Vanille en Tobacco

I'm a novice nose on a budget who is just starting out down a rabbit whole of Youtube fragrance content watching & Fragrantica review reading learning about where I should dip my toe in the waters first, mainly in relation to decent clones of pricey OG fragrances. I decided to post here first because there wasn't many reviews on Vanille en Tobacco by Fragrance World anywhere & I will only be the third one on here so far. Let me start out by saying I love the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille DNA, it is what inspired me to hunt out quality clones as there was no way I was going to fork out $650 New Zealand dollars just to smell half decent, this cost me $64 NZD 10% of the OG 100ml. I have tried & smelled the Tom Ford OG many times on skin & on testers in the stores & I currently own the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille body spray(gifted to me free) and Tobacco Touch by Maison Alhambra so this is what I am basing my review on. I am wearing FW Vanille en Tobacco for the first time today, 4hrs in & my initial take on the opening was quite negative it does have a nasty alcohol blast to start out that masks the true scent & if it stayed that way I would have thrown it straight in the bin BUT WAIT!... give it 5 mins to dry down a bit & its a whole new ball game. It gets very very close to the OG in my opinion albeit less rich, its sweeter with a decent amount of tobacco goodness & less vanilla but still enough to satisfy, its not as spicy as Tobacco Touch which is a good thing in my opinion especially if you are after something closer to 1 - 1. I think it projects more than TT with slightly better longevity therefore overall I can say it is my favorite TF TV clone so far, oh and the atomizer is pressurized which is also a plus over TT. I earn a decent crust and could get the OG if I really wanted to but its just to hard to justify it with a family in a cost of living crisis. This was a nice unboxing experience, it looks good on the shelf and honestly even if I was a millionaire id rather have a bottle of this a year for 10 years and spend the difference on the kids.

Very sweet opening with a powerful alcohol blast, dry down occurs quite quickly, and when it does, you're enveloped in a warmth of earthy, woody, sweet, strong tobacco >> of course, and leathery bouquet that lingers for several hours. So good longevity with decent silage and projection over the 4-hour range, this of course, may differ person to person as all skin tones and values are different. Overall, great value for money, quite a pleasant boozey bouquet of aromas that won't fail to attract compliments.

This is one that you need to let macerate for about a month for me, as it is really harsh and kind of nasty without it. But after the maceration it smells gorgeous, more sweeter opening and dry down but the tobacco and slight spices at the base really give it that warmth and edible feeling. Not sure about projection but it sits well on the skin and on clothes. Before the masceration I would say it is a very hard fragrance to like but after it's everything you want from a late night winter date.

Got me a tester first, then quickly ordered a bottle for like 20 Euros. Pretty good deal. People around me love it. doesn ́t radiate like crazy, but it remains on my clothes for days. and definitely sticks around for long. Will recommend, such a nice warm cold weather scent. Strange but it reminds me of honey in a way.

Tested it in store and just fell in love with it! more vanilla heavy and more sweet tobacco so it dosen't take over like many other (tobacco and vanilla) fragrances!

The clones rated: 1. FW Vanille en Tobacco 2. Charuto Tobacco Vanille 3. Tobacco Touch Haven't tried Amber Oud Tobacco Edition but also too expensive where I stay.

i have this and is very strong ,very nice smelling, anytime i choose rhis over the OG that has sth i just cant stand

In the opening i get spices, almost like food ingredients mixed with tobacco, then the vanilla comes through and mixes with the tobacco, then the spices move to the background. It lasts over 7 hours with strong projection. and my most favourite part in this fragrance is that, After it dries down, I get this lovely cocoa powder scent mixed with the dna which stays on for a long time. It's like you are in the club, smoked high quality cigars while wearing a vanilla based fragrance beforehand. Then you meet a chick who's wearing a pure chocolate perfume then you spend the night together. Certainly no complaints on my behalf.

Funny how, over a year later, I've just started to actually like it. Mind you, I'm not even a vanilla person and I've never smelt the OG. It's not overly sweet and cloying anymore. In addition to the vanilla, there's something slightly fresh and spicy. The booziness and the woodiness in the background are accentuated in the dry down and, finally, I was left with a lasting lovely smell, a surprised smile and hope for the future in the end.

The best thing about this is that I can't smell any cloves! I was looking for something like this after sampling Vanilla Club by Novellista and really enjoying the drydown but suffering through the opening. I don't know how the original smells but this one is very nice for me. Dry but sweet, like sniffing a box of tea that smells fruity and tobacco-ish. Cheap but hard to find though, I just ordered a FB from a retailer in Italy.

I’m really surprised no one has mentioned that this just smells like a box of clove cigarettes! I did have to let my sample oxidise a bit as at first it was a bit sickly and chemical. But now I love it and it’s so nostalgic...

Nose Note #709 Search no further for a Tobacco Vanille clone. Timeless stuff. Easy to wear, long lasting. Unisex slightly leaning masculine. 9.5/10, the DNA is lauded for a reason

pretty much 1/1 to the real thing. very strong in my opinion with crazy longevity and projection

For some reason this reminds me of an oil massage bar from Lush called Wiccy Magic Muscles. Bar is described as smelling like 'cinnamon and peppermint'..... ? Then add a bubblegum flavoured toothpaste. Tobacco comes through more on drydown. Not terrible. But not a buy - would rather buy Wiccy Bar.

I just got this fragrance I honestly didn’t like it in the first spray cause i don’t get the sweatiness. i think it need macerating?

too weak on my skin, i prefer eternal touch/tobacco touch for the scent and performance.

guaranteed headache inducing. there is no sweetness to this at all it's just chemical and harsh and bitter. And forget about it being a clone of TV, it's not even 10% similar, just a screechy harsh synthetic bleach mess What the hell even is this

This is 99% to Charuto Tobacco Vanille PARIS CORNER,pure raw tobacco,i like it its very nice but..let's leave out TF.
