D'hommes Sport

FINALLY, this is on Fragrantica! I smelled several iterations of Dior Homme Sport on test strips mostly, but I put the 2021 version on skin and really enjoyed it. It smelled like a drink of lemonade just on the outskirts of the woods. Very pleasant and surprisingly good longevity. I got about 8+ hours out of it (fragrances does tend to last longer off my skin). This fragrance does remind me of the 2021 version, but also the former iterations as well somewhat...to my nose. So, it's definitely inside the ballpark in regards to what this is a rendition of. Big fan of this scent. Projection is decent the first hour, maybe just past the elbows...after that it pulls back into your personal bubble. The sillage is good with this one...that lemon is easy to pick up for several hours walking past others. The longevity is the thing that surprised me...I thought this wouldn't last very long, maybe 6 hours. I'm getting about 8 hours off my skin. This is a very underrated fragrance. Great for the spring, summer, and early parts of the fall because of the woody nuances in the base...I'll go for something else in the winter. This a great for the office, casual, hanging out, going out socializing. This isn't a club scent though, not strong enough to compete with projection beasts. I'd probably go for something else formally as well. Scent: 8.5 Projection: 7 Sillage: 8.5 Longevity: 9 Price: 10 (sub $20 is tough to complain about) Overall: 8.6

Idk if this is like 08, 12 or 20 but I do know it makes me smell like the man!!! How is this fragrance this frickin good for $20??? I love the slight smoke I get off my skin with all the brightness and woods. Women of all ages love this scent and so do I!!! I may need a decant to get more than 5 hours but I’ll make do. I find myself giggling at the cost of this lovely scent. Edit: I actually just sprayed 2021 and to my nose it’s pretty close but this is brighter. 2021 more woody or perhaps it’s vetiver but definitely less bright. Oddly in comparison side by side I pick up a water note now off this one maybe like dew. Anyway I would say 70 ish % similar. Again, it’s $20. 😂

Nose Note #201 I have OG DHS 2017 and it's very different, like two different perfumes altogether. This one is more lemonade, the DHS 2017 is more fir like Hugo Man because of the blood orange note. This one is definitely more "sport" and more light. Hence performs and pushes off worse. But this Fragrance World DNA (Maybe the old-old DHS, the first one?) is more pleasant

i don't understand how people confuse or compare this with any other Dior Homme Sport, this is clearly a Dior Homme Sport 2012 and its a good clone i say 85 to 90% the same but let it mature after spraying a couple of times. you will be rewarded after, it's very nice and i get tons of compliments.

This fragrance is similar to Dior Homme Sport and better smoother

When I first got my bottle, it smelled a lot like a slightly lower quality DHS 2017, but after a few months in the dark, it has changed quite a bit. I have DHS 2017, this doesn't smell quite like it. Athough they are quite different now, this does smell incredible and has a similar fresh citrus in the opening. The top notes are very natural smelling (not something I can say too often with FW's citrus top notes). I definitely get a little nutmeg and spice as the top notes fade (which happens relatively quickly). I'm also getting some sweet tonka and iris with this which are not notes in DHS 2017, which makes me think that this is based off of an earlier iteration of DHS, possibly DHS 2007 or DHS 2012? When it gets down to the base, this has a slightly metallic, woody base with some smokiness. Again not features of DHS 2017. To me, the base smells like vetiver, musk, and sandalwood and reminds me, oddly enough, of a lighter and much less abrasive version of the end stages of Club de Nuit Iconic, which is a Bleu de Chanel clone, of all things (and not a very close one in my opinion). Longevity is what you would expect for a clone of a freshy from FW. I get no more than 5 hours out of this, but at this price, you can easily reapply. Projection is moderate for the first hour and slowly recedes as the wear goes on. It's mostly a skin scent for the last few hours. Definitely a frag that will sing in the Spring and Summer, but like any freshy, can be worn anytime really. Unisex, leaning masculine like most of the Dior Homme Iris DNA fragrances. Slam dunk dumb reach freshy for the warm months and a no brainer for the price. Again, I've never smelled the earlier DHS formulations, but to me, this smells like a mix of Prada l'Homme EDT and Dior Homme Sport 2017. The caveat is the performance is noticeably less than Prada l'Homme (especially the pre-2022 Puig Made in Spain batches), yet only marginally behind DHS 2017. 81/100

