Chanel Egoiste Platinum has a special place in my heart and will always be one of those fragrances that will have a place on my shelf. It was 1997 and growing up my mom started to get me perfumes as gifts. Chanel Egoiste Platinum has been one of those frags, and since then, I always had a bottle. Still today I own those old bottles. So when I heard that out there there's a very good clone by Franck Olivier, I just had to try it and man, I'm impressed. After the initial burst of alcohol, the Egoiste Platinum vibe kicks in, and is good, really really good. Is not rich and deep as the original, maybe we can say a bit " watered down ", a bit sweeter, and not so much metallic as the original one ( which for some is a good thing ), but the similarity is insanely close at a fraction of the price. If compared with the actual batches of Egoiste, I would say that this projects more and overall performance is longer. It's quite close to the old versions with 4 solid hours of projection, even more. To the casual wearer, if you tell him/her this is a Chanel, they would believe you, they would not spot the difference. So this has been an amazing surprise, an incredible alternative for when I feel to wear Egoiste without the need to use the original which is clearly, a lot more expensive. This has been hands down my best discovery of 2020, and any P.E. lovers should at least give it a try. 20€ for a 100ml ?!!? Steal. Need a backup bottle ASAP.

I bought this maybe a week ago. Sprayed it on my wrist - a pleasant fresh, green, clean, masculine opening. But within seconds became a skin scent and was completely gone in just a few minutes. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I expected it to maybe smell cheap but at least have some lasting power. So I put it on a shelf for a few days. Yesterday I decided to give it another go. After the shower I sprayed my neck three times and both of my arms two times. I sort of expected it to disappear again but I was amazed instead. Immediately I was surrounded with clean and tart masculine freshness, slightly spicy and herbaceous. Very pleasant, very old school. And this time the lasting power was there - I could get amazing whiffs of this fragrance during the whole evening up until I went to bed (and it was late - 2 am or so). And first thing in the morning I smelled my arm and it is still there and still amazing. Sorry for the cumbersome review - I just woke up and decided to share my thoughts immediately. This is a great fragrance, highly recommended to at least try if you're a fan of platinum egoiste. It may be not as rich and succulent, not as loud in the opening but it is very affordable and it does it's job. I can't believe I bought it on sale for just 12 bucks. I wish they had 200 ml bottles of this cause I want to bathe in it now. Definitely stocking up on this.

I'm turning into a clone hunter. Okay, my first experience with Franck Olivier and it's very very very impressive. Note that Chanel's Platinum Egoiste (PE) shouldn't be hard to copy; it's a fresh, metallic, slightly woody, floral barbershop fragrance for the 90s. Finding a similar fragrance was important for me because even though PE is one of my all time favourites, the EdT spray is too strong and leaves me congested (similar to Bleu EdT). The woods in this fragrance are mute, that would be the major difference between Franck's EdP and Chanel's PE; I miss Chanel's more resiny woody notes. I tried Eau de Passion and on paper, I thought it was slightly different. Aerosol lemony, aquatic and metallic upon spraying. On my skin, the scent is less harsh and no sinus trouble! Geranium is definitely there and so is Lavender. This stuff is great. I'm 5 hours in and projection is still good. This is not a loud fragrance, this is a classic fragrance. This is sporty, clean, and inviting. It is not sweet and I still love this scent as compared to other 'fresh' fragrances (e.g. AdG or Issey). In my books, this is a winner and definitely makes me curious about the other Franck Olivier frags. It can be worn out of the shower and can be dressed up or down in any season. Great fragrance!

