Be My Wife

For me this perfume has a very distinct opening, heart and mid. The opening is very green and aromatic, and herbal. The mid is all about the flowers and this is where the hint of powdery violet makes a polite appearance. The dry down features the vanilla and musk. The moss is aparent in the background the whole time giving it a slightly vintage feel. This absolutely must be experienced on skin. Left on the test strip I get all orange blossom, galbanum and fruit. On skin... Totally different! I enjoyed it!

Someone here said it doesn’t give off marriage vibes. I don’t know the story behind it, but this is my theory bout the fact that it actually is. So in my head- the name of the perfume and the way it smells is something like this: The perfume opens up literally smelling like grass ( which could mean a fresh start, like when you meet each other). Then, it goes a little bit powdery and musky, which feels just a little bit strange, but something draws you to it ( to them) something that feels almost like home. Yet, you think about it, you don’t know if you like this perfume or it’s just ok ( because I feel like there’s no part to dislike about it) - so you decide to calculate and try to understand the perfume ( the period when you count the ups and downs in a relationship, and try to give it a try). After a while, you start to smell a warm note ( I don’t know what it is) but if doesn’t feel like vanilla, like musk, maybe it’s a combination ( the feelings you start to have are getting deeper but not in that toxic way, but in a familiar way, when you feel like you’ve smelled this perfume forever, feels like you know it since it was a kid)- so this makes me thing about the methaphor between that smell you’ve known forever- the warm, powdery touch- which could be a form of true love, the love you knew as a kid but has not experienced it since you grew up and discovered it again, but this time, you don’t want to let go. You found her. You propose. And I feel like the art behind this, is the way it changes in the beginning SO MUCH, and ends up being a totally different perfume, you literally have 3-4 perfumes in this bottle throughout the day. Exactly like a first love, that goes to a relationship and after all, leads to marriage. THIS is why at the end of it’s performance, this one smells vintage. Because I guess she said yes, and you grew old together, time has passed and you’ve grown up so much. The bottle is also nice, like a costume, but white as a bride’s dress. Maybe I am dramatic, but consider this: I received this as a Christmas gift, and my boyfriend said while hugging me ( I love perfume and the best material gifts for me are perfumes) that this is a “simulation gift”. I could understand what he meant, but at the same time, I didn’t exactly, because he seemed happy in that moment, as if this was a hint about the fact that he would propose. So, considering my personal experience, the perfume, the name, the notes and the fact that I don’t know yet the story behind it, this is what this piece of art could make me feel. Perfumery should always be a type of art, and I guess people could think about the emotion it faves them. I hope someone reads this and understands what I’m saying. Thank you! ❤️

The pyramid on fragrantica is misleading and different from what Frack Boclet lists on the packaging. As if whoever posted it here wasn't paying attention when copying. This is an unexpected fragrance. When I saw the name I thought it would be sweet floral romance. It's nothing like that, it's a really stern and sober, but also loving marriage proposal. It starts with a citrus blast served on an oak moss platter. So much so, that in the beginning it feels quite masculine, despite being marketed as a female perfume. Then the floral heart begins to shine though, mainly rose mixed with the green mint leaves. The fruit mentioned in the pyramid might lurk there somewhere, but if they do, they have definitely been stripped of their sugars. The base for me consist of oak moss, maybe some musk. As time passes, the fragrance mellows out and starts its journey back to the female territory where it is supposed to be. It never quite gets there though and stays unisex. For me it is a fresh green chypre scent, very wearable, mostly daytime. Now the correct pyramid from the official Franck Boclet description: Top: tangerine, bergamot, spearmint, rosemary. Middle: rose, lilac, violet, orange blossom, green apple, raspberry, pineapple, galbanum. Base: musk, cedar, vanilla, moss.

Very fresh, floral, fruity, minty and aromatic fragrance I would say mostly suitable summer wear, it's a nice energetic scent
