Barakkat Satin Oud

Got mine from JomaShop. Blind bought this as a guy wanting something in the rose family for cheap. Still too early to be definitive, but this seems like a successful blind buy for me: I don’t need to “trick” myself into enjoying this as at all, I find it nice in the first instant. This one shines to me in the air. The scent takes on a completely different character with my nose to my skin. When I first smelled it out of the box, I happened to be looking at other mail that came in: there was a magazine with candy heart clip art. The scent immediately associated itself with the candy hearts in my mind, specifically the pink, rosy ones. In the air, it’s a nice dry, powdery, addictive candied rose. I love drier, powdery versions of most brighter notes (like florals and citruses), so this landed perfectly for me. Up close, a whole different story. I’m not too experienced with identifying notes, but the rose becomes much more realistic: more dewy and leaning into some greenness, still wrapped in a fresh sweetness. The greenness feels like a gateway to the woody oud heart of the fragrance, which isn’t too prominent or overwhelming for me, it behaves nicely in the background. Can’t speak too much yet towards the intensity, but given the fragrance comes across different in the air vs. up close, I’d imagine this is better suited for colder weather and night time. I could wear this in many scenarios, but I think the most fitting would be during something cozy but still active, like date night holiday shopping errands at an outdoor strip mall. Very specific (the fragrance is more versatile than just that) but that helps convey the vibe I get.

I worked in a beauty store that sold Oud Satin Mood by MFK, I ended up being able to take home a small bottle of it and fell in love with the scent. The bottle lasted me all the way up until I left and without the discount I couldn’t justify buying the OG. I ended up buying this on a whim after seeing so many good reviews on it & I’m so happy I did! Straight out the bottle with no maceration; it’s 97% accurate to the original. I’d say the initial spray without maceration is similar to Rose water & Turkish delights, it lacks the same depth as MFK and is missing the oud note. However, as it develops it gets closer and closer to the original. If you don’t mind a strong rose water scent at first i’d 100% recommend getting this perfume, especially since the scent evolves the longer you leave it and eventually morphs into an even stronger, longer lasting version of the MFK. If you’re not okay with buying it and letting it sit for a long period of time, or you don’t like the scent of rose, i’d suggest you steer clear and find another fragrance. The OG MFK is very rose heavy too. It’s a completely safe blind buy if you know that you love Rose & Violet, especially at the beginning of the bottle. It is not safe if you don’t enjoy it. This fragrance smells luxurious, it smells like wealth, it smells effortlessly amazing. It’s a serious fragrance that smells incredible on man or woman!

I have both bottles, the Barakkat and the new B Satin Oud version, and I can confidently say that this is not the same juice 100 percent. In my opinion, the original is by far the better one. The Barakkat version is overall stronger than B Satin Oud. It opens with violet taking the spotlight early on, before softening and blending beautifully with the rose. It starts off floral-heavy but gradually evolves into a powdery floral with subtle sweetness and the woodiness of oud. B Satin Oud, on the other hand, opens directly with rose, with just a hint of violet within it. It is sweeter right from the start compared to Barakkat. Overall, it feels slightly tuned to be more immediately appealing to a wider audience. Keep in mind that I got my bottles relatively new, so I will update my comment once they have had more time to masserati. But based on my initial impressions, If you want a scent that evolves and feels a bit more niche, Barakkat is the version to go for. If you prefer something more linear and mass-pleasing, B Satin Oud is your pick.

Love this!!! Let it macerate for a week or two. The initial spray is nothing to write home about but after a minute it settles into the most jammy rose scent I have ever smelled. Jammy like Cooper and Thief Red Blend wine (IYKYK). It is not a sweet perfume. It does have a "powderyness", most likely from the violet, to it throughout the life of the perfume but it's very minor. It's very alluring and sexy but is also comforting. I imagine a rich, hot cougar in a bar with a young man burying his head against her, finding comfort and peace in her scent after a traumatic heartbreak. I also picture a dark fantasy queen that doesn't hesitate carrying out atrocities. The oud, rose, and vanilla are the stars of this show, remaining the most prevalent throughout the life of the perfume. One day I will get my hands on the original and I can't wait to try it. Longevity: Yes Sillage: Everyone will notice Song Match: Lovers to Enemies (Chase Noseworthy, Annapantsu)