I've waited for 2 hours+ after spraying this on to write this review! I 100% agree with the previous reviews, this fragrance is a Dead Ringer for Platinum Egoiste! I sacrificed a spray of my dwindling bottle P.E. to do a wrist comparison and I'll be damned I can't tell them apart! Curious thing, P.E. always gives me sneeze or two whenever I spray it on and did so again today, but Eau de Passion skipped right over that part!I'm literally giddy, the smell of P.E. for under $20 AND FREE SHIPPING? I'd call myself a liar if I wasn't wearing it! This might be my all-time favorite blind buy! Thank You to all you folks who gave your honest impressions!I've already ordered a second bottle just before settling down to type this rave! And speaking of bottles the bottle this comes in is very nice indeed! What originally brought me here was that I was looking thru reviews of Oud Touch which also is heading my way, but I'm damn glad I read the reviews for Franck Olivier's other offerings! Chanel Platinum Egoiste has been one of my favorite frags since I first received a bottle as a gift for my 21st Birthday (many many moons ago now, ha ha) Along with Paco Rabanne Pour Homme it has been my go-to when I can't decide what else to wear I'm stunned just how well the house of Franck Olivier replicated the amazing scent that is CPE My only complaint is that the sprayer on my bottle offers pretty poor distribution. More like a squirt than a mist. And sadly my Franck Olivier Bamboo for Men has the same issue. (Maybe I just got a bad sprayer? Would like to hear feedback from others) But the frag itself is very well done. I can't give the frag a 10/10 simply because it is a clone. But it does have good longevity too which can't be said about many clones. It's a great backup to CPE OR if you don't have CPE money then it's a definite yes. I’ve owned several bottles of platinum egoiste over the years. Always loved the scent but each bottle of PE has been more watered down than the previous I’ve found. I’ve had Eau de Passion a couple years now. Truly, I’ll never buy platinum e again. Save your money and buy this if you’re a platinum fan. Performs better. Smells ALMOST identical. To my nose anyway. I still have a bottle of platinum so I have compared the two together for, like I said, two years now. This is masculine, metallic, a combination of barbershop fougre meets mass appeal sport-blue-like modern, soapy flowers. Not dated at all, timeless, like the green Irish tweed scent profile also has that timeless appeal. I picture a well groomed man between 20-60 ‘s wearing this, runs and works out throughout his week, alpha, knows what’s he’s doing in life, eats well, takes care of himself. So glad I found this one so I can retire Platinum when my bottle runs out!

This smells absolutely amazing. Frank Olivier has managed to reproduce the scent of Chanel's Platinum Egoiste but for $20. It literally smells identical to Platinum Egoiste to my nose. It opens with the same very cooling barbershop accord of neroli, vetiver, geranium, lavender, mint, and rosemary, and dries down into the lavender-geranium-mint scent of Platinum Egoiste. Platinum Egoiste is my favourite barbershop cologne of all time and I'm happy that Eau de Passion Men performs well enough that I don't even need to buy the actual thing (which I might add is very overpriced by Chanel). Sillage and longevity are similar to the actual Platinum Egoiste on my skin, projecting well for 4-5 hours and then quiet for many hours more after that. Overall it's a really great rendition of Platinum Egoiste for a fraction of the price; I also love how the bottle looks. 4.5/5

I tested this hand to hand with Chanel Platinum Egoiste. Franck is very very close to Chanel Platinum Egoiste. Opening is heavy on lavender and reminds me of cheap barbershop smell. That part can turn many off. Once you pass the opening, after 15minutes it turns 99% into Chanel Platinum Egoiste. From a distance you or people that can smell you will not be able to tell the difference if this is Chanel Platinum Egoiste and Franck's Eau de Passion except that missing metallic note which is the trademark of PE and to be honest not everyone likes that vibe. Overall its definitely worth it. I use it when I want to save my OG Chanel PE because now-a-days it's quite expensive and Franck you can get for 20$ so it's a bang for your buck. Just be patient with the opening. It's not expensive, does smell great and it's fantastic office scent. 8/10

I reckon we have to be realistic here, fir the price you can't go wrong with this. Either it's 70% close to chanel or 90% the reality is it's close enough to get the job done with decent performance. Beautiful coming out of the shower and apply couple of sprays can't ask for more. No complain for $15 whatsoever. So considering the price and the scent I'll give it a solid 5 out of 5.i mean you can buy the real deal for 10 times more and go through the details and give it less but not with this cheapie. I'm so happy with it and absolutely blind buy worthy. Cheers. PS ; just have your morning coffee at home for 3 days and save for this 😅 My wife thought it's chanel platinum till I mentioned and stiil couldn't believe me. Woah! There is only one other fragrance that reminds me of sex, and that’s Mugler A-Men, chocolate, leather, musk. If that one reminds me of sex, this one reminds me of making love, soft, sweet, aromatic. It’s softer but just as sexy. All the reviews were bang on with this one. I’ve never smelled Egoiste by Chanel, but if this really is a clone of it I feel as though I missed out on a great scent. It’s beautiful, fresh, and lingering. This is truly something special. A very pleasant smelling citrus musky fragrance. This one has spring/summer written all over it. Its not that sweet and it did very well in the high heat. I got about 8 hours of strong performance and another 2 hours of skin scent,so for a fresh fragrance that's awesome performance. I see that everywhere people say its similar to a Chanel fragrance,but I have never smelled that one so I can't say. What I will say that for the price this is a steal and its perfect for travel to warm weather areas. And since its so cheap you don't have to worry about losing it.

