Blue Moon

Wooow it is a very special but beautifule perfume. Yesterday I went to a niche store and from 100 perfume this was the best for me. I have at least 60 perfume but this is something new. Its Love at first sniff. First basil and bargamott with a hint of mint then the flowers and cedar- very good job, masterpiece! :) On me it's lasts above 12 hours and it has heavy sillage. EDIT: After 2 mounths I can say it's still perfect. Now the weather is warmer and this is more better...a heavenly creamy beauty! First the basil with the Mint then bergamot and cedar and the peony...a very well mixed uniqe perfume- it can be unisex but little in the woman side.

This fragrance reminds me of their own Flowers (edp line), it certainly has its dna, but this, being an extrait of course is smoother and classier. I also own Flowers and it is more sour than Blue Moon, but the prominent note that I detect is the same: lily of the valley. Too bad, longevity and silage wise, even though it's supposed to be an extrait, but it stays close to the skin (i wear 6 spritzes), and good only for about 6 hours... Maybe it's my skin chemistry, or maybe it needs a little more time to get better.

Ok....I need help....I received a carded sample of this with my purchase of something from Histoire de Parfums....and I tried this.....and according to the carded sample.. it's in the rock and riot collection....called blue moon.....but it CANNOT be this one. The one I have is almost all iris and Ylang Ylang and maybe cedar. I got zero citrus in the initial spray...so either...the one I have IS a different one....or it was labeled incorrectly

So I received my bottle today and to me this is slightly sweet but fresh and Spicy basil rose scent. I can smell the Rose note and spicy peppery basil the most. The spiciness comes from basil, it’s the basil that already has flowers blooming, and it gives out that’s slight spicy floral peppery smell. At the dry down, the Rose is more noticeable and the spiciness mallows down, it becomes slightly powdery. Reminds me of two fragrances I have smelled before and it’s Cicuta by V Canto - more of a velvety sweet rose than blue moon and Kilian Woman in Gold - a little softer less spicy. Overall it’s very nice and does have a very niche quality scent to it. Quite unique even tho it reminds of those two. I love how it changes on the skin, and sillage is very pretty every time I move my hand I can smell it. Also a little goes a long way, it’s pretty strong, don’t let the notes deceive you, it is not light and airy and fresh like at least I thought it would be.

The Alice In Wonderland version of a fragrance. It's like the olfactory embodiment of the Very Happy Unbirthday scene in the Disney cartoon--cheerfully deranged and clamoring with peculiarities. Unisex and unconventional. A fragrance that pulls in every direction, by turns candy-sweet, minty-cool, herbaceous-green, elegantly-floral, freshly-spicy, brightly-citrusy, and smoothly-woody. Every note in the breakdown is present and accounted for, and they all think they’re the main character. Each note blends amicably with at least two others, but the whole fragrance simply refuses to settle down into any sort of sensible configuration. The olfactory equivalent of every member in a marching band grooving out to their own personal favorite riff (and having a great time doing it). Curiouser and curiouser. I kind of want a travel size of this. Partially as a novelty, and partially because I actually like its offbeat playfulness.

The pyramid listed here is not complete. Brand also lists rose, jasmine and lily of the valley. It's kinda important since these flowers are at the heart of the perfume. The official tagline is "A floral hesperid harmony" and I could not agree more. This is a beautiful airy and light blend of citruses and non-sugary and light romantic flowers. Delicate and young rose and peony are the stars for me, flanked by jasmine (without the indolic component) and a tiny drop of lily of the valley. Plus an additional note of ozonic freshly cut grass. All of this freshened up with lively citruses. It kinda feels like this comes without any grounding heavier base notes, everything is so airy and joyful. This is a perfect refreshing and girly perfume for summer days.

On a 1st sniff, right from the atomizer and cap, it seems familiar... I close my eyes and my beloved Very Valentino comes to mind - could it be??? I spray it on my arm and I still recognize the ethereal, green, moist meadow, fairy garden that always comes to my mind when I smell my treasured 1999's bottle. But Blue Moon also has herbal and spice fairies flowing around a thousand peony petals.... it's a feast, it's midnight summer dream under a gorgeous moon and I'm thankful i decided to try it on a hot and humid summer night, so all it's beauty can manifest...

This is one of the best green scents I have ever smelled ! The sweet basil is quite realistic and it plays nicely with mint . Soon the herbs are joined by some citron and soft florals . The florals develop softly and the citron gives way to fresh cut grass and more greens . Although in the beginning I cannot smell anything sweet at all , a while later a hint of sweetness shows up , and continues to embrace the flowery aspect softly . The florals are delicate , indistinguishable, maybe a bit fresh rosy . The scent is very complex and reminds me of well done classics , it has a “chanel”-ish qualify. This is the middle phase. As time passes, the perfume gains sweetness. I don't smell vanilla, but by the time it's almost gone, a few hours later, my skin does smell like cotton candy, without being gourmand though... it's as if the cotton candy flavour is there but without the sugar... This is a truly incredible transformation from where it started. Blue Moon is an extrait de parfum . It goes through many facets, not linear at all . It has good persistence and moderate to high silage . On clothes it lasts for days, on my skin at least 8 hours. It’s definitely unisex but leans a little feminine, especially towards the dry down. The bottle is white with a heavy gold cap and gold plaque on the front . I was surprised by how uneven the seams of the bottle are. It is in the same family with other gorgeous green scents , like Un Dimanche a la campagne by Guerlain , less sparkly and less citrusy than that and Cristalle Concentre de Eau Verte by Chanel more flowery that this. This is not a safe scent. It is strong and might be bothersome to certain people. In my opinion you should not blind buy this like I did but I am glad I did. Overall , a real masterpiece . Green scents are difficult to get done right , and this is glorious. A chameleonic and unique scent , it is my first Franck Bocklet and I am impressed ...! This fragrance is so interesting to me. It’s a shape shifter. Not my typical type of fragrance that’s for sure but I found myself wearing it twice in a row. I’m not a big fan of green scents but I’m coming around to some and this one will be the first in my collection. It’s not super green though meaning it’s more than just it’s green aspects but it’s honestly the best green fragrance I’ve tried thus far. I’ve tried some green fragrances that smell very vegetal and this isn’t that and as the fragrance wears on it becomes sweeter. The opening is a lot different to the dry down but I enjoy it at all stages and each stage blends into the next seamlessly. Definitely worth a sample. It’s got great performance as well, I wore it while being outside and kept getting whiffs of it for hours and lasts forever on clothes. I think it’s perfect for the spring weather. Very unconventional scent but also very charming. I found a great deal on it so I got a full bottle.

I dont know what Happyme2009 is smelling but this is certainly not a green nor citrusy composition! You are correct tejanissimo. This is iris-cedar supported by creamy, musky, and powdery notes. This parfum also reminds me of lilacs. This smells like white Dove soap original.

First impression: Iris heavy (notes combined smell like iris) Feminine. Makeup powder women wear with pretty floral notes? The indistinct woods balance it out. There is definitely a market for this type of perfume.

Fragrance for romantic date,in the night off the fool moon. Fresh, balsamic,For all sessions.Gentle side of Goddess Hecate.. beautiful . If you want to fall in love , this is perfect choice