Synthetic jammy Violet nuke, Smells like a room freshener. It doesn't really smell like the og but maybe gives you an idea of what it smells like (I didn't like the og either), maybe it's cloning the extrait, gets very vanillic in the drydown Impressions are right out of the box, I'll let it sit longer and see, currently it's very synthetic and irritating, I sneeze a lot whenever I spray it. Edit: 2 weeks have passed, the fragrance mellowed out its edges very gracefully. It became such a beautiful and comforting scent to spray, it's Creamy and Powdery idk how to explain it, it's like "baby wipes" but in the most beautiful way. one of the few fragrances I have that I consider literal mood enhancers. I change my opinion this is a solid 8.5/10 especially for the price. Don't judge it harshly out of the box like I did.

i first got it in july 2025. i really liked it because i could smell the rose and the oud. i don't know why everyone is saying they cant smell the oud in it and that they can smell it the OG (MFK oud satin mood) because for me thats the opposite. the mfk og is subtle, and im sorry im not gonna be dropping 360$ only for it to be subtle or discreet, kinda feels overpriced. yes in this one the rose is more proeminent, and more noticeable. i do smell the oud and it is overall very lovely, im not disappointed for 20$. i let it macerate and now it is stronger, like 3 sprays max. the longevity is really good too, lasting the whole day. overall, 10/10 for me, but can come off as a clean scent to some. definitely dont blind buy

50ml bottle price is dirt cheap, smells like fresh florals with synthetic fruity candies and clean musky backbone to it with a hint of likable oud accord ( iso e super, sandalwood, slight cypriol and patchouli), smells sweet, delicious and addictive also people around me loved it on me, around 6-8 hours of longevity and 4 hours of projection. i paid 2.5 $ for a 50ml bottle (i live in middle east) and thats insanity for the juice i got, can't recommend this gem enough specially if you find the 50ml for under 5$. edit= 100mls are considerably more expensive (around that 15$ mark) because the bottles on them are prettier and cost more to make, the juice is supposed to be the same (confirmed with FW)

This is really great! I just got my bottle and sprayed it on my skin for the first time. One spray in my elbow and it lasted until I finished work and drove home, so at least 8 hours. I won’t wear this in summer or to run errands. It smells special and it’s rather serious and sexy. I only smelled the MFK once and it struck me hard and why I ordered this. I don't have the MFK so I can't do a 1-1 comparison but why do I need to?? This smells great and I can't afford the MFK. This smells unique, but it does resemble during various stages of the scent Dior Gris or Chopard Love too. I will revisit this review after I have worn a bit more but imo this is a real winner!

Wow! This is damn close to MFK's Oud Satin Mood (no wonder MFK was acting salty about dupes). I decided not to upgrade my travel Oud Satin Mood after getting this. It's a gorgeous powdered rose with just the right touch of oud. It's smooth and slightly sweet to my nose. Performance is a beast. The bottle itself is a copy so ofc it looks nice. This is an excellent affordable option. I'm truly impressed. Projection: 9/10 Longevity: 9.5/10 Overall Experience: 9/10

Very beautiful rose and violet scent. Very sweet though, it has a woody accord in the background but the rose is very strong and prominent. It leans more masculine to my nose. Though I do believe it can be more unisex, due to the sweetness and the rose, its jammy. Very beautiful date night fragrance. If you layer this with Sunnamusk Forever, that smokiness gives great balance and makes this even more masculine and sexy to my nose. Stunning

Candied Violet, sweet rose, vanilla-amber LOVE!! Yes, a version of Oud Satin Mood, and a very well done one. In my humble opinion better than Baroque Satin Oud. While they dry down almost exactly the same, Barakkat has better development with violet really getting time in the spotlight before moving on to the rose heart. Love this, it’s currently in my top 20 for life. 10/10!

This is a powdery, sweet (but not gourmand) rose fragrance with a gentle amber and resin base that is exceptionally smooth and has impressive longevity, especially on clothes. I layer it with Afnan Supremacy in Heaven for a more masculine profile. The original Barakkat Satin Oud bottle design has been replaced by the new "B" Satin Oud design. They both contain the same juice.

This one is a disruptor. I've compared a fair number of dupes to OGs, and I have to say, this one is astonishing. For me it is identical and the nuclear strength and longevity also match the OG. It's also probably the cheapest dupe I've ever bought at under £15. Crazy. The only issue is whether or not you feel comfortable wearing such a rose forward scent if you're a guy.

cannot glaze this thing enough, 6 hours of solid projection with 6 sprays in hotter weather without any nose blindness (hot weather kills performance of most scents), pure elegant mass appealing modern sweet floral scent with unbelievable value. this thing made me question myself maybe i should sell everything i have and use this as my signature forever.

