95% similar. I would say the only give away from the two, is when I sprayed them on a smelling strip, after coming back to smell them both side to side a 2 days later, the MFK smelt more like caramel while this smelt more silky and had a violet accord. Overall, to the average nose, or even enthusiasts, this smells almost identical. The price for performance and smell is astounding. 5 sprays will give you a heavy projection for an entire day, should only be worn on formal settings for a more mature audience. Overall, 9/10.

I own this fragrance. And I have had it for 6 months, it's beastly strong. Lasts over 10 hours on my skin. And as far as what it's trying to clone, it's a 1 to 1 of oud satin mood. Like spot on, I would say it's closer to the extrait, rather than the edp

this is great for special wearings,evenings,events, for me totally unisex i feel dark rose very seductive ,i dont find too feminine i dont care honestly i wear what i like not others.Performance eternal
