Passion De Night

Imo this one is absolutely worth getting as the closest MP dupe that I smelled & comapred side by side with the legendary Midnight Poison (first formulation) - the opening is somehow smoother than MP, longevity seems pretty similar. Pretty sure anyone who loves a good rose + patchouli combo will love this one. It is absolutely addictive - I can't resist smelling the bottle whenever I come close to my perfume shelf, and whenever I use it on myself I can't stop smelling my wrists. The bergamot in the opening is amazing, makes me think of slightly sweet earl grey. I keep detecting a *very* delicate earl grey like scent in the background for several hours, it is pleasant and nostalgic. But the primary notes are intense rose + patchouli with a very tasteful & not overpowering vanilla in the background. So well blended, smooth like velvet. It is dark, moist, bewitching, somewhat unapologetic in its cliche gothness - very Phantom of the Opera style. For comparison, PDN is significantly sweeter and moister than Perles de Lalique. But the sweetness is dark, alluring, absolutely hypnotizing. I am obsessed to an unhealthy degree tbh. Whenever I smell it, I get lost in the scent and get vivid images in my mind that I will keep to myself.

Does anyone know if this perfume has been discontinued? It cannot be found anywhere anymore. It resembles the beautiful Midnight passion by Dior which is discontinued.

Wow!!! 🤩 soooo here I am having my morning coffee, looking for some chypres similar to my Barenia or Destin?? And this pops up!! A dupe of midnight poison!?? (It’s such a very very RARE thing, for those of us in the states, to see an Arabic dupe of something old school, a classic a NON gourmand (thank god 😬) and in a funky dark ethereal bottle too!!! Wow!! seeing this, honestly gives me hopes, that there are other OG Classics from the 80s and 90s that there are possibly other Arabic dupes for!!?? makes me want to go down some rabbit holes!?? IF ANYONE KNOWS IF THIS BRAND DID OTHER OG PERFUMES OF THIS ERA PLEASE DM ME I’M SUPER CURIOUS!?? 🧐 I’m a regular OG poison girlie and was always too in love with that, so never paid much attention to this beauty! I remember vaguely? That this poison was very “dry” rose dusty almost, poison? Hard to explain? But there was nothing soft about MP, that brought me in for more? Yet the bottle the advertisement of the time etc was sexy!! I preferred the sweeteness and the tuberose of the OG (and being that I wore poison for almost 40 years now it’s time for me to try the other ones that I missed which is literally all of them!!) ha I smelled ones similar to hypnotic and that one’s OK, still need to try poison girl and poison girl unexpected but that one really isn’t calling my name either? Would like to find a roller ball of that because the roller ball is super cute anyhoo I’m rambling!! If anyone knows if this brand did other classics from the poison era, let me know!?? I love this bottle I wished more Arabic perfumes used simple classic sexy bottles like this!! sometimes less is more people!! 😬 💕

I've got this and when I first got it it was just alcohol with a faint background smell of patchouli oil but after a few weeks it'd blossomed into something amazing. Citrus, rose, patchouli combo to die for. Smells exactly like Midnight Poison from my memory. I layer the Perfume Parlour oil version, with this and the Eden Perfumes version of MP (which isn't as close as this but is still really nice) and the three of them together makes a HUGE scent trail. I've had tons of compliments on this combo but you could definitely use this on its own. If you miss Midnight Poison and don't want to spend hundreds on a second hand bottle then just get this.