Not usually in my wheelhouse but my GF gifted me this fragrance. To me, this leans feminine but the scent is amazing and intoxicating. Truthfully, I'd probably be a bit apprehensive wearing this in public but at home, when I'm unwinding, it's extremely pleasing and comforting. Brings me peace. Longevity and projection are excellent 👍

I'm not familiar with the original MFK. When I first bought this, after 30 minutes I smelled... nothing! "I thought, what's everyone talking about?" Zero longevity?! Now, after 4 weeks of maceration, it's beast mode. Good scent and great sillage... buy it, you really get your money's worth; it lasts 12+ hours on your skin.

This is, without a doubt, my most complimented fragrance (especially from women)! Year-round, goes on strong but dries down beautifully. Lasts all day with good projection. The rose note is beautiful, not overpowering, not old lady-esque. This one's a no-brainer!

Unreal longevity and projection. Smells very floral and a slight touch of oud. Great stand out fragrance. I think you can get away with wearing this year round to be honest. One of my favorites - can't beat the price either.

I love this fragrance but it has a baby wet wipes vibe. Although on skin it smells so nice and sophisticated. It projects well but I think the rumors are right with the longevity. I might test again.

Nose Note #817 The first couple of wearings I so deeply regretted this purchase, despite it being so cheap. The notes are all really seemed like a perfect match for me, I love oud, rose and all. But the first times it felt really bad, just lousy quality, a terrible scent that was all other the place and something about it was screaming "cheap". Honestly, even now after about 3 months it still doesn't smell very nice upclose, but the sillage is good. I'll say it right off - it's not easy to find a perfume for $5 a 50ml that will perform like a $400 perfume. The performance is really nice, it could still be better of course. I'd like to compare it to Carnal Desire, Red Tobacco, Opus Magnum and many others - those are SO STRONG, they will penetrate 3 layers of clothes and will stay on all three layers until laundry day. This will not, but it's still definately "strong", not moderate. The rose here is soapy and slightly sour. The whole composition is very sweet, too sweet for my liking. You have to enjoy sweet fragrances and middle eastern fragrances for sure. The oud is not poopy at all, but it is oud. Imagine TF Oud Wood, but super sweet and with rose. Unfortunately, it's also too feminine leaning for my taste. And I just can't connect with the whole composition to the max. It's kind of a simple and linear scent. It's feels deep, but simple. Feels noir. On paper I should like this fragrance, but in reality I don't like it that much, compared to Lattafa's Opulent Oud, Oud Mood, Al Qiam Gold, Rouat al Oud - all of those feature oud and some form of rose - all of those are different scents, but they share something. Now Barakkat Satin Oud is a completely different story. Perhaps it's more western, I don't know. This sweetness is killing me. Again, I'd call this an acquired taste, because my opinion changed after maybe 3,4,5 times I've worn it. 7.3/10, everything is complicated

First, let me start off by saying I got Barakkat Satin Oud for around $21 USD, which is extremely cheap, especially when compared to its inspiration. Secondly, no one should ever expect the same quality from a $21 fragrance as a $300+ fragrance, just as a general rule. Opening: I have smelled MFK Oud Satin Mood EDP and have a sample of the extrait. I know the extrait better so I’m going to compare it to that, even though it’s technically duping the EDP. Barakkat definitely has a bit of a harsh opening that’s somewhat to be expected with an Arabic dupe at this price range. It opens heavier on the violet to me than MFK, roses are a bit more synthetic (if MFK satin mood smells like well blended rose petals, this is almost like they threw in the flower stems as well, making it perhaps slightly vegetal to my nose on the opening), and much less vanilla on the opening. Drydown: The oud is subtle but it’s there. It takes a bit to really settle but once it dries down, it’s pretty similar to MFK and the vanilla starts to shine, definitely way less rich and not quite as well blended, but there’s no mistaking they’re close. The vanilla to me is the real selling point of oud satin mood compared to other rose and oud fragrances, and it does get there and start to pop eventually. This is the fragrance at its best by far. I’m not gonna do the “87.8% similar” stuff, I’ll just say it’s decently close. Performs well, I can smell it on myself as I walk for a couple hours and can still smell it as a skin scent by the end of the day. Definitely does not perform like MFK, nor should it at $21. Obviously feminine leaning, there’s no denying that, but I still think it works on guys (I’m a guy). Overall, definitely worth a buy if you like the MFK Oud satin mood DNA but can’t afford it. Maybe spray it a little bit before you go out. I really like it, I’d say maybe 8.5/10!

