Fresh As Citrus

Smells like vintage orange and citruses with a little bitterness to it, this brings a nostalgic feeling to me.

Very heavy citrus, and for a while we can only smell the strong citrus and that's all. Gotta layer this with something, or else, i'm afraid you'll smell like a hanging plastic lemon air freshener if you know what i mean..

Opens nicely but in 2 minutes starts to smell like wash powder on my skin

Wooo.... I get curry. I don't like it at all. This looks like they were supposed to be going to be going for the look of Herbers Troublantes, but I think they missed the mark.... WAY OFF the mark. This smells like an Indian restaurant. Just curry. Wow, in a bad way!

This is, without comparison, the single-worst fragrance I have ever possessed. Straight up offensive with zero redeeming qualities.

I have been wearing this for years. I purchased it immediately upon release, because a YouTube video told me it was a clone for Guerlain Frenchy Lavande. it is definitely not a 1:1 clone. However, it is wonderful in it's own way. The fragrance opens with a refreshing blast of lemon and verbena. The lemon is juicy and satisfying: more juice than peel. The verbena is clean, green, leafy and sweet-- similar to petitgrain but without any bitterness. The sage and lavender are wonderful counterpoints to the heart of lemon verbena. They turn the perfume in a slightly barbershop direction: adding powdery and aromatic nuances, but always smiling clean and fresh. The base is where the perfume really shows it's true colors, and might surprise a few noses. It is not sparkling and clean like the introduction. Instead, it is musky and definitively masculine. Ambergris enters the picture. It is salty, sandy and lightly animalic. The smell is evocative of a man's skin after a swim, his sun kissed skin drying on the beach. He is a handsome European man in the south of France. He has impeccable hygiene but does not wear deodorant or sunscreen. He tans easily. The beach is nestled in a cove of Pampas grass: represented by vetiver in this perfume. The tall, swaying grass has been scorched by the summer sun. It smells green and hay like, yet dessicated and dry, like pencil shavings. As the perfume dries down, an unlisted cumin note appears. The handsome French man has been baking on the beach for quite some time. Sweaty and savory notes emanate from his body, touched by powdery sweetness, represented through tonka. Although I find most perfumes to be unisex, I think this gem would smell best on a man-- more specifically a gentleman over age 25. This perfume is evocative of vintage men's colognes like Eau Sauvage: that achieve a fresh effect using natural aromatics rather than generic "blue" or "ocean" notes. Although this perfume is musky, it is never skanky. Although this perfume is classic and vintage, it does not smell dated or like your grandpa. I recommend this for confident men, especially for Summer.

Massive lemon pledge vibe. After a couple of hours it settles down and turns more woody and citrus. It's heavy citrus and not in a good way. Kind of old fashioned smelling.

Just arrived and does low-key smell like curry powder, don't really wanna smell like curry spice tbh, will let it macerate and maybe that smell will go.