To those below, yes it's different from 2021 and 2017 versions because it's claiming to clone the 2008 original version. Dior puts pretty different scents into the same bottle every few years, which is annoying. So it's aiming for a soft blend of citrus, ginger, and smooth woods (sandalwood/cedar). I'd say it succeeds overall and last 7+hrs on my skin. Far dry down has a rather odd musk/fixative smell to me. Not too bad but very much like the musks used in some lotions. Tbh, I was gonna say this had little of the mid-notes, but if I smell it back to back with another freshie, like Versace Pour Homme, then the warm pepper and nutmeg pop out among the citrus and musk. Also to me this smells nothing like Chrome. Same function or category ≠ same smell. Performance isn’t strong. That kinda nice of you’re wearing with when working out or in the office where you don’t want screaming strong cologne. But a drawback if you’d like strong. I get projection for 4-6hours. So more than enough for gym or office wear. I wear Mancera when I want to fill a room.

Certainly looks to be trying to clone the 2008 version. I have no experience with 2008...so this review stands on this particular fragrances merit alone...and this fragrance is good. Opens citrusy...but a mellowed citrus opening. It quickly morphs to the dry down, and I get a very pleasant gentleman’s vibe. A combo of nutmeg and vetiver. If sandalwood is there, it’s simply adding depth the the other two. If anything, it gives me shades of the newest Dior Homme, which I also like. I will wear this year round. Almost every occasion...also it gives me a more day time office vibe. Projection and longevity are average. Certainly will need to reapply this. Overall, for the price, I feel that this is a steal. I would not hesitate to recommend this to someone.

Great freshie that I enjoy wearing. What’s not to like? As long as you remember that it’s a budget fragrance that is inspired by a higher priced designer, you’ll enjoy this. Perspective matters and this right here is a spring/summer and early fall banger for under $20! Highly recommended. 8/10

As someone who absolutely obsessed with the original 2008 Dior Homme Sport, this isn't it. It's close, but it's missing the ginger heart that made the 2008 version so amazing. I do like this, but it's no close dupe for the original. I just can't believe Dior changed it in the first place.

#1338 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I have no experience with the 2008 version of the Dior. My Dior "Sport" bottle is the 2021 version and this is not that. It's a very standard citric freshie, which is also how I see the Dior I have. Nothing special. Nothing you can't get from any under $20 freshie EDT in terms of scent or performance. If you have any "Invictus", Chanel "Allure Homme Sport", Hugo "Dark Blue", any Natura "Homem", any O Boticario "Zaad", any ADP "Blu Mediterraneo", or for that matter any Nautica, Azzaro "Chrome", Lanvin, Dis Lui, Tommy Bahama "Maritime" or island scent, neither this nor the Dior sport gives you anything you don't already have. This is the sort of scent you keep in the car for when you're done with a run in the park. A sport scent is a sport scent is a sport scent. You can wear them anywhere since they fade quickly and largely go unnoticed. Always a zero projection skin scent in a couple of hours. Pleasant enough, but indifferent. No sport scent is worth more than $20. And with most of the sport scents I've tried I've come away feeling like I may as well have gotten a $10 bottle of Adidas. Truthfully, the Milton-Lloyd ":Colour Me" scents, which go for around $10, are as good as any sport scents selling for $100.

This is really really weak, 1 hour maximum and it completely fades from skin - even before that just barely a skin scent. Smells ok for the short duration. The crazy part is this is supposed to be EDP. I see microparticles inside that could indicate the product is not macerated enough or badly mixed (solids should have been dissolved into the mix). Batch from December 2022 - so it had a lot of time to macerate while in deposit - and still has these visible particles.

I have DHS from about ten years ago and recently picked up a new bottle of DHS. I thought I would try this D’Homme Sport as a fill in for gym and running around. This stuff is a waste. Just sprayed on 9 full sprays and I literally cannot smell it. If I burry my nose into my arm I get a faint wiff of alcohol and a pinch of incense smoke. If I pull my nose back 4 inches I cannot detect it. Even at $20 D’Hommes Sport is a hard pass.