Barakkat Satin Oud has one of the strongest rose profiles I’ve tried. Just 2–3 sprays lasts the entire day easily. What makes it special for me is how the scent keeps coming back after a few hours. You suddenly catch that rich rosy vanilla trail again, and it feels amazing every time. I tried layering it with other perfumes, but Satin Oud completely takes over almost every combination. Sometimes it even makes the mix smell strange because the rose is so dominant. Definitely not a subtle fragrance — but that bold character is exactly why I enjoy it so much.

Yes, it’s powdery. No, it doesn’t remind me of an old lady from the past. No, it’s not as bombastic as some people claim it is. No, with just one spray it doesn’t fill the whole room—or maybe it does, but still, the scent evaporates quite quickly. On my skin, it doesn’t last at all. On clothes—a bit longer. It’s a heavy scent, with an intense rose. It’s not for everyone. I wish it lasted longer on me... In any case, I wouldn’t buy it again. Maybe I’d try another version, a more expensive one.

I have both MFK Oud satin mood and this and they smell almost 1 to 1 except this has a slightly sweeter rose dry down. If you can’t afford the original or just want to save it, I would recommend purchasing

Baby powder and sweet rose. That's the easiest way to describe this fragrance, I don't get any much oud as it's blended really well. Not your every day fragrance better suited for Black Tie Events.

Barakkat Satin Oud opens with this lush, jammy Bulgarian rose that's sweet and powdery right away, backed by soft violet and a creamy vanilla touch... kinda like diving into a velvety rose petal dessert, rich and inviting at first sniff. As it develops, the oud creeps in underneath with amber adding warmth, but that oud feels pretty synthetic to me, almost chemical and harsh below the floral sweetness. Even after letting my bottle macerate for weeks, that fake oud undertone just hangs around and doesn't smooth out much. Wear-wise, this stuff packs a punch with 8 to 12 hours longevity and strong projection early on before settling closer after two hours... great for fall and winter evenings or nights out, works day too if you're bold, but skip the heat. I personally wouldn't go as far as calling it a solid dupe for MFK's Oud Satin Mood, as the main reason I love my OG MFK is the very smooth and luxurious oud note that stays on my skin for hours after the scent has finished it's job. I'd rate it 3/5 overall... it's decent for layering with real oud frags to create something unique, but that persistent synthetic oud keeps it from being a standalone winner for me.

With this scent I find that you get what you pay for. When I just got it, it did indeed smell very similar to Oud Satin Mood (or what i remembered it to smell like) and yes it is a nice rose fragrance when smelled by itself but after comparing it side by side to Oud Satin Mood it pales in comparison. It has this sour facet that you dont really pick up on until you smell them side by side.

Opening is a bit alcoholic and for the first 30 minutes ish its a bit off and unpleasant when smelled up close (in the air it's fine), but after half an hour it becomes pretty damn close. Would say probably comfortably within 95% similarity to the OG. Quite impressive.

A very common way to describe this fragrance as 'Rose Water'. Absolutely disheartened. On a positive note, this perfume performs good in warm and humid weather, which last 6-7 hours (15-20 sprays). I would rate this fragrance as 4/10 (only because of the good longevity).

Blind bought this , one sniff and game over. I will let it macerate but i dont think i am going to enjoy this ever. Its something about mfk dna is so glazed for me. However, its just my opinion . Right of the bat for my nose, synthetic incensey water with synthetic sweetness with little to no oud. The incense is not smoky but if you have ever smelled unburned incense stick you would know. Extremely sweet. Sweeter than khamrah. The described notes are not evident to my nose. This is first impression and will update after few weeks . SUFFERING FROM HEADACHE

My first blind buy fail after 2 months starting my journey with ME fragrances. I do love floral forward fragrance but, man! I dont think I can't stand this one. I know fragrance is subjective and personal but I do not recommend it blind buy this just for the hype that it gets. I will leave to macerate and do some layering combos. If doesn't work, decluttered will be. FYI I hate this as much as I hate Portrait of a Lady

bro i just blind buy this fragrance,it smells like a grass and kind of baby wipes,the rose is very little when i spray on the skin/i can't smell the rose.i don't like this when i smell it i feel dizzy and want to puke.just wash my hands with water but i can still smell it

Just got this, absolutely hate it. Maybe rose is not something I enjoy personally. But, I feel like this is something that would layer nicely with something sweeter. To me the scent profile is a 1/10. It is strong tho, one spray was enough to fill the room.

Rose and vanilla thats it. No oud at all. Very off putting. If mfk oud satin mood smells anything like this, thats a bummer and complete waste of money. Really disgusting.

