Made Of Sand

I like it. Smooth like cashmere! I get a coconut water vibe in the background with eucalyptus and cedar being dominant. Smooth, clean, and signature-scent worthy

I was interested to see if this smelled like sand but I could not find a review anywhere so I blind bought it. Bottle presentation is pretty cool with the old school bulb atomizer. The scent is very fresh, clean, aromatic, woody, and musky. Top notes are not overly camphoric but there is a touch of eucalyptus and geranium that gives it an immediate lift off of brightness, without the use of traditional citrus top notes, which is unique. There's a bit of juniper with a prominent driftwood that gives it an immediate cleanliness. This is quickly followed by the base which is a clean musk, but without powder, and perhaps additional hidden notes of lavender and cedar. There's ambrox and iso e super as well. There a touch of vetiver but not the rooty variety, along with oakmoss (evernyl). These fixatives combined with the oakmoss give little green streak that reminds me of Grapevine Cedarwood (which starts off similar to Sauvage) and It also reminds me of the soapy clean musk and lavender from English Laundry Signature The million dollar question (for me anyway) is does it smell like sand? Yes, sort of, but it's a bit of a reach. There's a little graininess that gives you somewhat an impression of a dry, sandy wind. But if you smelled this blind, you wouldn't think of sand like you would with Comptior Suds de Pacific, or Montale Sandflowers. Typically, sand accords are created with immortelle but here, they took a different and more modern (read chemical) approach. It's okay when you don't want anything challenging and are just looking for something clean and easy to wear. Scent 70/100 Perfomance 60/100
