Deep Forest

I'd say this is the weakest out of 5 perfumes that Frama has released so far, not overpowering so you can easily wear this to the office without suffocating everybody around. It has some woody notes, but it's more mild "damp forest after rain" than sharp green scent. For some reason I get a hint of dark chocolate in this too. Perfect scent for rainy days in autumn.

I blind bought this fragrance because of the ingredients and description, which made me curious. I already own Beratan from the same house, so I trusted it to be good. It proved to be very pleasant, but not as good as I had hoped. The name Deep Forest is somewhat misleading because it is neither deep nor forest-like green. It starts as a dusty and dry woody scent, comparable to the lovely Tam Dao by Diptyque. Just a bit greener and more floral. It soon becomes very faint and close to the skin, losing its character within two hours. In my experience this is very pleasant, but gone too soon and lacking power.

A balsamic and rich scent, very calming..it is a "forest scent" but not too green... the rose and orange make it warmer and give it a sophisticated character...first i tried from the house, interested to try more; Not a loud scent, I guess more suitable if you look for a nice and balanced scent without it being too overthrowing; I see it more for spring/fall, but could work all year round.

The comparison to Aesop's Hywl makes sense, if Hywl was produced in the 1970s. Like all of FRAMAs offerings, this has a certain out of date quality to it. The initial spray holds a very sharp balsamic, almost vinegar-like note that feels very medicinal, but on the skin it takes on a much more dusty and heavy note, which has similarities to what Hywl smells like at the beginning. Still, it's one of the more modern and inoffensive offerings in FRAMAs lineup.