I purchased this one based off of the reviews saying it is a dead ringer for Chanel's Platinum Egoiste. It's very, very close! I agree with @Joey79 The only difference I see is the performance category being the major one. It doesn't project as much as Platinum Egoiste and it certainly doesn't last as long. Very good imitation, but the overall performance is lacking. I will certainly buy another of these bottles to have as a backup, but I would prefer my original PE compared to this. 6/10 for me! As someone who owns the Platinum Egoist I can say that this is one of the better analogs. Platinum egoist I own has a bit more if that natural bitterness in sillage, while this is more soapy. But it is very hard to tell apart. It has a good staying power, longevity is above average, sillage is also somewhat above average. In general it is a good alternative. I wish they made a soap or a shower gel. Do try it, you will not be disappointed.

Real close to Chanel Platinum Egoiste. Smells great, floral (to me the geranium stands out particularly) and definitely like a much more expensive fragrance than what this bargain can be purchased for. UPDATE: even when I think this has worn off hours after applying it, I keep getting whiffs of it for many hours. It just keeps coming and going when I least expect it. Definitely going to purchase again when this bottle runs out of juice.

I’m not a fragrance connaisseur but I do LOVE them, and buy when I have extra funds. Platinum egoiste was by far my fave , but I broke the bottle and lost it all. I wasn’t gonna buy a new one so I tried this , and to me I can’t tell a damn difference. I haven’t sniffed PE in a while but sniffing this brought me right back. I just got today I’ll report back

Nose Note #547 Yes, baby!!! This is a fantastic dupe of Egoiste Platinum, it has everything. The most important thing that I was looking for is that bitter herbaceousness, and it's absolutely there. Great, what a find. And it's long lasting too! Just like the OG or maybe even better. 9.5/10, perfect Egoiste Platinum substitute

It's very true just like the last reviewer said it has one of the worst caps ever on a bottle of perfume.....but... at the same time... the perfume in the bottle is quite delicate... beautiful..... amazing!!!! smells so wonderful!!! the scent 8.5/10 strength/longevity 7.0/10 HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

I got a decant of this one, just out of curiosity. And that's really impressive how well they managed to imitate Platinum Egoiste... Of course, one can feel it's not as high in terms of quality compared to PE, but more than a foot away, it's really hard to tell the difference.

Platinum Egoiste with an extra spicy floral kick, thanks to the dominant geranium note. It's much lighter and airier, feels like frosty aromatic air. Lasts around 5 hrs on my skin, projects strongly for the first hour before becoming quite tame. Will need to be reapplied.

The only problem with this is the cap, I bought on line and when it arrived to my home the cap wasn't on its place. The box is soak and 20% of juice are wasted. Its similar to chanel platinum egoist, For me it project about 4 or more hrs and more than 12hrs is longevity

For me this is the best fresh fragrance there is. It manages to pull off cleanness without soapiness, freshness while keeping depth and character without becoming cloying. It is light, full. True masterpiece.

clone of platinum Egoiste. a perfect fragrance for Office and daytime. i think good for Spring and summers. longevity is 6+ hrs. projection is good 4 hrs. its a perfect barbershop Gentleman Scent.

A very cheap smelling version of Chanel's regal Platinum Égoiste. Inexpensive and lasts a long time, but I'd rather stick to the real thing. This has the same basic notes without the panache.

This Cologne is the definition of fresh out of the shower scent. This one and eau de passion edp smells the same but edt is lighter and the edp is heavier. It's redundant to have both.

Good point to the previous poster, after testing I immediately said this is Egoiste Platinum but much cheaper and good quality. Not bad at all, people could never tell the difference.

Smells like Platinum Egoiste. It's a little stronger in my opinion. Would recommend to try. For 20 bucks you can't go wrong.

Veeery close to Egoists Platinum. At least to my nose. Great scent lasts about 4 to 5 hours. Wife really enjoys this one.

99% Platinum Egoiste knockoff, highly recommended!

