Bois de Bois

A great alternative to the famous Bois Impérial has arrived! 🙂 The fragrance is very well done and smells extremely close to the original. On my skin, it actually smells the way the original Bois Impérial comes across in the air, which is a big plus. 🙂 It feels a bit more subtle and less aggressive—smoother and more rounded—which I personally see as another advantage. Longevity is very good, with moderate projection, yet it’s definitely noticeable. It does need about a month (or a bit longer) to macerate and reveal its full potential, but even now, I think this is excellent. Highly recommended, especially at half the price or less! 10/10

Better than the overpriced Hersh Lahab. Highly recomended if you like the DNA of Bois Imperial but you don't wanna spend 50 dollars on a clone/dupe perfume (Lahab or Assaf Attack). That's an initial review without maceration, so I will let it set on the shelf for a month and comeback with an updated review.

Nose Note #951 Super close to Bois Imperial, but noticeably weaker. This is definately not "strong" like the votes tell you. Not strong like the OG. It is precisely the same hairspray-like DNA that's fresh, metallic and mineralic. Somewhat like Ganymede, but simpler and more crowdpleasing, more "aquatic" if you can apply that word to this DNA. To my nose this is perfectly unisex. Medium performance overall. It does stay on clothes as a faint scent for more than a day though. 7/10, overall not my cup of tea. I prefer Ganymede DNA much better

Unfortunately, Boise de Bois didn’t live up to my expectations. Unlike the original - Bois Imperial - I can smell something that reminds me of a "barn-like" note here. In the air, it smells nice and quite similar to Bois Imperial, but when I smell it up close (both on skin and on a paper blotter), that barn-like scent becomes noticeable to me.

I received my bottle of Bois de Bois earlier today. I also have a 10 ml of the original and to my nose, they are the same to the point that I cannot recognize any difference. Longevity of course is a different story but smell-wise, this is 1:1. I am happy I saved money for not buying the full bottle of Bois Imperial. This will do for me.

Smells like slightly metallic air coming from an aircon. Like Maison Alhambra’s clone of Ganymede but much more tame and much, much weaker. Basically smells like a corporate office.

Can anyone do a review of what elements they can smell for those of us who haven't smelled the "smells like" fragrances?