For a long time I was hesitant to buy dupes of famous expensive fragrances, especially ones that are heavy on the oud. I must say, this one genuinely surprised me on how smooth gets. $40 on Amazon and reading a few reviews had me blind buy this one, and I was taken aback from the vibe here. Now the difference in quality is clear: this is not as smooth as the real deal, however the scent profile is there to match it, especially the rose and oud combo. You can tell that since this is a cheap fragrance, it’s not really blended well initially, I had to let this fragrance sit and breathe for a moment to really grow into its personality, because the first spray was a beautiful rose opening, then the next spray was nothing but a dull oud. I read reviews about how many dupes need to allow oxygen in the bottle to let the scent somewhat change overtime. Now I’m not sure how true this is, but I can say it seemed to work for this fragrance. My favourite thing about this fragrance is how strong it is without being cloying: I am constantly smelling this off my hands and chest, however it’s not headache-inducing or overbearing. The rose is incredibly soft, especially being such a cheap scent. If anything else, I get just a bit of vanilla. I wonder how good the sillage is on this, considering it’s all I pick up. One thing to note is when I spray it on my skin, the rose is wonderful, but when I spray it on my shirt, the rose takes time to come out, and the dull oud is there in the beginning. So many dupe houses love a synthetic oud note where two sprays made me nauseous: I can say so far that my experience with this one has been fantastic. I love MFK’s version but didn’t want to spend the $400 even on discounters. Maybe this fragrance will change overtime as I allow the cap off of it on my shelf, but this is a solid dupe of MFK’s version. 7/10 - a dominant rose with just a hint of oud and vanilla.

I got mine from Filled with Bakarah as a 3 part gift box, and they sent me perfume by Brandy Designs instead of Fragrance World. But BD isn’t on Fragrantica. This looks *exactly* like the FW packaging with “Brandy Designs” instead of “Fragrance World”. Is it a dupe of a dupe? Is it the actual FW perfume with a different label? There’s a BD website, but their london office is supposedly closed (according to British business license website). It’s a mystery. I am a huge lover of violet, and have been looking for a long lasting violet scent. This one is pretty good. Violet with amber is the predominate combo and it seems to be lasting for at least 3 hours now. For a while there was a background of a metallic note in the background. I do think I’ll wear it again. I want to try layering it with two other violet perfumes I have and see if I can boost the violet note more. I am frustrated that Brandy Designs is not on here. I emailed the editors, and I also mentioned it on the forum thread they have. There’s definitely some kind of chicanery going on with the brand and I would like to know what it is.

When I first got this about a month ago- I could not make heads or tails of it. To me, it did not smell like Oud Satin Mood ..or did it ? I was kinda confused . I have been trying this out almost every day now and I did come to a conclusion: this smells like pure natural rosewater (but unlike washing your face with rosewater and having the smell vanish in a moment-- this has decent longevity and a soft scent bubble). I get the feeling that this will not gather compliments . This is light and friendly rosewater . A good Unisex deal for the price and fits in for different occasions . GRADE: B. PRO-TIP: I layered this with a BR540 clone and it was perfect! Wow.

For $15-20, this is surprisingly good. Doesn't smell cheap, the oud note is a lot more natural than, say, a Montale, it's reasonably close to the original. It is NUCLEAR and ETERNAL. I am a chronic and sometimes ridiculous oversprayer, but this is a 2 spray MAXIMUM for me. Lasts so long that I've had to scrub it off at the 12 hour mark. Some guys might find it too feminine - it's a sweet powdery rose fragrance. if you know and like the OG, and have reasonable expectations for a cheapie, this is a great buy.

Very good review from MikeT626, I agree with all of it. I would add also that at first, it definitely has a strong note of baby wipes / toilet spray. I hope it will change with time but so far it stays even in the dry down. Mixed feelings about it. But definitely not a 1:1 oud satin mood. It's similar in many ways but it is more synthetic, more flat, and more harsh. Less soft and polished, less classy.

Its been about a week, I loved the scent out of the bottle since it smells like Turkish Delight. It growing more mature and leaning away from the sweetness of it which I appreciate even more. Really nice scent especially for the price and especially the performance. Worth a try imo. 8.5/10

85% close to MFK Oud Satin Mood. Lovely combination of powdery rose, velvet, vanilla and subtle oud. Lasts a long time on skin, and projects well with a nice sillage. Smells opulent and middle eastern but with a western twist. I think women would definitely find it sexy and interesting.