This to me is a slightly louder version of Chanel Platinum Egoistes opening. The opening from CPE is natural (powdery citrus smell). It's a very beautiful smell. Passion doesn't smell natural at all on the opening to me. It has a sour citrus smell that can come off synthetic. Don't get this if you're looking for the beautiful opening from CPE. You're not going to get it. This dies down around 30min and becomes more tolerable and more similar to the opening of CPE (but still not 100% (80-90% maybe)). CPE after around 30min+ loses most of its citrus smell and the mid notes come out a bit more. The drydown of CPE is very light on my skin, but it's a better drydown than Passion. The two are maybe 50% similar when it comes to drydowns. Armaf Legesi might be a better CPE attempt. Going to have to try that in the future. I can't really justify this as a blind buy for someone else, but it was only $19.48 for me on ebay. Really depends on what you like about Chanel Platinum Egoiste. Passion is similar enough for someone that likes CPE to be a justifiable purchase though. It gets a like from me. Could even get a love from me in the future after I get more familiar with it. Like I said, can't justify this as a blind buy for someone that wants an identical clone for CPE, but I think most people would be more than happy with Passion. EDIT: a few days after my initial review I have to say that this scent has very good in longevity on clothes. I was still getting whiffs of this a few days later on my shirt. Most scents will linger on clothing for a while, but only be detectable up close. For Passion, I don't have to get close to the clothing in order to detect it.

Eau de Passion by Franck Olivier is an absolute bargain masterpiece. And it's not hyperbole to say it's just about a 90% match to Platinum Egoiste - unless you smell them side by side, I doubt all but the most obsessed PE fans could ever tell the difference - and even most wouldn't know them side by side, for that matter. Other than that, what does this remind me of? A very successful melding of two very different styles - on one end, you have a dominant accord (80-90%) consisting of the herbaceous green and floral notes of a classic barbershop scent - think somewhere between GIT and F Black for reference. On the other end, you have the hint (10-20%) of a warmly spiced sweetness of The One. It makes little sense that the two styles should work together, but they absolutely do in this work of alchemy. And in so doing, they make up a complex but fairly linear scent that really does it right. Does it shout out and announce its presence in a room? No. It rewards those who come close with an aura of integrity and confidence. Does it last for days on end? No, but it does seem to last a good work day, where you can at least enjoy it up close. This stuff is the scent of a gentleman, young, old or anywhere in between. Clean and worldly, civilized and confident. Safe and friendly, neither polarizing or too sweet. And it can be had for an absolute song. Go get it now!

I have a bad habit of blind-buying perfumes on regular basis. 90% of the perfumes I bought was based on blind buy. I even did this with some Tom Ford perfumes and ended up paying the full amount and the result wasn't as pleasant as I imagined. So, lately I've been thinking to get Chanel Platinum Egoiste and as usual I visit my favorite site Fragrantica and enjoy reading the reviews. It seems a very nice perfume from the reviews. And I found that it is similar to Eau de Passion Franck Olivier according to the suggestion. This EdP Franck Olivier costs around $15 so hey, even if I don't like it, its better to lose $15 rather than losing $100. Well, this thing rocks. its really a nice perfume for this money. And now I can only imagine, if EdP Franck Olivier smells this nice, how will Chanel Platinum Egoiste smell. Thank you EdP Franck Olivier for being inexpensive nice perfume, and (hopefully) be on the same level of Chanel Platinum Egoiste. Chanel PE, you are next in my blind buy list. Yes, it's similar to Chanel Platinum Egoiste. This and Armaf Legesi are the best PE clones I've found. That being said, it's missing that metallic sort of zing of PE and in its place is a slightly off-putting clove note. It's not necessarily unpleasant, but it conjures up memories of sneaking off school grounds to smoke clove cigarettes with my friends in high school. Nice at first, but leaves me feeling slightly sick to my stomach afterward. At least it doesn't make your fingers stink 😂 But I digress... The "cloying clove" issue notwithstanding, it's a solid effort and for $15-20 a bottle you can do much worse. Blind buy worthy for sure.

Definitely it is refreshing, a summer fragrance. I tested on skin, cloth, hair, and even on a piece of paper. The scent is very good, superb, but silage is weak, longevity is moderate, perhaps 3-4 hours. It has some similarities to Blue Jeans by Versace, specially the opening notes, as i compared side-by-side. As they dry down, then they go into different venues. Blue Jeans is more powdery (which I don’t like at all) and perhaps a little bit more on the spicy side. While Eau de Passion goes more into the green notes. Eau de Passion by Frank Oliver could be my number one fragrance if wasn’t the bad performance, which is a no-no for me.

Blind buy success. Aromatic, woody, metallic, and clean. Shaving foam vibes.Good for most occasions and seasons. The bottle feels cheap but the scent doesn't. It makes me feel like I'm a sharp-dressed man (though I'm usually not), and evokes images of a time when most men wore suits, or at least a collared shirt tucked in, when they left the house. I haven't smelled Chanel's Platinum Egoiste, and Eau de Passion makes me curious about it... But chbad's comment from 4/25/22 makes me think I should just save my cash and stick with this gem.

A carbon copy twin of Égoïste platinum by Chanel. Like a carbon copy... It isn't exact and lacks depth. This seems lighter and more feminine than égoïste platinum (which itself seems lighter than it used to be). Also, it is synthetic and I smelled a strange muted wintergreen note in the opening and middle. It is a pleasant fragrance and frankly a great deal at around $18. If you can sample égoïste platinum somewhere, you have a pretty good idea of what eau de passion smells like. It has one of the most useless caps in all of perfumery.

I just tried Legesi after my last review. I find Passion keeps it's opening well into the drydown whereas Legesi has a more woody/peppery smell towards the end. The opening/mid of Legesi is more similar to CPE, but Passion is still better in the mid/dry. Still hate the sourness of Passions initial opening, but it dies down after a bit. Legesi has a better open that's damn close to CPE.

I buy this fragrance cause i read some reviews who said that its identical to Channel Egoiste Platinum, and i have to say that in my skin they are 2 completely different fragrances... I buy in without smell it or i try it... Its not bad after all but i think that creates με a headache...

Eau de Passion Men is a strong fragrance by Franck Olivier. It opens with a fresh and clean scent, then settles into what can best be described as a citrusy-spice. The underlying florals bring a sweetness that might be a bit too feminine for me.

This is a shaving cream kind of scent. I do have platinum egoist, for me they are very different. This scent is creamy, barbershop shaving cream with a small percentage of the dry down coming close to platinum. 8/10

Lol totally not what I expected. There is a very strong vanilla note, that reminds me of Versace Eros, because there is also geranium and slight mint, it creates the same accord. Weird how no-one mentioned this. Also, having smelled Egoiste, I don't think it's close at all, not even made me think of it for the first impression. However, this has a nice smell for a cheap fragrance, but you can smell that it's not expensive, it has that cheap cedar note... I think that if you are someone who has many fragrances this might not be your best buy, but I think it could be great if you like masculine vanilla scent and don't mind that cheap cedar note.

In the drydown, this is genuinely almost a 1:1 match to Platinum Egoiste. If you enjoy that style of fragrance, just buy it without overthinking. You can often find it on sale for around $15, which is ridiculously cheap for what you get. As for the scent itself, it’s basically classic Gillette shaving foam in fragrance form: black pepper, mint, geranium, sage, lavender, and a touch of vetiver. Personally, this style isn’t for me, but that’s purely a matter of taste. The fragrance itself is well-made and worth every penny.

Let's get simple! 😁 It smells like shaving cream, I never smelled platinum egioste, so all I can say is it smells very good especially for the price, I put drakkar noir on one wrist and eau de passion on the other and I can tell a small difference. Drakkar is like darker and sweeter, Frank Oliver is brighter and it's very pleasant. Definitely a barbershop fragrance. Very good blind buy 8.5/10

Barber shop scent. Smells like Gillette and metal. 85% geranium 5% lavender 10% sage then it's like u smell the metal from the clippers. Honestly I wouldn't mind if it was more powdery, would of been a hit for me with out the metallic note as well. Still have a half of bottle for trade. Brought in 2022.

That is totally a synthetic fragrance with spicy and woody scent. I can smell citrus scent too, Although it is not as much as spicy and woody scent. Both longevity and silage is good. I can say the longevity is 6 to 7 hours and the projection is a bit more that arm length. To be frank, for such a cheap perfume, I don't expect brilliant scent. In terms of projection and longevity, the results are great. All in all I recommend buying better quality perfumes. It is not something special. By spending a bit more money, It would be possible to purchase better perfume with natural scent instead of chemical one.

Sweaty armpit musk (after a shower, not the old stinky sweat), doesn't even compare to Platinum Egoiste in the slightest. Not metallic and cold, herbal and clean, just citrus and sweaty musk. This is not a dupe of Platinum Egoiste. The only duped thing in this room is me - I got duped into buying this by reviews saying it smells like PE. Also the silver plastic on the bottle came off together with the cap. Very fitting that the quality of the bottle matches the quality of the scent. Don't bother if you're looking for a good PE clone.

Definitely woody. Smelled good at the store, nice sweet citrus top notes, that's why I bought it. But drys down pretty quickly. Pretty generic, dry, woody middle; cheap smell. Smelled good the next day though, can't explain that. Wife didn't like it. Inexpensive, but I hate having cologne that I don't wear. I keep trying it to see if it grows on me. It doesn't. I was wrong. Shouldn't have bought it. Kept the box. Going to make a nice gift..
